The Masons Arms
A pretty beer garden at the back is perfect for al fresco dining in the warmer months and it has a thatched seating area with a heater and blankets for those chillier evenings. Due to covid we are only able to have 2 tables in this hut so please call if you would like to be inside the hut.
Surrounded by lovely Somerset countryside The Masons Arms is perfect for a quick pint or bite to eat, a full dining experience or a longer stay to explore the area. The welcome is always warm!

I can honestly say this was one of the very best places I have stayed and eaten in. Friendly, warm and very comfortable. My dog Gracie was made such a fuss of, which of course she fully deserved!!
Food was very good, we had delicious nachos for a starter, and 2 types of burger for a main.
Only minus point was the cost of beer. It was £6.50 for Birra Morretti and around £5 for Amstel.
So overall 4/5, well worth going just order a coke or something if you don't want to get stung with drinks bill.
Fab food lovely atmosphere. Staff very attentive.
Welcoming atmosphere, perfect for 4 paws and two legs, good range of beers, fairly priced wine list, interesting menu, food well cooked, nicely presented with decent portions.
Delicious breakfast of fluffy pancakes, bacon and maple syrup.
Friendly staff who seemed eager to please.
A very good little pub. What it does it does well. Attentive staff and the food was as it said on the menu all served on time hot and presentable. If you want decent pub grub done well with great well kept beer then this is the place. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars for the service is because the waitress forgot some of our order but maybe she was new! However she made up for it in her apology and how she dealt with it. Overall I plan to visit this little gem again and I have no doubt that the continuity of standards will remain both in the food and service. A very enjoyable night thank you all.
Menu was a little bland and not the same as shown on this app. When we asked for a the specials we were handed some slips of paper with 2 soup options and that was all. Very surprised the only steak on offer was a gammon steak. The food we ordered was nice, but we were underwhelmed by the quality, especially given the price we paid.
Found the menu choices quite restrictive however the food was tasty but not outstanding.
Despite it being early and the pub was not busy service was slow and we had to go to the bar to say we wanted desert and to pay the bill.
Also initially the wrong bill and the error was only picked up because. I asked for an itemised till receipt.
Have been before for lunch and enjoyed the sandwiches which were very tasty so would recommend for lunch but not dinner
Good food, well cooked, excellent quality
Only problem was disabled access.... not great
Lovely that dogs could come too
Could not fault anything to do with the pub. food excellent
Good food served by polite and friendly staff in a pleasant environment.
So good to see people getting it right. From the Greeting to the Eating a very pleasant experience. Our food was superbly prepared, cooked and presented. Just excellent all round thank you so much. Well done all
I had a meal supplied with double cooked chunky chips absolutely outstanding as was the meal itself. Also my wife and Grandson were with me and their meals were really really good as well.
The Masons Arms sits on the edge of a quiet village in an idyllic setting and serves up absolutely amazing food.
Great atmosphere and food as per usual.
Fabulous service & very accommodating for our 13 month old :) will be back soon x
Really great food and a very interesting menu. Would thoroughly recommend eating here. Very friendly and efficient staff. Will certainly eat here again.
We had a lovely meal, food was excellent, I have marked the service down slightly as we did have a bit of a wait for the food
Easy to find, easy to park. Tables set well apart. Service excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Good choice on the menu, good food, well presented. Would go again.
En route to London from
Cornwall via a303 this was idea alternative for a meal and break compared with services. Desserts quite imaginative
Excellent food, quick service, and quiet. Good place to bring a dog.
Stayed here twice now and loved it both times. Highly recommend thanks
Excellent service. Very accommodating staff. Food was fantastic
We’ve had some good meals here in the past, but unfortunately this visit didn’t live up to expectations.
The menu on the booking website was not on offer,, neither were the service times accurate…..
The actual menu on offer was very limited and disappointing.
Very good Sunday dinner of roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. Beef was wry tender.
Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere
Really lovely Sunday roast, perfectly cooked, and amazing pudding. I had the Tiffin. It was so well presented and good value. We had a lovely relaxed time and excellent service. Highly recommended.
Lovely old fashioned pub in a very quiet location. If the weather is nice there is the option to sit outside. Staff were attentive and helpful. Definitely recommend! 😊
The food is worthy of a top london gasto pub. The service was great and the staff all very friendly. We will come back. Thank you.
Service was quite slow, food was warm, should of been hot! Sunday evening roast, very over priced, 2 roast potatoes, vegetables over cooked!
Lovely hidden away pub, find it, it’s worth the twisting narrow roads.
Great food, lovely pub, charming staff. Highly recommend .
Great food, no odcombe no1 beer with new management but firsty ferret was good, sat outside in pretty garden
Great roast beef! Lovely staff, wonderful building.
Lovely meal freshly cooked. Vegan nut roast especially tasty.
Interesting menu and high quality food. Really enjoyed the evening.
Good menu choice , the children’s menu was reasonable too. Friendly and helpful staff. Tasty and well presented food, for a reasonable price. Service was quite slow , particularly as it didn’t seem very busy…..
Will probably return again though!
Disappointing experience in a pub that used to excel. It might have been an atypical night, but my halloumi was rock solid and excessively salty. The service was mediocre and ambience lacking charm. They need to do better!
Third time dining here and each time was outstanding. Breakfast also fantastic. Everthing is freshly prepared and good size portions. The hake is a smaller meal but absolutely delicious. Burgers really good, gammon was the best my husband has had and chilli nachos also great. Really good food and a lovely pub too. Would recommend.
The food here was amazing - even from the kids menu, which is too often an afterthought in pubs. Service was friendly and welcoming, and the venue was taking COVID security seriously.
A beautiful little pub, very comfortable with great service.
The food was outstanding! I just wish I had room for dessert.
