The Masons Arms
Really lovely pub with a pretty little garden and a very dog friendly attitude.
I might recommend it but we didn't enjoy it - the bar person who served us had no idea what white wine they served and just said 'white '
Great service, friendly staff and the veggie roast was delicious. Would recommend. Great music too..!
Really enjoyable family meal on the weekend . Spacious , airy, good quality food and friendly, helpful staff make this a relaxing down to earth traditional pub to eat in. Value for money plus nice wine .
I've had the Sunday roast here before, it's one of the best. And on the whole the service, staff and food are great here.
We just happened to go in on a Sunday where there was a football match on on the quite empty pub. and it was playing at a deafening volume on surround sound on every speaker in the pub which a maximum of 20 people were watching. The pub was hardly rowdy.
We left just paying for our drinks.
Will probably be back, but would appreciate the staff 'reading the room' and turning down the volume so that the 5 or six couples and half a dozen solo drinkers could enjoy the place rather than be massively put off.
always our choice on match days and staff on this occasion were brilliant to fit in some extra numbers
I booked a table to meet with some friends and watch the Ireland v England Six Nations Rugby game. The viewing screens were well placed, the pub was not packed, but nicely filled. I ate a chicken wrap and we shared some table snacks which were lovely. The bar staff were excellent, friendly and poured a perfect pint of Guinness. Great night.
First visit for Sunday lunch. I drive past on the way home from work nearly every day. Looks so much better inside. I was attracted by the Sunday lunch sign outside. Staff were great.
Great food staff are incredible great value for money
Great for drinks, not for food in the winter. I remember summer barbies were great.
Service was wonderful, very friendly.
Food was overpriced, and seemed made from frozen and past due date
Great pub with a really nice ambiance. Staff are very helpful and the food is excellent.
When you’ve made a reservation using Open Table through the pubs own website you kinda think that your reservation is sound.... apparently not!
When we arrived for our Sunday Lunch booking at the time on my emailed confirmation we were told that they didn’t have our booking as they are too busy to check the reservations! Not a sorry from either of the staff we spoke to. Just told to hang around and see if a table becomes available.
WHY DO YOU BOTHER TO USE OPEN TABLE IF YOU JUST IGNORE THE BOOKINGS!!!! Just ask people to ring and book then.... waste of time and absolutely infuriating!
Needless to say we left and had a fantastic roast at The Whippet Inn - go there if you want a great roast with friendly service! I’ll never try to eat at The Masons again.
Passed by many times and finally decided to try it out - met some friends there ad loved it - great pub
Great sunday roast - delicious vegetarian wellington!
Nice pub with a big beer garden and bbq. THE food is OK(easy going) great for a group party. Only 1 thing what missing is the music outside.
Friendly staff and quick service sat in the garden on a beautiful sunny day a very enjoyable afternoon
Did not like the dj did not play the music we asked for !! Last time the dj was excellent but unfortunately this one was not good 😊
I have to say I was extremely impressed with this pub, which was recommended by a colleague.
As soon as I have made the booking, i received a call to ask whether I would like to watch the rugby and if we would be dining. Very professional and much appreciated.
Upon arrival I saw my table reservation and sat down. When ordering at the bar the young lady explained that they wouldn't be able to do table service as they were busy, absolutely fine, and it goes a long way in my books to explain this to your customers, so I know exactly what I'm doing. No trouble at all. Food was awesome, steak was cooked perfectly (and I am very particular about that), possibly the best chips I've ever had, great seasoning. A young chap was constantly on the floor and cleaning glasses and plates, which didn't go unnoticed. Only issue I had was the position where we were sat. We had to stand up a few times to see the big screen because there were many forming in front of us (as an avid rugby fan, this was slightly annoying). Would only ask that this is monitored a bit more, and next time I come back I can just specify I'd like to be further front, no problem. This place really has it together, and overall an enjoyable afternoon!
Food was average a little disappointing, and rushed, portions were not generous. My cream brûlée was liquid. Staff were attentive, but there really rushing us initially, but always helpful. Ambient music was far too loud so we could hardly hear ourselves talk.
Looking forward to a Christmas meal at the Masons (Mon 23 Dec) and had booked a table for 8. Arrived to find the pub rammed with football fans watching a live match on SKY Sports and with a 2 for 1 burger offer, all tables were taken and little space to move.
I suspect we would have had a fabulous night had the football not been on but why advertise and accept bookings for Christmas dinner and ruin the experience for diners with 2 for 1 burger and live football - money obviously.
We couldn't find our table and get to speak to staff as it was too busy, so we had to leave and find a last minute diner elsewhere. Usually a good experience at the Masons. Be warned, it's a SKY Sports pub, so ASK if this is going to clash with your table booking.
Living 5 mins from here is a god send. A nice big pub that plays sport, good music, tasty food and huge outdoor area. Friendly crowd and conveniently across the road from Kensal Green Tube when friends visit.
The Masons is always a good option if you want to catch up/hang out with friends, eat good food and drink wine! The service on this occasion was not as good as it has been in the past - but that wouldn't stop me from returning again.
Another excellent pub lunch at The Masons with improved service from last time!
The Masons is very hit or miss, generally the food is great pub grub but the service can be slow. Nevertheless a great local pub for me and my colleagues.
The Masons Arms is my local and a great gastro pub though I suspect it has lost its lustre in the past year as it used to me much busier and the clientele were a lot funkier before. The food here is always pretty good - standard gastro pub fare and mildly elevated prices considering the location but you get a good feed and the inside of the pub is very nice (although I wish they hadn't replaced the gorgeous chandeliers with chintzy lampshades). Glad this is my local, would always recommend.
The Masons Arms provided great food and service for a reasonable price!
Visited the Trattoria dal Biassanot in Bologna on 12/08/2011. Friendly staff gave us a warm welcome. Food and atmosphere were great, I would recommend this restaurant for a good night out if in Bologna.
I always go to The Masons Arms with colleagues and recently the place has really improved. Under new management the staff seem friendlier and more willing to help. The menu has also changed with better value meals added but they still taste just as good. A happy customer once again!
We came to the Masons for a work lunch. It's the only really decent place to eat nearby and they do good food however the service is nearly always very poor. Orders get confused frequently and today many of us were waiting for our chips way after we'd finished the rest of our meals. I think this place isn't cut out for big groups so I'd only recommend it for smaller parties.
Good food, nice place. Perfect for a general meet up. Would definitely recommend.
Not 100% sure when we arrived but great food and good service.
Trattoria dal Biassanot was well recommended. The food was very good and good value. The service was friendly and relaxed, perhaps too relaxed when trying to attract attention to pay the bill.Would certainly go back.
The Masons Arms is my local pub to work and we go there often for lunchtimes and special occasions in the evening. The staff are always super friendly and accomodating even when we order food at different times from eachother.
The Masons Arms is a good spot for alfresco dining. The food is on the most part very well done however it seems quite expensive for what is essentially a pub however the friendly service and beer garden make up for that. Two members of our party had their food delivered much later than everyone else and although the chef did come over to apologize I think a small discount or something complimentary wouldn't have gone amiss. Despite this I would go back again!
