The Masons Arms

Friendly staff, we sat on a table at end of garden, staff could e checked on drinks etc more often . Otherwise great meal ! Will visit again.
The dirty fries were incredible! Great service, great pricing, food was amazing
The food was amazing, not a bad price either...
But 1hr 30m wait for food was unbelievable considering there were only about 6 families there? - probably wouldn’t have been so bad if we had had a “sorry for the delay” but there was nothing lol.
The food was amazing definitely worth the price. All the staff and the new owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Felt very safe with the one way system and foot handles to open the doors so you didn’t have to use the door handles, very thoughtful system. We took the dog who also was well and truly greeted we can’t wait to go again!
Excellent pub food and the staff are all attentive, well trained and friendly.
Nice food & friendly service. Good set up to be able to dine outside, although did start to get a bit nippy : ))
Lovely food and plenty of choice even with a reduced menu.
We had a GF guest in our party and I rang up before hand just to check whether there was any dishes they would be able to have and the menu knowledge of the person I spoke to was outstanding and there was plenty of GF items on the menu.
Great service even if the staff were getting slightly damp in the rain. And the tables were well spaced apart to follow Covid-19 measure and they had good procedures in place. We’ll definitely by back again but maybe for a table in the warm next time :)
We had a very enjoyable afternoon 😎🍻👍Good food and good service. Nice to visit a beer garden again👍
Food was tasty and it's a lovely location..the only little downfall was that it took a lil extra time to get my drink but nothing that would put me off returning :)
Lovely food, really friendly staff - will definitely return.
Lovely little pub with good food and service. Great campsite for those with the kit!
Delicious food, friendly staff and beautiful garden
Excellent food, friendly staff and wonderful service, we would definitely recommend.
Lovely country pub with nice staff and good food!
We went when you were only allowed to sit outside, and got a bit chilly when the sun went down, so take a coat if you’re heading there in the next few weeks!
Food was great and the staff lovely
Service was very slow, a long time to wait for drinks order to even be taken. And then another long wait for food to be brought out. Plates were only partially cleared and then forgotten about so no one came back to ask if we wanted desserts.
The food was nice.
The burgers were too small for the bun and were dry. A little overpriced too for the quality, especially the dirty fries. Disappointed as the food used to be amazing there
Lovely pub, it’s the second time we have visited and enjoyed the experience just as much with great friendly service and good valued food. Will be returning for sure!
We’d booked a table for lunch but had to wait 10 minutes to be seated then further 20 to order. Otherwise very nice.
Excellent food on stop down to Cornwall. Looks like they cater for campers in a field as well .
Had a great evening meal when I was staying over at the pub for one night en route going west. The service was really good, welcoming and attentive, without being overbearing, and I have to say "Hats Off!" to the waiting staff who were doing a great job in what was only their second week back after the easing of covid restrictions. I felt safe and looked after at all times. I had a starter and a main, which were both tasty, well-prepared, and served up in good time, and I particularly enjoyed the Beet & Blue Salad starter. All washed down with some cider, it made for a nice dining experience in the pub garden, although it was a little chilly (not the pub's fault - there was an east wind that week) and I was glad I had brought my blanket with me. Thank you.
Relaxed friendly environment.food arrived in a reasonable time frame. Not too busy.lovely to be out in the sunshine
Food nice. However, thought beer/ alcohol expensive.
Brilliant as always - excellent cooking
First meal out since lockdown was lifted and we had a great experience at the Mason’s Arms. The staff were very accommodating with our toddler. The food was delicious, had the pork roast and asked for some apple sauce which tasted homemade, the burger, and fish and chips were also good. Ambiance in the garden was lovely and relaxing. Would definitely recommend.
Food took over an hour to come, only ordered dirty fries. Drink service was also slightly slower than expected as hard to get someone’s attention eventhough it wasn’t overly busy. Got cold waiting for food but food was good quality and came out on hot plate to keep it warm. Bit overpriced. Could offer blankets.
Fantastic as always! Staff were friendly, helpful and covid secure.
Favourite pub in Somerset!
A lovely socially distanced lunch in the garden ‘round house’. Every table in the garden was full but it was quiet and we were served quickly and efficiently by smiling staff. The food was well cooked and presented - a lovely start to being ‘out’ again. Thank you 😊
First trip out for food since lockdown eased- fabulous to go back to the Masons Arms. Easy booking, great process on arrival- a one way system, hand gel, check in with the app, shown to table.
The usual Masons service throughout- great food and cider! Really safe place.
Despite the COVID restrictions we had a safe and very enjoyable evening. We love our local and long may it last!
As always good food and service, lots of little extras on the table to make it a Xmas party. Shame the bar wasn't very full, so lacked a bit of atmosphere.
Lovely pub. Food a notch above usual good pub food. Friendly and helpful and COVID secure.
We visit reasonably regularly. Really good roasts . Really great fish and chips.
Thank you for another great camping trip with fantastic food and service.
Went along for a meal from the Xmas menu. Fantastic value. Roast was lovely. Xmas pud was delicious. Canapés, coffee and mince pie!! Well and truly stuffed! Would highly recommend it!
Lovely local pub with amazing food. Eaten here a few times and will definitely return to support our local!
This place deserves more support at this difficult trading time. Covid compliant, good food and drinks, friendly
Very nice place with good food
Lovely evening catching up with great friends who haven't seen each other due to covid restrictions. Outside, socially distanced, high hygiene standards, masks etc
Lovely pub. Friendly staff. Would be nice if there was a little more vegetarian choice on the menu but overall a lovely experience. Toasty warm too!
