   Hmm... Been coming here many times over the years. Will be back - but not for Sunday brunch. Food sadly a bit hit and miss, and we're not convinced by the concept. Despite the restaurant being really quiet, service was a bit... awkward. Definitely a regular a la carte lunch next time (not available on a Sunday though)

   Came with my mum for the Easter Sunday Brunch. The food was high quality, however it was not as good as the Mothers' Day brunch from 2019, which primed my expectation. There was a decent selection of tasty starters, with prawns, mussels, oysters, gravad lax, charcuterie and salads. We had the roast beef for the main course which was lovely. Probably the lamb and the cold poached salmon would have been nice too, but there were only these three mains! There was a nice selection of three bite-sized desserts, a chocolate fountain with fruit and marshmallows, and a cheese board. For drinks you could go for either bottomless soft drinks, or bottomless champagne, which we chose. The price was the main problem. £90pp for the food, £40pp for the champagne, plus service... came to nearly £300 for the two of us! Good though the food was, this just wasn't worth it - I'd have been content to pay £200 but not £300. You could tell the rest of London felt the same way, as there were only five tables occupied! There was a jazz trio, they weren't great but were unobtrusive and added a pleasant vibe. If they could have had just a couple more choices in all three courses (but *definitely* the mains), and charged say £70pp for the food and £30pp for champagne, it would have been a winner and they'd have been full. As it is I probably won't come again for any special occasion brunches. A pity, as the 2019 Mothers' Day was so memorable.

   The Montagu continues to be an oasis of calm and spacious comfort in the centre of Maryebone, very conveniently situated on the edge of Portman Square. Beautifully appointed, and fairly recently redecorated, in muted tones with large tables and vey comfortable chairs. Quiet, relaxing ambience with unobtrusive background music. Very professional and attentive staff. Always on hand to see to client's needs. An imaginative menu with a range of smaller dishes to mix and match. Beautifully cooked and presented food and an equally good wine list. Quite expensive but value for money in terms of the quality of food, service and surroundings.

   The food was outstanding and the dishes were very well balanced with careful attention to details. The new menu of the head chef Gianluca Augello was simply fantastic and the tasting menu is strongly recommended. The service was very good and the ambience comfortable. Very good value for money.

   The restaurant is both welcoming and sophisticated, the food was delightful and our waitress was very friendly and attentive; she made us feel extra special by bringing out a celebratory cake and then walked us through to the Churchill bar after our meal and very kindly presented us to an awaiting waiter in front of the whole room which certainly made us feel somewhat important! Thank you :-)

   We have eaten here a number of times before and used to good food and service. But the menu has changed and become avantgarde and just too much when you just want a good dinner. You are advised to order 2 or 3 starters mouthfuls and 3 main courses. Who wants to do that much thinking!? Might be good for a special meal but we won’t be back as just too difficult to navigate.

    I had the most great experience. My sister was visiting me in London, and I wanted to take her to a nice place yet somewhere with nice British food. So we went to The Montagu Kitchen. The food was so delicious, meat was so well cooked, the scallops were made in perfection as well as scotch egg... Everything was very tasty. The service was great. Joao was very attentive and looked after us very well.. I highly recommend the place and definitely will be back soon.

    Amazing customer services, very attentive and great atmosphere. Food is very good. We were there for our 5 years wedding anniversary and the staff were so lovely and accommodate with our dietary requirement. Highly recommend! It’s vegan/vegetarian friendly :)

    We went for lunch and opted for the set menu. The food was superb, the wine good and service excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant and the set meal was great value for money. We will definitely go again.

    Although the staff were pleasant and attentive the menu left a lot to be desired. Total confusion as to what was being offered and when it did arrive it did not appear to bear any relationship to what our party thought they were getting. As far as the prices were concerned, certainly not value for money. Sorry, but would not return.

    Sadly we arrived and the lunch menu you had booked us for had finished. After an awkward 5 minutes of us feeling like we had done something wrong, we were sat at a table and they started the kitchen back up to accommodate the set lunch menu. Food was lovely, as was the setting. We were asked if we’d like to see the dessert menu, but it was never bought to us. Thankfully we were full from our first 2 courses, so it wasn’t a problem to us.

    Lovely open space, great service but disappointing food. The dishes were nicely presented but the portions were small. The main course was the most disappointing. Chicken wasn’t cooked well and the souse was to salty for my liking. The corn was very tasty, but difficult to eat. Salad looked interesting and the desert was quite nice. I wonder if we would enjoy the food more if we have chosen different option.

    Nice upmarket restaurant and service was quite good. However……. Asked for a table with a view and got sat by a mirror. Ordered the bone in Rib-eye that was meant to take 40 minutes to prepare. It took much longer. .

    We particularly wanted a Kir to drink but the bottle of cassis was at the bar 10 mtrs away and could not be served in the restaurant. Not the best start. Next the menus were presented and immediately introduced by the restaurant manageress. This was not a relaxing experience. She was very forthright and kept telling us how small all the dishes were and how we were going to be hungry. It was completely the wrong tone and felt absurd. She then asked if we wanted 2 glasses of champagne at £22 a glass. We have never experienced such a misguided introduction. We knew other people dining and have since discovered they felt exactly the same. We orders the tasting menu and it was sublime. Excellent value for money and we had the rosemary bread as an extra. I can’t praise the food enough or the other serving staff. Simply fantastic. Fix this one issue and grab the cassis and perfect

    There are many fine dining options in London, but I came back to the Montagu Kitchen at Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill for the second time within a week to host a visiting friend. Taking care of our table, Anisa was very professional. All dishes were beautifully decorated and absolutely delicious, confirming the consistency of food quality. If you often stay for months at a hotel or dine at a hotel’s restaurants several times per week, you will soon get bored with having the same food over time. Hence, you certainly notice that the Executive Chef at the Montagu Kitchen well understands customer perception by offering multiple lunch menus throughout the week, allowing frequent customers to enjoy the familiar 5-star ambiance of a Hyatt hotel while stimulating their appetite with food excitement. Whilst seeing many hotels’ restaurants rarely changing their menus due to conservative views or complex operations, perhaps? I guess, by thinking out of the box with this clever strategy, the Montagu Kitchen could attract and retain many gastronomy lovers.

    Absolutely amazing experience at The Montagu Kitchen! From the welcome to the very last bite. Staff was very knowledgable and explained detailed their new concept of the menu!Must say it’s phenomenal! Every dish is a masterpiece! Many options for different taste!
