The Morecambe Hotel
Food luke warm. It was ok but not as good as usual.
I love the Morecambe hotel, however the only thing that needs to be worked on is the speed of service. I feel I wait around for a long time. However saying that the food is beautiful and the staff are lovely
Varied menu. Freshly cooked. Starters especially were excellent although it was all lovely
Amazing as always
This was a birthday lunch and the occasion more than lived up to expectations; vibrant atmosphere, excellent food, both for starters and mains, and attentive service. The Morecambe Hotel has established an enviable reputation for consistently good food and this was well up to standard. Very well done....loved the gigantic cardboard cut-out of world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury in reception. What a knock-out!!!!
Food good but waited ages for it. Long time between courses and Ordered sweets and nearly gave up waiting it took that long! Shame because we really like the place, the staff are always helpful and friendly and the food is good when it arrives.
Not sure if understaffed or just a bit poor in general, but an hour wait for starters, no offer to get more drinks and then another 40 minutes for main course, isn’t great! Place not full, so not sure why all the delay
Fantastic food service was great overall excellent experience will go again
This was our first visit. The pub seems set up for food with most people eating. Either in the large bar area or restaurant. There is no parking nearby, so on a rainy day it was a drop off and for the driver to then find somewhere nearby. Wet walk back to the car. Good selection of real ales. Food was OK. It was quite busy and the two friendly staff were rushing round trying to cope, serving behind the bar and on the tables. Bar menu was more popular than the restaurant area. With so many decent and reasonably priced eating pubs nearby, not sure if we will go back.
So lucky having this gem as our local! Can't fault food, service or staff!
excellent food, service and prices. thanks for a nice evening..
The food was excellent. The service was excellent. Overall opinion excellent. Never been disappointed with anything. Plenty of room on your table and spacious around your table.
The food was absolutely out of this world, amazing in fact! But the service?! I don’t think any of the service staff smiled. When staff came to the table to take our order we weren’t asked what we’d like, just stared at us to give our order. The starter didn’t arrive for a good hour after placing our order. I ordered a drink at the same time as ordering a dessert which never turned up. We weren’t once asked how our meal was, even when we paid the bill. If the place was absolutely ram packed then I could see past the service issues but it wasn’t rushed off their feet busy at all. Certainly won’t be going back, I can’t do with poor service!
Once again a really lovely meal at the Morecambe Hotel, really good service and hospitality, highly recommend everyone to visit.
Excellent service and value for money . Ideal location to spend a few nights whilst attending a wedding.
Fab food & Great service Lovely, clean & tidy place Would highly recommend
Just don't feel like the service warrants the price. I would gladly wait 45 mins for a two Ciabatta's and Chips of they were outstanding but they were simply average at best. Wouldn't rush to go again.
Birthday meal. Great food and great evening. Loved the video of Morecambe during the past 130 years that was running on one wall.
Perfect. Food arrival was a little longer than expected but worth it for the end product. A very classy, contemporary and top quality restaurant which is much needed in Morecambe. Highly recommended.
Very friendly and attentive staff - the surroundings were very pleasant and we all had a great time. The christmas crackers and vouchers were a nice touch
I and my family visited recently to have our annual Xmas get together and was pleased with our choice. The food and service was excellent and we will be returning soon for my father's birthday.
Somewhere we like to go for a meal, so we went here one evening during Christmas week. Nice meal.
Food was pretty average on this occasion. Had some decent meals there but today was a let down unfortunately.
Pre Christmas visit with my brother.
Great festive menu with beautiful, moist Turkey with all the trimmings. Lovely puddings, especially the sticky toffee bread and butter pud. Perfect for a family get together.
Last minute booking food excellent service very good
The Morecambe Hotel is well worth a visit whether you are a guest in the hotel or looking for somewhere to have breakfast, lunch or an evening meal.
Our experience earlier in the year and on the last few evenings (Nov 19) have all been very enjoyable... great food, plenty of choice, all presented well and hot. The wine list offers a plentiful choice of by the glass / bottle from around the world. And at reasonable prices.
The staff are all very pleasant and helpful and happy to serve you.
All in all very good value for money.👍
Excellent food, good value and very friendly service. Love the old Morecambe footage running on the TV.
Very poor service, pub definitely lacking in atmosphere, staff are not terribly friendly |(the restaurant wasn't nearly full so can't blame being overworked on attitude), staff were slow to respond (even at the bar and when we arrived, we were left standing about for more than 5 mins and two people were at the bar), all feels rather apathetic and this isn't the first time. This is the second time in about 6 weeks I've been for dinner here and got the same excuses for food being served so utterly late at the table (talking 45 mins and 40 mins and no communication from staff until they were asked then the excuses tumbled out). Won't be going again if I can help it, wasn't comfortable there at all.
Very enjoyable meal. Excellent service.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated and is very welcoming. The waiting staff were very efficient. I had the cannon of lamb and my husband had the chicken and pork pie. We ate the lot!
Nice welcome from the barman who fixed us with drinks on arrival as we sheltering from the unexpected downpour. The Lamb Roast dinner was really good, although my hubby’s Roast Chicken dinner was lacking in portion size, not that much of an issue given that he was feeling unwell anyway! The only thing that spoilt this one of many visits was the not so friendly waitress who served us the majority of our visit... suffice to say we were therefore reluctant to tip... which when she processed our payment, she deliberately let us know she was dissatisfied with our decision by the look on her face to us! This was supposed to be a Sunday treat to get my hubby out of the house pending his cancer treatment, it doesn’t take a lot to smile, one of the most important acts to offer one another in life!
Always good service, friendly staff that go the extra mile and lovely food. Reliable .
The food was very good, the service friendly without being obtrusive. Overall a grate evening.
Food and service good, group of ladies and children quite noisy
The hotel is fabulous, the food amazing and all the staff are polite, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there was a young child with a couple dining at the same time, and the child belted out ear piercing screams the whole time we were there. It ruined my father's birthday celebrations and spoilt other diners experience too. It was such a shame....but would definitely recommend and will go again
Eaten here twice on the last week. First time was great. Second time was a Thursday about 5pm. Maybe that’s a bad day to eat. Service was just ok. The food was eatable have ever the brioche Buns were stale, dry and just fell apart. A letdown I must say
Overall great food. 2 of the main courses were not as we expected. When we raised this with the team it was sorted out to our satisfaction. The rib eye steak was lovely.
We had invited friends for my birthday celebration. Food & service were excellent. Food outstanding. 👍👍👍👍👍
The food was exceptional, the service was great but it felt a little like they didn't want to be there on a Sunday evening. I like the Morecambe and would happily recommend friends to visit and enjoy the food.
