Since the pandemic I have eaten at the Little Owl about six times and each time has been wonderful It's still the charming restaurant it was when it opened back in the day, and fortunately for it, the location is well equipped to handle outdoor dining. As usual the food is very good and it's a nice escape to be there amidst the beautiful homes of yester-year, and yet close to the Hudson if you want to take a walk. I'm a fan.
Very nice outdoor seating ambiance. Excellent service. Best pork chop I ever had!
The quintessential west village restaurant. Charming, hospitable and the food is ALWAYS delicious. There is not one thing I would not eat on that menu.
A perfect evening was had here at The Little Owl. Service was fantastic at every stage of the meal and every one of the team here made our wedding anniversary so special. To every single person on the team that connected with us - THANKYOU! You made our night and you also made us 2 raving fans of your restaurant. Hugs, Owen & Finn.
Celebrated our engagement here and the staff was wonderful!
(1) Food was delicious, portions were very small though and thus overpriced (2) service staff made us feel rushed, and moved us out quickly as soon as we received the bill (and not very warmly or subtly)
Cute place! Little expensive, but I am a ho for their rose sangria.
Seating was outside and very tastefully done, food and service was excellent. Recommended!
Covid mandated outdoor seating - very well done. All tables occupied but well-spaced and service excellent. Food as great as always. A very pleasant evening out.
Not very much food for the price. It was brunch. Dinner’s here much better for what you get.
Great service from the minute we arrived. Our table wasn’t quite ready so we had drinks brought to us and constant communication from the great front of house guy. Very tasty food and the Happy Hour we slipped in to (3-5) was very good: $1 tapas and bogof wine.
Great way to end our Sunday. Our server was amazing welcoming , attentive and just great energy. I’d forgotten about this little gem
Great spot for brunch outside on a quiet side street. Eggplant parm is delicious and the french toast looks great but didn’t get to try it. Only miss was the fresh orange juice which tasted a bit like tangerine.
We had a nice dinner with my boyfriend for my birthday despite rainy weather. The food was delicious, West Village ambiance is always nice and the prices were within the expected range. It is a nice, sweet, small place. The staff were kind but I cannot say as an establishment they go the extra mile to make the customer feel special.
I am not writing this as a negative comment but just to assist the management and the team in future operations.
I was not planning to have a birthday cake so did not order but they knew it was my birthday. In the end of the meal, I asked for a candle with my dessert and they provided, together with dessert wine, which I appreciated. Thank you. However, I would have expected the nice gesture from their side without me asking for it. Even small. Anyways, it was a nice evening and dinner in overall during these unprecedented times and Covid-19 reality. Thanks to the team.
Perfect. Every. Single. Time.
Perfect spot for a relaxing lunch - great location fantastic staff and the meal was good too! Great spot
amazing dinner - such a drag to be rushed out by the owner in an awkward manner we were not there that long...
After having passed by for many years this was our first dining experience.
We were blown away with the creativity and quality that created one of the best value for money dining we have had in some time.
Very good experience at Little Owl. The host and the server were extremely courteous.
The brunch is fantastic! Outdoor seating is cozy. Service is stellar!
Food was excellent and the service outstanding. Go
Outdoor dining was terrific, food was great, as was the service. Highly recommend.
We love this charmer nestled in the West Village. Expanded outdoor dining and ambience. Bring your dog! A very friendly place and maxing food & wine.
A charming place with wonderful food. Love the outdoor dining options. The West Village at its best.
Great service and great food
The Sangria is very good and refreshing. Quite a lot of outdoor seating available (compared to other small restaurants).
It was great for socially distanced brunch in August 2020
A charming neighborhood gem with excellent casual food and a staff that remains
amazingly friendly and accommodating even under the stress of limited outdoor space.
Wonderful omlets for brunch.
This the perfect date spot! The drinks are incredible and creative & the food is fresh. I recommend the street corn!
Wonderful! And biodynamic wine-the icing on the cake!
Outdoor brunch was lovely. Quiet block, friendly staff, yummy food.
My best friend and I loved this little spot for Saturday brunch. The brioche was to die for, and the coffee was quite good as well! We also split the fries, which were delicious. Loved our fun and friendly server, Brianna, too!
Went for brunch and sat outside. I had a great cocktail and a delicious omelette. Will definitely be going back.
Spectacular just spectacular! This is the read deal when it comes to a NYC restaurant. We had the halibut and chicken which were exquisite along with a great bottle of wine. Miguel our server was perfect and the hospitality provided by Theresa, Lisa and Joey cannot be matched.
delicious food and amazing ambiance!
Had a wonderful dinner on a beautiful NYC night! Staff was so friendly and my friend and I both felt very comfortable with their Covid precautions. Thanks Little Owl!
Thank YOU Erin! Thanks for dining with us and we really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We're so happy to hear you felt comfortable with our precautions, and that y'all enjoyed dinner with us. We hope to see you back soon! Take care, Essence S.
It’s the best chicken in New York City! With beignets for dessert to cap it off I thought I’d died and gone to heaven! Staff always great and the outside dining is quintessential west village ❤️
One of my all time favorite restaurants in the West Village! We went in the middle of a thunderstorm and the entire staff, including the chef himself, moved tables and umbrellas around to make sure that we were as dry as possible. The food was impeccable and the service was amazing. We spoke with the chef at the end of the meal and he was such a wonderful person. He is coming out with a cookbook, Big Love Cooking, that everyone should buy!
Yummy comfy and delicious!
