Whether you are looking for a quick drink, snack or three course meal we can accommodate your needs. Our food is freshly made by our award winning Head Chef using seasonal local produce. In winter you can eat by the wood fire in our rustic restaurant and in summer take advantage of our award winning garden and eat outside on the comfortable wooden furniture enjoying the views with one of our 140+ gins served from our outdoor bar.
Loved it, will definitely be back 👌 food was lovely, great staff, lovely restaurant and garden, perfect for the summer evenings and cosy in the Winter months in the bar/restaurant.
Fantastic food and beautiful location. Service was slow but friendly staff
Lovely location and gardens. Food was excellent and staff friendly and attentive.
We had brought out children along and although the food was really nice I would love to see a children’s menu.
Generally very good. It was Father’s Day so it was busy when we arrived but we were at our table in no time and the staff were cheerful and couldn’t do enough to help - nothing was a problem and all done in good humour and with a smile. Excellent. A new favourite.
We have now made many visits to the Maytime - first attracted by their friendly attitude towards dogs and then discovered their excellent food, service and lovely setting. It’s beautiful for eating out on a warm day but equally pleasant inside when cold or wet! The menu offers something for everyone without being too big - always good fish and game included plus very tasty homemade pies. - thank you for the warm welcome including my little dog!
Feeling a little underwhelmed by the duck starter, I was blown away by the roast beef main which was probably the best beef I have ever tasted. Overall great Sunday lunch with impressive gin and tonic offerings to wash it all down with.
The Maytime Inn is everything I hope for in a pub but seldom find these days--traditional but within a beautiful building and with the best outside garden anywhere. Friendly service, good food and plenty of seating--this pub has it all. Keep up the good work--we had a lovely Sunday lunch.
Great Sunday afternoon atmosphere! Sat outside - not a huge range of food for vegetarians as 4 roast meat dinners then only 2 other options. OK value for 3 courses but we were then overcharged and when I questioned it the waitress tried to argue that it was correct but it wasn’t - nearly £10 difference!!! Food was lovely though and choice of gins amazing!
Beautiful garden and pub, lovely food and very pleasant staff. Excellent
Extremely disappointing. Having booked for 4 was very surprised to be shown to a table set for 2 with only 3 chairs. Then had to remind staff that we needed a 4th chair. Service was really slow and food wasn’t anything exceptional considering the price. At no stage during the meal did any staff check to see if everything was ok and no apology was received for the length of wait.
This was our first visit to The Maytime Inn and we had a great time. Our overnight stay was very relaxing with a lovely breakfast the next morning. The meal we had in the evening was excellent, probably among the best we have ever had in an Inn/Pub. Would highly recommend.
Great beer garden & gin bar. Very pretty pub & smiley helpful staff, but... the lunchtime sandwiches were average & made with cheap sliced bread. It was also understaffed, we had to go to the till to ask for water, cutlery, condiments & the bill. Next time we go, we’ll sit nearer to the bar & will order the fish & chips!
Lovely Inn in a quiet village in the Cotswolds. Very friendly staff, nice ambience serving good food.
Gorgeous location, a friendly genuine smile and positive greeting from the bar staff, a limited but delicious menu offering options for all tastes and food preferences and reasonably priced. Highly recommend but be sure to book in advance!
Great gin and tonic list, enjoyed pleasant Sunday evening meal, lovely food choices for our range of differing tastes.
Beautiful food in wonderful location. Great with families and friendly staff
The meal was excellent . Very polite and helpful staff . Beautiful location .
Lovely village, pretty pub, mostly ok but really lacking in love and care. food ok but nothing special, no seasoning or real flavour. Had to go to bar to ask for wine list and order wine. Ignored after being given menus for some time. truthfully the cauliflower cheese should never have been served. Brown mush. had to ask for horseradish sauce with nice slices of roast beef. No sign of owners, guess it must be managed. travelled thirty miles to get here as reviews were good but would not return.
Lovely family lunch venue, excellent roast and perfect rural location.
Lovely pub, great meal went for a walk beforehand by the river Windrush. Dog friendly so able to take our dog in the restaurant area, even had Doggy biscuits at the bar. Nice specialty gins, cosy fire meal really good although a little pricey, well recommended
We loved our delicious dinner - very well cooked and presented, especially the hake. We’ll be back...!
Had a very nice evening. Lovely place, good food, good service and a decent spacing between the tables. Prices were reasonable. Overall excellent. We will be back.
Food was great , but it was very busy and the service was very very slow, had to keep asking for drinks , place an order and food.
The Maytime is set in a lovely village and is a very pleasant place to spend time. The building and garden are very well maintained and there is an air of quality about the whole place.
We had a traditional Sunday lunch which was very nice if a little expensive and eating in the garden was very pleasant. (There is an outside bar too).
Very enjoyable evening. Staff friendly and attentive. Good food.
We had Sunday lunch with friends at The Maytime, the food was delicious and the whole visit was great. Good food, a fair price in lovely surroundings. Keep up the good work. Cheers
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Maytime Inn, celebrating Mothering Sunday, where the atmosphere was warm and friendly. Our food was served in good time by their helpful staff, it was well cooked and tasted really nice, all at a fair price.
Great Service. Lovely atmosphere. But very limited menu options for vegetarians and apparently none for vegans
Really lovely Mothers Day lunch at the Maytime. The staff were friendly and the roast beef was excellent. Its in a really pretty location and the garden is nicely kept. Perfect for an afternoon drink in the sunshine. Highly recommended!
Only tiny issue was that it got really warm during the lunch rush, and we couldnt seem to open the windows.
Delicious food in a wonderful village pub. Would recommend highly to anyone!
Took the family for Sunday lunch and it did not disappoint. Service was great and the food was excellent. My son was so impressed he reckoned it was the best Sunday roast he’d had (apart from his mum’s of course!)
The gin selection is a bonus too.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience that we will definitely repeat
Our first experience at Maytime was very pleasant. The pink gin as recommended was very refreshing. Setting of the cafe was nice and cosy. Staff are attentive. We had Sunday roast, my hubby and I both had the pork loin and was tasty. We specially like the Rhubarb and Lemon pusse dessert. Will certainly revisit and recommend Maytime.
We very much enjoyed our family meal on Saturday night. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and all the food was tasty, well cooked and timely. Thank you very much.
We had a lovely meal just a shame they had run out of 2 of the desserts.
A pretty Cotswold inn in an attractive village. An unusually good Sunday lunch with for me a wine choice that could have been better. Perhaps it’s better to stay with beers and the large variety of gins. Must be a good summer choice with its large garden and views of the river. Very good. value overall.
Lovely pub and the food is great. The service was extremely slow though and there was really no excuse as it wasn't that busy. Unfortunately this often seems to be the case in these beautiful country pubs which is a real shame.
As much as we enjoyed the food the service overall was very poor. We had booked for a birthday treat but we're not made at all welcome on arrival. The waiting staff were friendly enough when they brought out the food but there was no other contact, we weren't even offered deserts etc., I also had to go to the bar to ask for the bill. It was not overly busy in the bar or restaurant!
Fabulous once again thank you for such great service.
A wonderful Friday lunch with friends in this gorgeous pub. Although unusually quiet the atmosphere was still lovely and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great variety on the menu to suit all of us. Looking forward to a return visit.
