The 4 course experience was awesome, and our waitress, Caitlyn, made it even better by being patient, kind and helpful.

Melting Pot always puts my daughter and I in this minuscule corner booth for two where one person has to scoot around the length of the booth. We are fairly regular patrons and it is getting old. I pay as much as the other customers. Also, service was unusually slow. On two occasions, I stopped other waiters to ask for our server to come to our table. The wrong food was delivered as well. Portion sizes are also diminishing. I had 4 small cubes of steak with my entree. The fondue pot never got warm to heat up our chocolate fondue so I just went under the table and turned up the pot myself. The booth really made me upset the most.

Our server and his trainee gave us quality service, very friendly and considerate of our needs! I forgot their name cause my memory sucks but he had a Zelda heart container on his right forearm, but he had excellent customer service and appreciated making our anniversary a special one!

We go here often and always have great service. Tonight our server was wonderful... When she came around. It took 25 minutes for her to bring us our drink and about another 20 or so between ordering and receiving what we ordered. Not sure if she was busy with a lot of other tables but it took us over 2 and a half hours to eat. Which was mostly waiting for us to even see our server.

Our group had a great time as always. Jose was an engaging waiter- he made great suggestions and brought us everything in a timely manner. We tried the grill for the first time and loved the grilled asparagus and zucchini. We were able to try grilled steak, shrimp and chicken Everyone picked their favorite entree. The cheddar cheese fondue is our favorite and Jose even brought some extra bread to get the last bite from the pot. We usually get the S’mores chocolate and it was terrific as always.

As always, a trip to The Melting Pot is always a treat. My favorite is the Cheese Fondue, but the salads, main courses, and chocolate portions are always delicious. The service at this location is superb, and the ambiance is cozy (if maybe a little dark). We always enjoy The Melting Pot, and often visit for birthdays and special occasions/accomplishments.

I felt the service was great however the food was subpar. We were celebrating an anniversary and do not get to go out much so we were really looking forward to this date night. Unfortunately, our entrees were not very good at all. When a manager came by our table to check on us, I let him know that our food was not all that great and there was not much of a reaction so I kept quiet. I wish we would have had a better experience because I was hoping it would be our "go to" place for special occasions:(

I previously enjoyed Melting Pot, but my experience this time was poor. The hostesses were indifferent and inattentive. The booth wasn’t as private as I had at their previous location. The power to our cooktop was flaky, requiring us all to exit the booth at one point so our waiter could fiddle with the power cord. The mocktails they brought for the kids weren’t fun, coming without any fruit or umbrellas or the like . The waiter had a cold and plowed through his comments while coughing and sniffing over our table. He was also more intrusive than I would prefer. Finally, the food itself wasn’t as tasty as I’ve had in the past. Melting Pot has always been such a fun and intimate experience, worth the premium price. This visit really soured me on the place.

Hi Richard, So sorry to hear that your experience was lackluster compared to before. I just wanted to reach out to you to thank you for your feedback as well as to assure you that we've taken an extensive look at all of our cook tops to ensure such a problem does not arise again. We did some investigating and intend to counsel your server on his conduct as we have with our hospitality specialists. We do hope to have you back in the future to give us another try. Best, Erin Shelton Manager

Great experience at the Melting Pot. Food was excellent, service was great. Kids ages 11 and 14 loved it. Fun family dinner option where you have plenty of time to talk -- spent 2+ hours for 3 courses. Dinner was a little pricey but worth the experience. Reston location had half price bottles of wine on Wed night which was nice. Kids shared an entree and each had a full cheese and dessert course - was more than enough for them. Favorites were spinach artichoke cheese dip, filet minion, potstickers, and milk chocolate dessert pot. We didn't upgrade the dessert dippers and still had more than enough. Looking forward to another visit in the future.

We had dinner at your restaurant on Saturday 6/8 with our daughter and four of her friends to celebrate her birthday. We had requested the birthday package with balloons for the table and a photo. When we arrived at the table, the balloons weren't there - the hostess went back to get them. The picture wasn't available, either - our waiter (Zach) asked us to provide our email address so it could be sent to us, but we still haven't received it.

The food was good as always, but there were very long delays between courses which we've never experienced at any Melting Pot. Can't blame Zach (who was very friendly) because it may not have been his fault. We all ordered the four-course meal but our daughter and friends (at a different table than ours) were confused. Only two ordered the salad, and at least some of them thought we had to pay extra for that so didn't order one. Of course, these were part of the four-course package price, so we ended up paying for them.

Our favorite course is the cheese fondue so we were very disappointed to receive such a small serving of bread - we had to ask for more since there was still half a pot of cheese left - but it took a while to get it. When we made the reservation, we were told that we could ask that certain menu items be made unavailable to the girls to keep the price down - so we said "no lobster". Yet two of the girls ordered the lobster, so I guess the message didn't get to Zach. That drove the price up a bit.

We are hoping this was just an anomaly and next time things will be better. We would be reluctant to schedule another birthday or any big event at Melting Pot given this somewhat disappointing experience. $380 is a lot to spend on a dinner that had this many problems.

Sadly, this was the WORST experience we had at the Melting Pot. We frequent the Reston Melting Pot for celebratory dinners, however, the service was horrible on this particular occasion. I would have normally spoken to the manager when having such a poor experience, however, we were with some friends and did not want to make a scene. We sat without drink refills for a long time, even after asking for them. We sat in front of dirty dinner dishes while our server tended to the tables around us. The manager seeing that we sat came and took one of the cooking pots, but the other one sat boiling away, until finally the manager noticed we were STILL sitting in front of it, and took it. The server was not very friendly or attentive, very different from other experiences here. For the ridiculous amount of money that we dropped with 7 people, we should have had some better service, for sure.

We went here for our Anniversary and we were pleasantly greeted and taken to our table. This was our first time at this location and they were so friendly, the food was good, and when I accidentally left without my AMEX, the manager called and let me know before we even got to the parking lot. Of course, since I didn’t recognize his number, I let the call go to voicemail. I noticed when we got home that I had a voice mail. So back to the restaurant I went. The complimentary champagne and the beautifully decorated plate wishing us a happy anniversary was an excellent end to the evening.

I like to bring the family to this place for special occasions such as birthdays, when my son wins a soccer tournament, etc. The thing that always trips us up is the ordering process because it's so dark in this place that I can't read the menu and when you have kids at the it's hard to spend time reading. Overall, though, we love coming here and the kids are always begging us to come back.

We had a wonderful time at the "Enchanted Afternoon" event at the Melting Pot. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and accommodating. Our server, LaTifah, was exceptional! She went out of her way to make sure my family had a wonderful experience. She was great with my kids and even brought out special items for them to eat with the fondue and was cautious regarding my daughter's food allergies.

My husband is handicapped so a booth does not work for him. We were put in a dark corner of the bar where he had great difficulty getting in and out of the chair. This restaurant needs to become more adaptive for the handicapped. The waiter was very attentive, however he recommended we try the grill, it was his favorite. The grill is too small for 4 people. The flavor of the food cooked on the grill was very good, but it took a very long time to cook for 4 people on such a small area. We ended up changing over to the fondue. The food was very good.
