Sadly we arrived and the lunch menu you had booked us for had finished.
After an awkward 5 minutes of us feeling like we had done something wrong, we were sat at a table and they started the kitchen back up to accommodate the set lunch menu.
Food was lovely, as was the setting.
We were asked if we’d like to see the dessert menu, but it was never bought to us. Thankfully we were full from our first 2 courses, so it wasn’t a problem to us.
Lovely open space, great service but disappointing food. The dishes were nicely presented but the portions were small. The main course was the most disappointing. Chicken wasn’t cooked well and the souse was to salty for my liking. The corn was very tasty, but difficult to eat. Salad looked interesting and the desert was quite nice. I wonder if we would enjoy the food more if we have chosen different option.
Loved the new menu and our server was amazing. Very knowledgeable and personable. Fantastic Service. We will be back !!

Asked for a table with a view and got sat by a mirror.
Ordered the bone in Rib-eye that was meant to take 40 minutes to prepare. It took much longer.
I went for my Birthday. The service was fantastic and the food was extremely tasty. Was extremely impressed. The price was fair but not good value for money.
Staff were so wonderfully welcoming, attentive and made us feel so special on our birthdays. This is the 2nd time we've visited and so excited to go back!
Great ambiance, good food, great service, very good experience overall
We particularly wanted a Kir to drink but the bottle of cassis was at the bar 10 mtrs away and could not be served in the restaurant. Not the best start. Next the menus were presented and immediately introduced by the restaurant manageress. This was not a relaxing experience. She was very forthright and kept telling us how small all the dishes were and how we were going to be hungry. It was completely the wrong tone and felt absurd. She then asked if we wanted 2 glasses of champagne at £22 a glass. We have never experienced such a misguided introduction. We knew other people dining and have since discovered they felt exactly the same. We orders the tasting menu and it was sublime. Excellent value for money and we had the rosemary bread as an extra. I can’t praise the food enough or the other serving staff. Simply fantastic. Fix this one issue and grab the cassis and perfect
Over complicated menu. If you have to explain what the dishes comprise for your customers you have missed the point
There are many fine dining options in London, but I came back to the Montagu Kitchen at Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill for the second time within a week to host a visiting friend. Taking care of our table, Anisa was very professional. All dishes were beautifully decorated and absolutely delicious, confirming the consistency of food quality. If you often stay for months at a hotel or dine at a hotel’s restaurants several times per week, you will soon get bored with having the same food over time. Hence, you certainly notice that the Executive Chef at the Montagu Kitchen well understands customer perception by offering multiple lunch menus throughout the week, allowing frequent customers to enjoy the familiar 5-star ambiance of a Hyatt hotel while stimulating their appetite with food excitement. Whilst seeing many hotels’ restaurants rarely changing their menus due to conservative views or complex operations, perhaps? I guess, by thinking out of the box with this clever strategy, the Montagu Kitchen could attract and retain many gastronomy lovers.
Absolutely amazing experience at The Montagu Kitchen! From the welcome to the very last bite. Staff was very knowledgable and explained detailed their new concept of the menu!Must say it’s phenomenal! Every dish is a masterpiece! Many options for different taste! Especially loved the scallops and beef tartar served so artistically! And they also focus on sustainability which is so much important for our world! Can’t wait to comeback!
The Sunday lunch menu created by the Executive Chef, Roger Olsson, was very creative, well presented, and flavorful. Furthermore, the service, live music, and sophisticated ambiance made an exceptional experience.

We were made to understand that a 3 course would be £35 and with proseco would be £40. But much to our horror when the bill came we had been charged £40 each for the refill proseco and 35 each for the meal. Very misleading.
We’ve brunched at the Churchill so many times before…& always SO impressed with the buffet brunch with bottomless Champagne.
So we were somewhat disappointed that the Champagne has now been replaced by Prosecco & the buffet does not exist at all ! The menu selection is also somewhat limited, with burgers (albeit very tasty ones) as an option ! What happened to the Sunday lunch options like pork belly or roast beef ? Desserts also used to be so beautifully presented, but again…a reduced menu of options & not a hint of a cheeseboard !
I’m guessing it’s all down to Covid & the need for social distancing, but that doesn’t explain the menu limitations & coming away from Champagne.
Hopefully, in time, the traditional options will return.
Still a nice experience but perhaps we were spoilt ‘pre-Coronavirus’ & things haven’t recovered.
Food was good and generous sized portions. Restaurant was quite empty which meant we were well attended to.
Great Sunday Brunch. The staff were really nice and friendly. Good ambiance with folksy musicians.
Quiet Monday evening, the lady who looked after us introduced us to the history of the place & she knew it well the food & drinks menu.
Good upselling skills as she offered starter drinks and desserts.
Jose gave a touch to the table and said hello, which is much appreciated in hospitality service.

Beef carpaccio and lobster tasted amazing. Very Nice food, excellent service, cosy restaurant. We enjoyed our meal. Would like to come back.
Wow, what an experience! I visited with my dad and my maid of honour after some wedding shopping and we were absolutely blown away by the service. Every single member of staff we spoke to was so attentive, mindful of my dietary requirements and it felt like they couldn’t do enough for us.
We each went simple with vegan and vegetarian burgers and a number of sides and the flavour was top notch - great getting to watch the chefs in the kitchen too! Lovely ambience, great location, fabulous staff and delicious food. Couldn’t fault it!

The whole experience was outstanding. Staff was awesome. Jose and Martha were very friendly and helpful! The terrace was decorated in a really lovely way,it felt like we were on the beach. The food was amazing. We had the lobster and the octopus and Eton Mess as a desert. I loved that all the ingredients were all sourced locally. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be coming back!

The restaurant takes the form of a pop-up terrace. The seafood menu is somewhat limited, but we knew this in advance as we'd looked online. The lobster was great. Friendly service - we'd definitely go back.

Great concept and it's helpful having heaters but the menu is a let-down. I appreciate there are limitations with a 'pop-up' but the variety on offer could be vastly improved by having more salad options (and less starchy carbs!) If you are just having drinks then I would recommend the MK and/or you are not wheat intolerant!
