Best dinner! Had a fab night and our waiter was amazing!
The chicken and chorizo risotto was lovely, so glad I ordered it.
Very disappointing. Food was awful... steak was not cooked how we asked for it, replacement meal came and the chips were cold, other meals were tasteless and poor. we were told they had functions on and this maybe the reason, that is not an excuse. Service was good and they did apologise. Good thing, the cocktails were nice.
Second time visiting here and food and service was just as great as the first. Not overly expensive and very pleased, will definitely come again
Brilliant restaurants. Beautifully furnished to a very high standard. It was a little quiet when we went but it was a Monday evening. Staff were great especially Louis who looked afte us and was very attentive. Highly recommend.
Pretty busy so glad we had booked. Went for cocktails - great list and not just the usual ones. Excellent waitress service that saved battling to the bar. we didn't eat so not sure about food, but would certainly recommend it for drinks
Spent my birthday here, food and cocktails are amazing.
Came on Saturday for the Pornstar martini tree as part of a weekend away! Ordered the 12 cocktail tree. Rather disappointed that we couldn’t have the full tree in one go as this is what I wanted the other person to see as part of the wow factor! Instead we were given 6, they went and then a further 6! The second 6 came with no prosecco which we had to wait 20 minutes for until my friend chased it up!
Disappointed. We warned the waiter that putting the cocktail tree under light was probably not a good idea - this was ignored. This caused the light to crack and a cocktail to spill. No one asked if we were OK. We were halfway through our second cocktail tree when the waiter came over and removed our remaining drinks and put them on the table to take the tree. It would have been polite for them to ask if it was OK to take it back. The bill was brought to our table without us asking for it or no explanation and then the waiter came over with the card machine. This made us feel like we were unwanted in the restaurant. Only after we paid were we told if we liked the cocktails we could go downstairs but they needed the table back (the restaurant was half empty and the same sized tables next to us had been empty the whole time we were there). Do not think the service charge was worth the service we got and was not told this was to be added to the bill as there was only 3 of us.
We went as a group an everyone thoroughly their meals- best sea food linguini I've ever had! Great deal on cocktails and our waiter, Bruno, was absolutely excellent, so hard working and approachable but also fun and looked like he really enjoyed his job, he made our experience even better!we will be back! Thank you!
Went here mainly for the pornstar martini tree which was a delifht. The food was also delicious and the staff were very attentive! Overall a lovely place, would highly recommend!
Lovely restaurant. We went in the evening bank holiday (Easter Monday) it wasn't busy at all, thought it would have been slightly busy because it was at half 8. Nonetheless, the cocktails were fab, prawn lollipop starter was tasty. My boyfriend and I both got burgers he got the chicken one and I got the hand pressed burger it was delicious. Expected our bill to be more than it was, but it wasn't. So great value for money. Our waitress was lovely too! Overall we were both really happy with the service. The bar area is nice and so was the restaurant area, very cute, would reccommed it for date nights, catching up with friends or even birthdays.
Lovely meal! Great service and the cocktail menu is outstanding - lots of choice!
Will definitely be eating here again.
Nicest place me and my friends have ever been, made our trip to Manchester 👍🏽☺️
The living room was perfect for our girlie night get together! Will go back food and cocktails fabulous and the decor gorgeous too
The Living Room Manchester offers great food and service. I take clients there regularly when on business in Manchester
This was a treat for my mum for Mother's Day. We ordered brunch and was told it was being updated so there was only a couple of choices, however that was not a problem as we ordered the eggs benedict which was lovely. The waiters was very friendly the only issue was the latte was cold but it wasn't a problem and was changed immediately. It was a pleasant overall experience.
Excellent food, service very slow, not enough staff to cater for customers
I went here for my birthday and had preorderd the pornstar martini tree. Was greeted at the door by a friendly guy who wished me happy birthday and saw that we had ordered the tree so sat us closer to the bar. The tree was started to be made as soon as we sat so we didn't have to wait long. It was amazing it was worth the money ey and the sparkler on top added that something extra. Very happy with the staff and the ambience of the place.
Great place, lovely decor, would recommend for any occasion.
We had a lovely girly afternoon and was looked after really well! The cocktails were great and food perfect amount and very tasty for brunch! We will be back soon I’m sure x
Unfortunately I can't remember her name, but a lovely blonde Australian waitress gave us excellent service and was extremely friendly and polite. Food was incredible. Will definitely visit again!
Really good value, not over priced. Lovely setting upstairs
The food was exceptional, however service was a let down. When coming in, we waited at the door for about 5 mins and no one approached us. We then walked towards the bar to try and find out who should seat us. The waitress then told us we should have waited at the door for our table (but we did, and no one helped us).
We sat and ordered drinks (even water took 15 mins to come), pornstar martini tree was amazing, however there wasn't enough shot glasses for prosecco so we only got 6 instead of 9, and the waitress never bought then rest of them to us.
We then had to wait quite a long time for the bill too. Not sure whether all of this was due to the lack of staff in on the evening.
Loved the cocktails that we had - we shared one of the pornstar martini trees and then I had a margarita which was strong and delicious! We did wait a little while for the food but given that it was a busy Friday night with a couple of big tables, it didn’t really bother us. The food was beautifully presented and was good. Nice and friendly waitress too!
Visited for mother’s day food was lovely, staff were really friendly, would definitely recommend this to others well worth another visit.
The restaurant failed to honour their “mothers eat free” deal for Mother’s Day, on top of this the live music sold alongside the Mother’s Day event was done by a underequipped musician who spent the whole time squabbling with the sound guy before blowing the whole restaurants ears open with a bad sound check.
The food was mediocre at best I had a club steak sandwich and the steak was chewy gristly and overcooked ... a small glass of wine, which was essentially a dribble poured into a gargantuan glass was £7 a glass and tasted worse than the £3 bottles you can get at Aldi.
Terrible experience, we ate and politely left feeling jaded by the whole thing. Would definitely not recommend.
The food was lovely but was very disappointed as there was no live music which had been advertised.
We mentioned it to the waitress and she responded quite rude so we asked for the manager who wasn’t much better. A disappointed Mother’s Day
Food and drinks were great.
Fantastic value !! Great service!
Really nice meal and terrific service. Just wish the very good sticky toffee pudding had been hot.
Apart from a hold up with the table, lovely place highly recommend
Always good in the the living room. Whenever we head to Manchester we always make time for this place. Great atmosphere and decent people. Always a pleasure.
The best goats cheese salad I have ever tasted!! Chilled environment, good for people watching with a cocktail!! Definitely worth a visit!!
Table was booked for 8:15, was sat down at 8:50. I think we had been forgotten about. Food was nice, Cocktails was nice. Service could have been a bit more efficient but it was busy due to being Valentine’s Day. I would return as it’s a lovely place.
Great service with amazing food, will definitely book again 😊
Booked a table at the Living Room for Valentines Day, and myself and my partner were thoroughly impressed with the service, the atmosphere, the quality of the food and cocktails. It was a busy night, but the service was efficient and and excellent. When we retired to the bar we had space to ourselves and not budging for room like most restaurants.
Food was brilliant and the live music ambience created was magical.
All in all it was a trully exceptional experience and made our Valentine’s Day truly memorable indeed.
Can not recommend it highly enough.
Thank you Living Room!!
Emailed the restaurant to advise I wasn’t happy about my dining experience and their response was to ask further queries and provide excuses.
A ‘kind-of’ apology was provided.
Rushed meal, spaghetti wasn’t great, would not come again.
You can get much better food at a variety of different restaurants within Manchester – wouldn’t bother coming here.
The Icelandic beer is nice though.
Lovely afternoon. We were looked after by Bruno and he was brilliant. Food was also very nice. Definitely return again.
All the food was lovely. The waitress was very friendly and kept the drinks flowing.
Gorgeous food and very friendly service
