   Quite loud... vocal + music. Food mostly tasted great. Two of 3 potatoes were hard and just 2 teaspoons of Parsnip puree. Had to ask for Pork exchange, due to "no crackling". A little disappointed 😕 I understand prices are rocketing but a little more veg would have made the difference and Pork belly also a cheaper cut was rather minimalist ... and I loathe huge pieces of meat on my plate but still, I was shocked.

   By 7pm on a Saturday evening 75% of the food we wanted to order had run out. It wouldn’t bother me if it was late night Saturday or Sunday for dinner, but this was literally at the start of the busiest night of the weekend. Our waitress was visibly in a really bad mood, but others were incredibly kind and made up for her. The food available was very very good as usual. We love the pub, we’re relatively frequent customers and will definitely go back. However it was a disappointing 40th birthday dinner experience. Out of curiosity I’d like to know what the point of asking at booking what the occasion is is, if then it doesn’t make any difference.

   Despite the pub being busier than expected by the manager we were served calmly and efficiently. The menu was extensive and the food was excellent. A good selection of beers and a nice bottle of wine. Lovely ambiance. The Morgan will become a regular haunt for us.

   We had a family dinner last Sunday and my family from abroad never tried the Sunday Roast and we ordered the trio of meat, It was ok... the pork wasn't the best We reckons and a bit tasteless overall..average. We also ordered a couple of starters and they were nothing special too..a bit tiny the portions and the fish was definitely frozen.

   It was pretty disappointing initially that at 6.30 2 of the mains weren’t available and then being told that also there was only 2 of the 6 starters available. Limited choice. We had fish and chips which was very nice in the end

    Was okay. Service wasn’t great, they were v busy tbf but didn’t get sauces as ordered from the menu and one staff was kinda rude when we mentioned it (we were nice!) :-/ Waited ages for bill, but just collared someone on way out when we were done with waiting. Roast was good-okay, pork was quite dry. Potatoes were okay. For the price you get get better elsewhere. Pub is nice though. Won’t go back for roast but probably drinks or maybe a casual lunch when it’s not that busy.

    I think they way it has been reviewed does not reflect the venue. I have severe allergies and I was asked to use their QR code for the allergen menu. After carefully studying I picked a dish (which was super basic) for dinner and then it came out with bread (which was not on the allergen list and I am very allergic too). When I questioned the Chef he said that it comes with bread and the allergen menu was wrong. I then raised it with the GM and she said that he was wrong. No one offered me an apology for their mistake or any kind of compensation. They just decided to disagree with each other. I could have been seriously sick but that did not seem to matter to them. Terrible place would nor recommend. Staff have a terrible attitude.

    An authentic East End gastro pub restaurant and a fashionable crowd. A little way from Columbia Rd but I still spotted some flowers being carried. Easy walking distance from Mile End tube and/or easy parking on a Sunday. And a great roast beef on a Sunday lunchtime with a fine couple of pints to wash it down!

    I've been living near The Morgan for ten years and have seen managers and staff come and go. Sunday lunch, the roasts, has always been good. Yesterday it wasn't just bad but grim. I wanted to say something at the time, but my goodbye was in haste. I had roast beef, and it was awful; I'd never recommend The Morgan to anyone based on this lunch. The beef was two slivers of rather pink looking gristly beef. A cheap cut of beef, too. Over cooked potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding which looked like it came from a package. This came with undercooked white cabbage and a couple of grim looking carrots. Nothing green on the plate. I had to ask for more gravy. You cannot consider yourself a 'gastro' pub serving food this poor. It's hard to get a Sunday roast wrong, too. My friend's baked camembert was also awful and he is a restaurant owner himself. He couldn't finish it. No one complained, so I am doing this here. I'm assuming you have a new chef. If so, she he/she is awful and you need to hear this from a longstanding local resident. I wouldn't come back to The Morgan Arms for food again. I was also slightly embarrassed for my friends. It was a pretty bad experience. Staff were friendly and service was good, and I love the place. The bloody Marys were great. Food; nil points. You need to know.

    It took a long time for anyone to notice we were waiting to be seated, and once we had been we were informed they had very little choice left on the already limited menu. So we left.

    The pub was very busy and hence noisier than we find comfortable. The was no real ale and the Moretti was expensive and not to my taste. The glass of rosé was pleasant but also the smallest "medium" measure I can recall. We enjoyed our main dishes but the pudding was disappointing. The waiting staff were fine, despite the demand. I gather there was a nearby music festival which probably accounts for the busyness. I doubt if we will return on weekend.

    Very average, food was poor, not what I would describe as Gastropub! No body seemed particularly interested in making us welcome. Our waiter in particular seemed to take little pleasure in his job, although efficient enough. Last time I was there, some 10 years ago I remember things as being much better. No intention of returning as there are much better options.

    We had the Sunday roast. It was well cooked and a decent portion. This is no gourmet pub, but the food was wholesome. Could have done with more than two vegetables. Very friendly staff. Just annoyed by the imposed tip.
