The Lighthouse Restaurant @ the Oysterfleet Hotel Ratings and Reviews
Evening was very pleasant the only strange thing we weren’t offeed the wine list which I found strange also I asked for elderflower tonic to go with my pink gin and you don’t supply this I found 5hat a bit odd as the gin market is growing with different flavours and mixers
This is as far as I’m concerned my favourite place to eat weather for a private meal with my wife
Or to meet friends I have also had my 70th birthday get together with family
Waitresses always helpful never pushy act as if they are friends not yet had a bad meal
The Lighthouse Restaurant is always a lovely place to go for a meal out simply because the food is plentiful and very reasonable. Usually the food is pretty outstanding as well but unfortunately on this occasion the potato skins I was served as a starter were burnt on the ends and very hard - quite unpleasant :o( I wished I had chosen the tandoori chicken strips for a starter which was what my husband chose - they were cooked perfectly.
Business lunch for which the venue was perfect. Very good service, friendly, professional staff, excellent menu, very good quality food, lovely ambience, good wine list, no rushing. Will definitely use again and recommend to friends and business acquaintances.
We had lunch on Saturday and were surprised to find the restaurant mostly empty. The service and food were very good. Some of the menu options were different! I'm not sure why you would want gnocchi and rice with beef goulash?! It could do with a couple of old favourites for the less adventurous. I think the steak and chips were overpriced for a local restaurant - working in London I am used to high prices!
Overall it was a lovely lunch and the staff were efficient and friendly.
The restaurant has been refurbished to a high standard. We were a group of 8 and had an enjoyable time. We were not rushed and everybody was served at the same time. The waitresses are attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Will be going in the summer as the restaurant overlooks a lake and I am sure will enhance the experience. Recommend this restaurant.
My mother and I visited your restaurant on the 2nd Year Anniversary of my father's death. We sat overlooking the lake which was wonderful. My only criticism was that the apple tart I had for dessert had been reheated in the microwave so the pastry was soggy. It was a shame as the quality of food for the rest of the meal was very good.
