The Masons Arms
Absolutely outstanding food, atmosphere and service. Nothing more I can add. Thanks very much.
Lovely pub with great food. The service was very good and we have a lovely time.
Used to go here all the time but very disappointed with the overall feel of the place, the food was very disappointing and most items had run out.
Friday evening, it was surprising and would not be likely to return. Food used to be fantastic but a real shame....
Staff when you could attract their attention were very good. The pub appears to be busy early evening and being served becomes a perceived problem. Whilst I appreciated their own brewed beer & pricing I thought the glass of wine prices were a tad expensive. The menu itself is quite limited - no bad thing perhaps however, I was slightly disappointed with my choice of Beef Rib, my wife took one of the two veggie options and was similarly disappointed.
You couldn't fault the waiting staff once you had gained their attention and I would actually suggest that the food must be very good normally judging by the numbers of folk there - it was just not quite right for us on this occassion
Lovely time had by our whole family for Sunday roast, excellent.
We were looking for a great family restaurant while in the area. It was an incredible find. Food was excellent, service even better. Would return without hesitation!
Excellent food, service and atmosphere... lovely traditional pub.
Excellent all round 😊
We had a lovely roast at The Masons Arms. The portions were large and tasty and worth the money. It was a bonus that we could bring our dogs with us.
Great pub, great food and excellent service. Will definitely be returning soon.
An outstanding country pub providing a lovely selection of dishes from starters to mains from some pub classics to newer dishes.
All we ordered was absolutely delicious and served with professionalism, knowledge and humour.
Having been to the Masons Arms many times it is good to be able to say that the experience is consistently good. The quality of the food is excellent and the service is friendly and efficient.
This is a little gem of a place . Stayed overnight on campsite. Facilities good spotless. Lovely beer garden with pizza and fish and chips to eat there or takeaway. We chose to eat dinner inside meal was superb with fresh produce and good quality. Service excellent in fact we decided to also book breakfast which again was high quality. Will definitely return
Lovely food, delightful spot, excellent service. Our first visit but certainly not our last!
Really lovely country pub with a great menu, delicious food and friendly service.
Beautiful old pub, very well maintained. The staff really seemed to care that you were happy there. They’re trying everything to be successful what with the pizza oven, home baked bread, camping field, etc. Go along and support them.
Amazing find, great food & good prices.
So far I've enjoyed every visit to this lovely country pub. It's not too crowded or noisy but busy enough to reassure you that you're somewhere with a good reputation. The staff were keen to ask if we were enjoying our food, and we were. The nut roast was different to the last one I had here (less nuts, more seeds, and a vegetable sauce instead of a traditional gravy) and it would be nice to have a choice of vegan roast dinner too, but otherwise a lovely dining experience.
A very pleasant evening with excellent Beer and a great pizzas, from the wood fired oven!
Lovely craft ales made on the premises, delicious food and very friendly & efficient service. We will definitely return.
We really enjoyed the food and locally made Ales, a cracking night out
We had a last booking for a table of 7, the service was fantastic, a little wait on the pizzas, but fresh as it all was, definitely no complaints. Great food, great atmosphere, great service, would highly recommend. They even gave some blu-tack to my boy who was most upset he had lost his on the way out, couldn't ask for more.
Wonderful food, great service. Looking forward to our next visit.
A good meal in a pleasant atmosphere. Friendly and efficient staff and, generally, a great pub. Would recommend.
Sunday roast meat was tough, think it was cryovac reheated and not fresh, disappointing.
Amazing food, amazing service, will definitely be going again 😊
luckily we skipped the starter as the main course was huge, had to leave some of the main course and leave without a dessert, Good food , not the best dining experience for someone who is not a big eater.
Lovely village pub. Quiet location.
Food was perfectly cooked and hot/chilled as expected.
Reasonably priced food and drinks, similar to other pubs in the area.
Staff were friendly and attentive without being a nuisance.
Would thoroughly recommended and will be back for more soon
Having been to the Manor Arms numerous times my party have always enjoyed the atmosphere and excellent food. We have made this a regular meeting place. the service is always friendly even when busy. Keep up the good work. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Really fantastic welcoming staff, and a superb meal. Food beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Excellent choices on the menu. My wife had the sea bream, and I had the lambs liver - both absolutely delicious! We also had a nice bottle of Malbec to go with the meal. The price was very reasonable for such a good quality meal and experience. Well done to the chefs and staff!
Lovely and delicious food, immaculately presented, and all at extremely reasonable prices. Excellent staff and service, and very good choice of dishes on the menu. Even the bread tasters at the start of our meal, with butter and oil and vinegar were homemade and delicious!! Definitely worth visiting for an exceptional meal!
Another wonderful Sunday lunch. This pub is a gem of a place the staff are very welcoming and helpful. I like the fact that I can take my dog here and he is welcome dog that's on the bar. The food is very good that said it's not the cheapest place in Town but the quality makes up for that. All in all a very nice country pub.
Super meal with family and friends from the States and France. Lovely good, great service in a beautiful setting
Ah , what can I say about the masons , great food , lovely service and fantastic location . We go here regularity , not a roast diner myself , but partner is , he assures me, that that are the best . I love the fact that the menus is so diverse, it caters for every one . It’s small team approach is endearing and the quality of food is outstanding . The micro brewery is an added attraction, well worth a visit , you will not be disappointed
Our first stay, and a perfect stopover on the way to Cornwall with our two dogs
Very impressed. Lovely food and excellent service.
Very good all round just spoilt slightly by the table I sat at being under a staircase. Felt very squashed in
We had our Sunday lunch at the Mason's Arms and were absolutely delighted with our experience. We had an excellent table and the service was superb. The staff were very attentive but didn't hover and gave us enough space to enjoy our meal. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were just right. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Beautiful pub, great food and value. The staff were very helpful and polite. Will definitely be back and recommend to friends. Very pleasant few hours with our family ... thank you!
Very quaint pub in a beautiful village. The staff are a real asset, very friendly, nothing too much trouble. We had a lovely evening meal, however we were one of the first to be seated and my wifes first choice was unavailable, this would have been less aggravating if we had been told what was unavailable when we were given menus. Our room was very well planned and attention to detail was very generous and high. We would definitely stay again so thanks to the 'Masons' team
