The Verandah Restaurant @ Atholl Palace Hotel
The Meeting Place is an award winning bistro serving hungry travellers classic but modern cuisine. Based on the seasons along with the best offerings from the surrounding Perthshire farms. Plant based salads, local fish, homemade pizzas, daily specials, burgers. All made from scratch in our kitchen.
We have real ales on hand-pump. You can expect a wide variety of ales changing daily from local and independant breweries. We also have a great selection of wines, gins and whisky. And then there is the mock-tails we like to create for the drivers among us.
Dog friendly, wood burning stove and terrace on the Tay.
Went here for a Sunday pub lunch, food was fantastic, I had the beetroot burger which was superb. Comfortable location too so all good :)
Was quite disappointed with service ,staff seemed to be elsewhere when you were looking for them .was disappointed with food and was supposed to be given one of our meals for half price on this particular night and was charged full price.
Brilliant evening at The Meeting Place - dog friendly and chilled atmosphere for a meal. Staff can't do any more to help. I had booked online and said that we would be taking the dog along - the restaurant phoned within 15 minutes to let us know that dogs were definitely welcome.
Food is delicious, and the best bowl of olives I've had in a long time!
Great place to eat, staff very friendly and made our dog most welcome with biscuits and water !!
Menu very good could see it had something for everyone. The volume and quality of food was excellent , all fresh and homemade with nothing too much trouble , the waitress was very honest if she felt one portion between two would suffice!
We were on holiday, looking for somewhere for a nice lunch that would allow dogs. The Meeting Place was perfect as they welcomed us, gave bowls of water to the dogs and the food was excellent. I would certainly recommend it to any of my dog owning friends.
We went for a pre-Christmas family meal. The location was ideal, the menu was perfect for what we were looking for and my daughter loved the cooked to order pizza. The food was very good and a couple of us had the burgers which were excellent with good quality beef. These were also cooked to order and were very tasty. The service was very friendly and welcoming and this is definitely a location we look forward to returning to.
I was a bit disappointed to be honest, looks better on line than in reality. Food was quite nite and service pretty good too, but didn't have a restaurant feel at all, more like a pub with food. Decor was very welcoming either. And my glass had someone else's lipstick on it which was a bit minging :-( Wasn't offered any gratitude for the mishap either!!
The meal was good (however my chips were a little cold)!!! This was down to some mix-up in the kitchen..... There were no windows which was a little odd and it was cool to say the least....
excellent food and wine , service very good .
lots of options on menu
spacious dining room with a friendly ambience
We booked a table for 9 people including 1 highchair at 6pm. We were the only table in. We ordered the childrens meals straight away, but our starters did not arrive until we had been in the restaurant for 1 hour and 20 minutes. After 1 hour we were told by the waitress that the printer had broken in the kitchen. At this point I ordered ice creams for the children as we had been waiting so long. They took 25 minutes to arrive.
Our main courses arrived at 8.15pm, 2 hours and 15 minutes after entering your restaurant. Two meals were wrong and mine, slow roasted pork belly was absolutely tiny. We were also not informed to order extra vegetables, so we were all very disappointed.
