A fabulous lunch for get-together with friends and/or family.
Food was great! A bit pricey but worth it for the experience! Would definitely go back.
They said they could not figure
Out how to use opentable discount carb. So I just paid
I have been to The Melting Pot before but it had been a long time since my last visit. The food was just as delicious as I remembered it. We ordered the create your own four-course meal. We loved the cheese and chocolate fondues, as well as the salad and the entrees. It was a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The Love Martini is a favorite. I’ll definitely be back!
It’s a concept but not for everyone. It takes a lot of concentration and effort to make your own dinner. If you’re drinking wine things get lost in the pot and you forget timing and frankly I’m surprised more people don’t get sick from eating raw food as a result. Our waiter tried but he was very inexperienced and not that attentive. We did it mostly to show an out of town guest the concept of fondue. I think it’s expensive for what it is. The best part of the evening was Michael ,the magician, who was warm, funny and fascinating. Loved him
A little expensive and changes that happen from the last time i was there but overall the food was good
The Valentines Day experience was amazing. We frequent the Melting Pot, but they found a way to make the experience even better. There was a feee champagne toast, a gift bag, and even a Magician there going table to table performing tricks. Fantastic!
My boyfriend and I made reservations for Valentines day. We had such a wonderful time. The ambiance was wonderful, we were seated pretty quickly. The food was fantastic as was the service.
Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. He was also very knowledgeable about what was gluten free, which was great for me.
The Melting Pot in Westwood is always amazing. The service was impeccable and the food and sangria were delicious. It was the perfect place to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Bread was stale. Cheese tasted not right. Vegetables werent fresh and nearly frozen to point where even dipping them in near boiling cheese didnt warm them. Brownie was undercooked like cookies you make at home and don’t leave in long enough. Chicken was chewy. Despite being there well before any rush the service was slow as molasses. Twenty minutes minimum between finishing each course before waiter came by to get next course started.
Birthday dinner, quiet and private as the restaurant was not crowded. Just perfect!
The meal and service was fantastic. Our server was Keith and he was incredible. His service was beyond what we expected. It was my daughters birthday. I had mentioned it and without asking, when it was time for dessert, he made it special. The Melting Pot is lucky to have an employee like Keith.
The food was good, with the exception of the chicken which was covered in too much fennel, and I like fennel. The service leaves a lot to be desired. The place was pretty empty on a Sunday night, so the poor service is not understandable. It started poorly with the hostess. No one was at the desk when we arrived. The hostess was in the back, but saw us three (3) times. I had to ask a waiter to get her, and then she finally came to the front. The waitress was very sweet, but got a drink order wrong, never brought my husband his salad dressing, and was overall slow. We were tired, so we were not interested in a long leisurely dinner. After over two hours, we asked that our dessert be wrapped up so we good finally go home. I love fondue, but next time we'll do it at home.
We have visited this location before and had a poor experience. Decided to give it another chance....big mistake. We were a party of 9 - 5 adults 4 kids. It was Sunday night so it was not busy. The waiter was nice enough but the food took forever to come out. The children were having shrimp and ravioli. The broth came out but no food. We waited over 45 minutes for their ravioli to show up. 30 minutes for a second glass of wine. Had to complain to the manager to actually get the kids food. They comped it but the meal took almost 3 hours and the kids were so antsy we ended up leaving without waiting for desert!!!!
The great: Our waiter, Alexi, was wonderful. He was absolutely perfect.
The not-so-great: Since it was kids eat free day, it was extremely loud. Luckily, most of the screaming kids were in the middle of the restaurant. We thought about changing the date for our dinner, but it was a birthday dinner and work days off made thus date the best. I think in the future, it will probably be either a week earlier or later.
Overall, The Melting Pot - Westwood NEVER disappoints. Other Melting Pots are much closer, but we’ve always been extremely happy with the service at this location. A 45 min ride for much better service and more overall comfort makes it well worth it. We will be back again soon!
Nice place for a family birthday celebration. It’s something unique and the experience engages everyone. The service was fine, the atmosphere was good, but I would say it’s a little more expensive than it should be.
It’s very different than other restaurants making for a good time. Very expensive for what you get.
The ambiance was very quiet and intimate, perfect for first dates. It was a little pricey in my opinion for the taste of the food, but I guess it was a fun fondue experience!
Melting Pot is an amazing place for a romantic night out with an incredible 4 course menu. Had a terrific date night and will make sure to visit the Melting Pot again soon!
I took my daughter and her five friends for dessert for her birthday. I found we were less paid attention to because we weren't high end spenders - just dessert. It wasn't bad, just not what I'm used to when going there for dinner. They did bring her out a pretty birthday dish and sang, so that was good right there.
The experience was incredible here. I love coming here and having all the course. The food was very good and our waiter was very, very nice. Since it was NYE it was very busy so it took so long for our food to come out. The whole experience took three hours. After two we were at our max of sitting there. Plus they gave out horns for NYE, which is a nice gesture but kids were blowing them all night and it was annoying and kinda ruins your meal. And with the fixed NYE meal you get a champagne toast and we didn’t ever receive that. We also had a situation at the bar. The bar tender seemed very upset about how busy she was and definitely let everyone know it. Thankfully our waiter made up for her rudeness. Overall it was a nice evening. I’d go back but I don’t think I’d go for NYE again.
Very great first experience!
Max was amazing. Best server and the food was amazing, even for vegetarians. Made our four year anniversary so special. We will be back again soon
Dining experience was great. Karina provides us with excellent service and food was amazing as always.
The food and service were excellent! We can't wait to go back!
Food was delicious as usual.
Had a nice time and the wait staff was attentive.
John our server was wonderful as always. We always go to this particular Melting Pot because he's there. Food was great!
Haven't been there in about 10 years, it's still as good as it was then. We decided to do the cast iron grille for the main part of our meal and that worked well, but the non-stick spray wore off, that should be given at the table so you can re-spray it. Other than that, the entire meal was amazing, it's such a nice change of pace!
This is a fun restaurant for special occasions. It’s a bit overpriced and under staffed, but overall, a good time!
We had a 7:15 PM reservation but was not seated until 7:35 PM. We were provided diluted dishwater in a glass at 7:40 PM as tap water. My menu had dried cheese fondue on it. The waiter came to our table at 7:50 PM and took our drink order and thanked us for our patience. At 8:05 PM as we gave up on being treated like a valued customer and proceeded to leave our table, our drinks arrived. We told the waiter we were not staying and promptly walked out of The Melting Pot. While we were sitting at our table, both managers on duty walked past our table and ignored us including the one that seated us. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone except those I truly despise.
We had cheese fondue which was the highlight of the meal. Then we waited over 30 min for our main fondue as our server was nowhere to be found. The meat was ok, the dessert fondue was lackluster. We did not finish it. The chocolate was bland. The drink Love Martini was amazing!
The service was sub par this visit. While our waiter was very friendly, it felt like he was trying to up-sell items. We only ordered the cheese/salad/chocolate that was part of the Ladies' Night menu, but he assumed we were ordering an entree as well. I've never had a waiter ask if we wanted a pitcher of sangria with our dessert. It was an odd time to ask. He also forgot to give us plates when serving us the cheese fondue.
It also took way too long to receive our check. Granted, I did have to send it back since my drink was priced incorrectly, but the wait to get the check back was unacceptable. The restaurant wasn't very busy and it seemed like our waiter only had one other table to tend to (the one across from us).
He did explain to us that he was new, and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Although, it does worry me that the few times I've been there this year, I've had a new waiter each time.
This will not deter me from returning, but I'm hoping for better training for the wait staff.
My friend and I go to the Melting Pot a few times a year and this most recent visit was nice, the food was delicious, and the server was nice, but we didn't get the normal super friendly service we have had in the past. He did nothing wrong, but I didn't feel he was making any extra effort which we have experienced every time we have been there in the past. I had noted on our reservation it was my friends birthday and nothing was done-not even just saying "Happy Birthday" to recognize we were there to celebrate something.
Romanic setting in a booth. We always have a great anniversary diner here. Highly recommend.
Wonderful food with wonderful service!
Always a great place to go back to and great service
This place is expensive, especially considering how bad it was AND that we had to cook the food ourselves. I honestly don't know how this place has stayed open as long as it has. The wine was terrible too.
We came here for a birthday dinner. Great service and excellent food, as usual!
