The Melting Pot - White Plains
Have been multiple times and never had a problem with service until Sunday night. Just upset about the amount of money spent when the overall experience was not great. Bartender was super nice though!
I have been to the Melting Pot several times and normally enjoy it tremendously. This was not one of the best visits. We had a table for 6 but only 2 pots which limited our options as we were three couples. The food we chose was excellent. The service needed work. The waiter did not explain the menu or process well, got our checks wrong (we asked in advance for three separate checks) and actually charged one of the party for dessert which was not eaten because he had split the dessert into 6 portions.
Delicious food, great server, great time. Would def go again
Birthday with balloons
Steven our waiter was great and handled 4 kids for a birthday dinner with some adults! Everyone was happy. Thank you Steven for making it even better!
We’ve enjoyed Melting Pot for years. The cheese fondue was terrific as always. Most of our entree items were wonderful- the duck is always superb!- but the filet mignon was disappointing this time, which was really a shame because we ordered a lot of it. Usually the filet and the duck are equally tender and amazing. But this time the filet was tough and chewy. Makes me want to order small portions next time to check the quality and order more only if we are satisfied. The waiter was faster to serve us and check in on us than most of our past waiters
We were a party of 6, which included my young niece and nephew. It was their first time and we each ordered the 3 course lunch special (good value at $29). We were seated in a private room and had wonderful service and a great time.
To expensive for what you get. Ok fondue and service but is it really authentic???? Difficult menu to get what you want.
Restaurant is located in the basement, so there is no windows, food is ok, steak is good but chicken and pork not very good, low quality.
Cheese and chocolate fondue is fun to eat and tasty.
My 9yr old likes to cook on the grill, that’s why we usually go.
My fondue experience consisted of a salad/cheese portion. The salad was really good and the dressing wasn't too overwhelming and was just enough. The only down side to my meal at the Melting Pot this go round was the amount of fruit flies that were around our table. I would have probably stayed and had another drink or pot of cheese if I weren't fighting off fruit flies in our seating area.
Our preparer, (I think his name was BJ) prepared our cheese perfectly. He was engaging and attentive. He brought us another bowl of breads and was quick in his return. He checked on us a couple of times and was pleasant.
Food and service was amazin with reasonable price for 4 course experience
Food is always perfect, only restaurant we are willing to take a road-trip for. The Melting Pot near us closed, and this is the closest one now. Its a 2 and a half hour drive that is always worth it.
It was my birthday and the staff made sure that I had an awesome time! The owner came over and wished me a happy birthday also. The food was great and our waiter was great too. Would definitely recommend and go back.
Food was wonderful! Their gluten free options were amazing and delicious! A small error in our order was corrected quickly and pleasantly. The chef at our table was delightful. The manager even checked in on us.
We had to wait for the last course which was chocolate about a half an hour.
Also we asked for the bag to take leftovers with us but the waiter took the food, said he would put it in the bag but never brought it back. We left without it. Otherwise, the experience was very nice.
YUMMY!!!! the food was amazing and the chocolate fondue is to die for!!!!!!
I enjoyed everything but the food. The portions are very small for the price. I think the food offered is not my particular taste. I would not come back for those particular reasons. However, the server was very attentive and kind and the ambiance was very romantic.
Always enjoy the cheese & chocolate fondue. The service was great, very attentive..Raul was our server. The manager stopped by as well to check in.
In the start of the night it was going well, but by the end after we finished the dinner meal we WAITED 45 MINUTES for dessert we ended up being at this restaurant for THREE HOURS, THREE and you have to pay for parking there. When the waiter finally came back to bring dessert all he said was that he apologized for the delay he got held up at another table DELAY IT WAS 45 MINUTES. We were not discounted at all, most likely because we are a younger couple and most people think they can get away with bad service with younger crowds. He had us pay full price for the overpriced meal as it is. It was my boyfriend’s first time going and we will definitely NOT be going back to this one.
The cooking plate was not wide enough so it took a long time to cook the meal.
Not worth the money frankly. And you leave feeling like you worked at home without washing the dishes.
Everything was perfect and the waiver was on top of everything giving us amazing customer service.
A wonderful evening with excellent service. I would definitely go back again!
It's an experience- worth doing- savor the food- however it is a bit expensive.
Hugely disappointing. Go for cheese and chocolate fondue only. Meat and fish were not high quality. Asked 3 waiters for a fork. Worst of all served ravioli to a vegetarian and then said there was meat inside - my child was so upset that and when the new waiter indicated there was no actually no meat it was too late. No apologies, no offer to remove meal that was left uneaten from the bill and they didn’t have anything for a vegetarian other than tofu (for a child!?).
I don't feel you get your money's worth for the amount of food you get.
The food was awful! I was promised plain ravioli for my very picky 10 year old..it was sun dried tomato with chicken and beef in it! The manager was lovely and ran to get Mac n cheese for him...the bill was over $400...never, ever again
The staff , especially the manager was very kind and helpful!!
Waiter was excellent . food amazing . best time ever.
Made a reservation and several other tables were seated before us
The food was good but the service was so incredibly subpar. The server was excruciatingly slow, dropped things on the floor, and never came to check on us.
Good time, food was excellent, waitress was wonderful, just the time between courses was longer than expected. Dinner should not have been two plus hours on a Tuesday night, especially with two kids at the table.
This place is a jem. Everything was amazing. Service was so outstanding.
Service was great!, cheese and dessert were good. Entree classic chicken and shrimp not good at all. Steak lovers was good.
First Time there. I greatly appréciâted the low noise level. The cheese fondue was good, but did not have all the Classic features. I missed rubbing the empty pot with garlic, 3 types of cheese in the one fondue and a hint of kirsch alcohol.
Teriyaki meat should have been cut into finer, think pièces.
Worst place I've eaten in years. First, it's way over priced, which I would almost overlook if it wasn't for the rest of my experience. It took over an hour to get our main course and it only came then because we ended up complaining to the manager. What makes that really perplexing is that they didn't even have to cook the food. So we finally got our grossly over-seasoned meat and a small handful of vegetables. Then cooked it ourselves on a grill pan that couldn't get hot enough and some boiling salt water. So, after waiting an hour, it took at least 30 min to cook. Then my daughter starts eating and asks what type of meat she was chewing. I tried a piece and still have no clue. I told her it was just meat and to go with it. It's now the next day and I still can't get the awful taste out of my mouth. I also burned my mouth since I was so hungry by the time the vegetables cooked that I just ate them straight out of their boiling toilet water. I'll share the blame on that one but do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
My good friend and I had cheese, salad and chocolate. Everything was delicious and great service!
Great place for dessert for ny chocolate loving 14yo birthday with her friends!!!
Ordering confusing and pricey ($320) for 5 people before tip; only 2 adults. 3 hours for dinner start to finish is a long time. There was a very long wait between salad and meat. Waiter nice but smelled alcohol on his breath. One more fork per person would be nice.
the food is great but the service is not. Specially the host at the front door who checked us in.
