Amazing food, excellent service, will be returning.
We both thoroughly enjoyed our delicious lunch at the Old Inn! It was our Anniversary. I had the Sea Bass and my husband had Pork Belly: both fantastic! What a joy! Look forward to returning. Janet
Excellent quality food in a lovely environment. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. Portion sizes perhaps a little excessive.
Just love it here.
Great food and looks amazing outside and in
We always come to the Old Inn for the amazing pork belly that they serve. However on this occasion. it was not as good , the roast saute potatoes they used to serve with it that were delicious have now been replaced with Mashed potato and the pork belly a lot smaller, also with a significant price increase of about £2 on this dish we were very disappointed in the change in this dish however it was nice.
Such a shame as The old inn is a lovely place to dine.
Lovely pub, good service and quiet atmosphere (lunchtime – am told evenings are fuller)
Such a great place - ticks every box.
Lovely food and place, good service, friendly staff but service charge of 10% should be optional not just added to the bill.
Thank you for your kind comments and feedback. Service charge is 100% discretionary and added to the bills for guests convenience. The staff will always remove the charge on request as stated on the menus.
As Always a great experience in a lovely setting . The sea bass tastes better every time
On arrival was given a table in the pizza restaurant. No quibbles about finding a table at the front.
Very attentive staff, and food very good. Great evening spent with friends.
As good as always. Cheeky lunch outside in glorious October sunshine.
Great food pub in a superb location. Clean, beautiful decor and very polite, friendly and prifessional staff. Food fairly pricey but utterly delicious.
Will definitely go back.
Lovely country pub with excellent food, good service & a warm atmosphere. Slightly expensive food for a pub (especially the desserts for what they are) however quality is very high. Highly recommended.
Lovely surroundings, superb food and pretty good value considering the excellence from the kitchens. Highly recommended!
Staff attentive and efficient. A little wait for food, but it was busy so to be expected. Food was delicious and good sized portions.
Good quality food served by welcoming, friendly staff .
Excellent friendly service, good menu and well presented food.
We have always had great meals here.. however I had fish and chips and couldn’t eat it as the fish was thin and brown inside … horrible. Really disappointing as it’s usually great.
Warm friendly atmosphere with great food - will return soon
Excellent friendly service. Can never fault this place
Perfect evening the only thing is I found there was too much tomatoe sauce on the pizza base but other than that it was all delicious and the staff were amazing!
Will definitely come back!
The food was lovely and the staff were very attentive and helpful so we would definitely go back! The only negatives would be that it’s quite pricy, and a service charge is added to the bill and we do like to make our own decision as to whether we tip and the amount.
Lovely birthday lunch, both choices from the menu were excellent and generous portions. Return visit booked before we left !
Lovely warm and welcoming on a very wet and windy day! Friendly service, great food, lovely pub!
Our last minute decision to go to The Old Inn didn’t disappoint it’s such a lovely country pub. The staff are very helpful and the food was very good. Can’t wait to go back again.
Really Great evening with superb, food service, wine & beer in a Really Lovely Setting
Haven't visited the pub since before lockdown. They have clearly spent a lot of money on the welcoming exterior. The young waiters and waitresses were very pleasant. However, I was shocked at the food price increases. I have since compared with other comparable pubs and The Old Inn is still the highest. My friend had chicken which looked and tasted good apparently and I chose the ribeye. The steak was cooked to my request but was very tough and lots of grissle running through. The side salad was very good but the pepper sauce way too thin and literally hundreds of peppercorns when no need. This dish did not fit the £25 price charged. The sweets are all £8 each now which is excessive. To sum up, £80 for 2 mains, 1 pudding and a scoop of icecream, 2 soft drinks and coffee is frankly dreadful. The price also included a 10% service charge which we could have asked to be removed I guess but we'd always leave a tip for the waiters so didn't ask for this to be removed. Such a shame about the cost as it kind of ruined our experience of what is a nice venue.
Lovely home cooked food. The whitebait and crackling was just a little too bit overcooked. But we all enjoyed our meal a lot.
Everything was delicious. The four of us really enjoy scallops and the calamari. My salmon was excellent, cooked to perfection. Staff as usual friendly and great with our two spaniels.
I can’t believe I have never been to this cracking pub before, as pubs go in my opinion it’s as good as you can get . Myself and my wife went there last night , driving in horrible weather to get there and I’m very glad we did well worth a visit.
Excellent, quality food and service. Polite, helpful staff. We'll be back!
Food very good. Main courses all very good, but felt sweets were too expensive for
fairly average fare. Staff very polite and professional. Decor very tasteful. Good cleanliness everywhere. Prices possibly a bit high, but unsurprising in the current
climate. Will certainly pay another visit.
Overall a good experience.
Easy to book. Very friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious. We will definitely visit again when next in the neighbourhood.
The Old Inn never fails to deliver consistently great food, service and value for money.
Great atmosphere too! Perfect.
As always, we had another outstanding meal at The Old Inn. Nice atmosphere, the staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
First time eating here. Excellent food will be returning.
Had a lovely lunch. We all went for the Sunday roast and it was superb. Had some ropey roast dinners of late at other restaurants but yesterday’s could not be faulted, crispy roast potatoes and all piping hot. Will definitely be back.
Great Sunday Roast especially the meat. Ambience great really buzzing Good value for great food
Food was great, and a waiter came to the table pretty quickly to take our drinks order and then our food order. As we were chatting away, we realised that it had been over an hour, nearing and hour and a half, and our food hadn't come, yet the tables around us who ordered after us had already had theirs. We had to ask a passing waiter to check on our order, which arrived shortly after. Our table was cleared by two different waiters, both of which asked if we wanted the desert menu...
Neither brought one. 20 minutes later, we had to go and ask for a dessert menu from the bar. The food once arrived was good, but sadly the service let the it down. When we let the staff know when we came to pay, there was no apology, just the response of "it just depends what order it comes out of the kitchen", which didn't seem right considering we arrived and ordered way before the three other tables around us. Clearly a case of our order getting lost, which happens, but could have been handled better by the staff. Appreciate it was busy, and we knew there would be a wait and were happy with that, but clearly we were missed/forgotten, so our feedback is purely to highlight the need for the staff to be organised a bit better and for it to be dealt with better when it is raised. Won't let this put us off visiting again as it has always been a lovely pub, with great food, so hoping this was a one off!
Lovely Inn, indoor immaculate, lovely covered outdoor seating area. Food great. Staff friendly and helpful. Dog friendly. Highly recommended it.
