Waiter even brought us a piece of pound cake with two candles, one for each of us.
Waiter was very helpful and engaging. Enjoyed the experience!
Food was great, service was a little slow but we weren't in a rush so it worked out. I miss the mushroom salad!
Loved our waitress, they were very helpful and very kind. Answered all our questions and offered solutions. Asked us if we were celebrating anything and we replied our anniversary and she came out with a nice plate with “happy anniversary” written on it with chocolate with some chocolate covered strawberries to go. over all great experience with great food.
This was the perfect place for a fun girls night out to celebrate. This time, we skipped the entree and only ate the cheese and chocolate fondues and added the charcuterie board. The staff was great and asked if we were celebrating anything. Then she brought out a plate for my daughter that said "Have fun in High School". It was a perfect touch and she loved it.
Food was good however our server was not very attentive and we had to wait several times for her to return to our table.
Came to celebrate wedding anniversary.
Slowest, worst service ever! Reservations were at 830...seated at 840ish....no server until 915...had to ASK for a manager to get drinks. Server never explained the menu or how kids menu worked. Got SOME food by 10...dirty plates piled up on table...never asked if we needed refills. By10pm ...still no main course so I asked for our check. Magically our food comes out...DIRTY plates STILL ON OUR TABLE. Food was mediocre at best. Had to ask the server for refills on drinks. Long story short....we left at 11pm. Terrible service. Never going back.
UPDATE: The General Manager (Cory) called as a follow up and was very pleasant and apologetic for the experience. This was extremely professional and a breath of fresh air to know that poor experiences are taken seriously. Thank you for trying to rectify the situation! That was a class act!
We go to the melting pot usually one to twice a month but might be avoiding Reston for a while. The staff was way over worked and thus did not have the time to attend to tables. Our bullion was almost gone before they arrived with the meat. We had to add drinking water back into the pot to have anything useful to cook with. I found a hard bone or plastic piece in my steak and was told “oh it was just a tendon” if you steak is of such poor quality I can cut my cheek on it there are issues. They have cut way back on potions especially desert. 2 brownies 2 marshmallows no bananas 3 rice crispy squares 2 small pieces of pound cake and what amounted to maybe 2 anemic strawberries that were inedible this was for a party of 2. At the end of the meal the server was nice enough to select the highest tip for us and while I did change it and tip 20% I think it is a bit shady.
We hit Melting Pot 1-2 times a year and it’s always good. Nice to get out and have a quiet evening of good food. The yin/yang chocolate for dessert is always a must.
We always enjoy celebrating our special occasions at The Melting Pot. The food is great, the ambiance nice, and the service is always amazing.
Amazing service and good food.
We really enjoyed our Sunday brunch.
The food was very delicious. Our waiter Laura was very friendly and fast. We enjoyed our stay :)
We had a great meal with our family of five. Our server went out of his way to accommodate all of our special requests. It was a night to remember!
Overall enjoyable experience and our family of five had a fun night together. Food was fresh and good, service was attentive and knowledgeable and have zero complaints on quality of food or professionalism of our very nice server. However, we were a bit disappointed that other than our server acknowledging our son’s birthday, no other special attention from the restaurant was made. I had noted in our reservation that it was his 16th birthday, so we were disappointed that nothing was done to make him feel special. We/he could hear other people being celebrated and kept thinking his turn would come, but nothing. We felt like the ball was dropped on a milestone moment for us.
Great food and service!
Service was great!
Great as always. Only knock to this location is that no matter where you park, there's a little walk to get to the restaurant. Not a huge deal to us, but could be to some.
It was a wonderful family dinner! The service & food were perfect.
My 40th was amazing, thank you so much l!
Sweet 16 Birthday
It's a restaurant for people who like fondue, the service was very good.
We go to several different Melting Pots during the year-at least 3 or 4 times a year for birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. Now we have a 1.5 year old in tow and she loves Melting Pot just as much as we do! The staff here was great about speeding up just enough at our request to keep everyone happy. Food was great and the server was very nice. If we’re in the area again, we will definitely be coming back.
Always a great time. Love getting the bigger night out, as it’s the perfect amount of food.
Our server, Latifa was spectacular.
I went for my birthday and I love the experience. Food was amazing and service was Impeccable!!
My daughter’s all-time favorite place to celebrate her birthday. Service is always AMAZING! The fondue is always perfect. The Melting Pot never, ever disappoints!!
It was fun and very good food. Doing the ala carte menu was easy for our party of four and sharing was good
I was yet again astounded by the service at the Melting Pot - Reston. Due to other plans for my birthday celebration falling though, I decided to make a reservation with The Melting Pot, as I previously went for a nice dinner with my girlfriend a couple months back, and was thoroughly impressed by the food, service, and experience. This time was no different, as I coincidentally had the same server the first time I went, named Cameron. Considering COVID regulations being different from the first time I went to recently, I was able to have a larger party. Despite the larger party size, fluctuation of people coming and going to wish me a happy birthday, and the many different guests within my group having many different questions about the menu, etc., Cameron was able to handle everything with grace and poise. He had an answer to every question, was attentive to our table, and never skipped a beat. He truly was a pleasure to be around, and I enjoyed both of my experiences at The Melting Pot because of his wonderful service and great sense of humor. Thank you Cameron and The Melting Pot - Reston for an extraordinary birthday! :)
Went for a quick dinner with my BFF. We both could not have asked for anything better. The food and the atmosphere was perfect. The server was humble and excellent.
Father’s Day was special because of the melting pot staff
Not a bad experience, service was very good,
The Melting Pot is a really fun place to go for a special occasion dinner. It's not cheap, but the food is good, and the concept is fun. We received excellent service.
We had a wonderful time celebrating end of school year for two kids who are moving on to new adventures. We were fortunate to get a two burner table and the kids had a great time choosing a variety of cheeses, cooking styles and of course, the chocolates. Cameron did an amazing job with the cheeses we chose. The kids could not decide which cheese was better. We’ve had our share of fondue at the Melting Pot but he prepared them better than we’ve ever tasted. He was attentive and fun. He recommended the bananas foster for dessert and it did not disappoint. My only regret is that we ignored the other chocolate we chose for dessert. It was a fantastic evening filled with laughter and delicious food. Best of all, the kids had an amazing experience and could not stop raving about it the day after.
Very enjoyable meal. Hailey was a very good server. Super flexible and accommodating.
We haven't been to the Melting Pot in quite a while due to the Pandemic. We were looking forward to a date night. Our reservation was at 8:15. One hour and forty five minutes before closing. This should be enough time, right? The evening started out fine. They've changed the menu a bit which was a bit confusing. Our server explained it to us and we ordered. After our drinks and salads arrived, the service dropped off quite a bit. We waited for over 30 minutes to get our drinks refreshed. We eventually got the drinks and cheese course. Our server was nowhere to be seen. After we got our main course, the server was once again MIA. She didn't check on us at all. We sat for a while before we were asked what we wanted for desert. By the time we got desert, the restaurant was nearly empty as it was about 9:50. The staff was cleaning and we were just getting desert. She put down the pot and set the flambé on fire and then walked away! We've been there over a dozen times and we always get the flaming turtle. I cannot recall another occasion when a server just leaves after lighting the fire. I put it out myself, we started eating and she was gone, again. We did manage to get her attention and asked for more dippers for the chocolate fondue. Eye rolls from the server-visibly annoyed that we were asking for anything. I asked for the bill, this was the only point in the meal when the server moved quickly. She brought the mobile credit card device to the table and stood over me as I filled out the tip. I was once a full time server. I know what it's like to make ends meet on tips. It took all I had to not give her what I believe she earned--which was next to nothing. I don't know what happened or what we did. But it was obvious that we were not welcome. I asked for to go boxes and they were quickly dropped of with a bit of an attitude. We got out of there and all we could talk about on the way home was the server. It might be a while before we have another date night there.
We love heading to Fondue on birthdays and other occasions - Melting Pot never disappoints! It's expensive, but the food is great and the service is always responsive.
Thought this would be a nice place for a date night and would be really romantic. It was pretty nice overall, the atmosphere was really nice, dark lighting with red lamps above tables, very quiet overall. Going into it I knew they did table side fondue and was excited for that. The fondue was delicious, cool to watch our server make it infront of us too. However, one thing I didn’t expect and didn’t really enjoy was cooking our own food. I had no idea it would be like that, I thought the fondue was the only table side thing cooked. You pick your entree and cook them in a broth at the table. You also had to refer to a chart to know how long to cook the food for. When I go out and pay $100 for dinner I do not want to cook my own food. I felt if I was going to cook my own food like that I could’ve just stayed at home. But then again I didn’t know this and had I known I most likely wouldn’t have gone. Giving this review for those interested in going and to help know what to expect. But overall with everything said and done, it was really good. The food tasted really good, and was nice to get out. The desert part was my favorite. We got the flaming turtle fondue and it was awesome!
