The Pearson Room
The interior draws inspiration from a broad description of a 1950’s stylised Hitchcock approach to design; born from an era in which the traditional attitudes of the time were challenged and that have endured in the decades to come and right up to the present day. With heritage leather seating, a large zinc bar and stunning vistas over looking Canada Square, the atmosphere is one of easy-going indulgence, combining a stylish and cosy design. The Pearson Room owes its name to the eminent Canadian Nobel Prize winning Canadian Statesman, Lester B. Pearson. We offer an atmosphere that is vibrant and bustling, yet still personal, playful and welcoming.
We always got to Pearson room... The service is great, food is good and a nice view... If you are vegetarian, the options are minimal..
Very attentive service and the food was delicious.
It was open plan and can be noisy but overall a positive experience.
My friend and I got together with some old friends who were visiting. The food and service were good and the place is good for meeting/chatting.
The setting was very nice, modern, clean with good views of Canada Square. The service was good, the food was very nice, good portion size and delivered in good time. The price was acceptable. Overall, I had a very enjoyable time at The Pearson Room and would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat at Canary Wharf.
The Pearson Room is a nice place to grab a lunch/coffee - fairly relaxed atmosphere with some good food. also great for after work drinks.
Nice place - good GF options, although as a New Yorker, the Reuben wasn't up to scratch but I set the bar high!
The service was hit and miss and considering there were many free tables we was put in the middle with drinkers nearby so it was very noisy! However, we was not rushed and the restaurant was very spacious. I would return for brunch when it's a but quieter.
Great tae on the balcony with views out. Nicely spaced for conversation without feeling empty. Food quality was very good.
Poor staff service. Not enough staff. Requests not actions. Wouldn’t go back.
I thought I would try The Pearson Room after a couple of years as I thought it may have improved but sadly it hasnt . Surly staff (no smiles here!) and decidedly average and overpriced food.
It looks good but I wouldnt return for food, maybe for drinks.
Lovely place and generous portions for the price, we ordered too much but would not have wanted to miss out on anything. We had small plates and sides, particular recommendations for the chicken wings, squid and mac and cheese (huge pot for a cheap side) very friendly and helpful staff
It was really busy and loud on a Friday evening so not recommended for a romantic dinner. Food was fresh and flavoursome. Loved the crab starter and the poke main was OK. C lassie cocktails and not enough bubbles by the glass.
Lovely food, big portions.
Cocktails need improving. Margarita arrived glass half full even with ice, poor quality taste and very poor quantity. Atmosphere was fine, all else good though, but work on getting the drinks right
I have had a terrible experience lately and here it goes-
I am a vegetarian and ordered the (v) salad- roasted carrot with avocado , that came with slices of chicken. And when asked the server he replied- he thought I wanted one and that he thought the dish comes with chicken...so he served us the same. Really...??
To top that the bill comes with an additional charge of chicken for my salad.
I ended up paying both the charge for chicken and also the service charge (which definitely I shouldn't have paid) but only realized when I got back home.
Am wondering what will be done to act on this?

Delicious food, service was very slow.
Despite the message received from The Pearson Room, we did have lunch there with my colleagues.
Service was rather bad with a very loud, abrupt and rude Italian waitress. Sadly the food didn't compensate the attitude. I won't rush back and nor will my colleagues.
I haven't been to the Pearson Rooms for over a year but I was very disappointed in what seemed to be a real drop in quality of food. My husband eats here every morning before work and said nothing had changed on the breakfast menu, so perhaps the budget for that menu hasn't been cut! I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was quite frankly, revolting...nothing how you would imagine pulled pork to be...it landed on my table in what could be described as a hotdog bun, some soggy pork that was, despite being wet, dry...topped with a tasteless "slaw" which was slightly vinegary shredded cabbage. The sweet potato chips were the saving grace of my meal. Service was pretty good, but I won't be rushing back anytime soon.
Great seat at the front of the restaurant. Airy and light and away from other tables allowed private conversation. Delicious toast, avocado, chili flakes and poached egg. Will use again for a business breakfast.
Fantastic for business meetings; good quality healthy food, quiet during lunch, and not too crazy-noisy during the evenings.
As always the Pearson rooms always delivers. Great staff. Good straight forward food, good ambience and just a place you can always rely on.
The food was very good complimented by a good service. The place was a little noisy but still enjoyable. Overall it was a good dining experience.
Really enjoyable breakfast. Good food. Massive portions. Would go back.
This is a great place for an early morning meet, particularly with the gym nearby. The selection is simple, but just what you need. The room offers great views of Canada Square.
Got the sofa seats: yay!!
Too noisy. Otherwise good.
Martinis we're crisp, clean & wonderfully dry. Well done baldy beardy bartender!
Great place for a quick business lunch. A busy scene but staff were spot on with service.
Slow service. Ordered the braised beef, it was without flavour.
Efficient and friendly service which was great as I had my 3 children with me for a quick lunch. All the meals were great with the exception of the tomato pasta that my daughter ordered that was rather bland. Not cheap but easy to get to, quiet enough to chat and a good quick turnaround.
The booking process was smooth, service was good and the food was amazing!
I was thoroughly disappointed by the atmosphere. I thought I had booked at a restaurant not a nightclub. There was a drinks party on the side which may have maximised profits given the bar is so small but led me to the conclusion I will never go there to eat again. The noise led all of my friends and I to shout to each other in order to be heard. The assumption, despite booking for dinner and confirming this, that it was bar food we were after. We had to ask for menus!?! Overall thoroughly disappointed on the night which was supposed to be the highlight of my week. Great for partying and drinking to loud music otherwise steer clear...
The first time I had lunch there, we sat on the armchairs by the windows as requested: it made catching up with a friend much more intimate and special!
Food is of good quality although a bit pricey, but then it is in Canary Wharf, so expected!
Wanted a convenient spot in Canary Wharf for a relaxed business breakfast and this ticked every box. Near the Tube, open early, comfortable, good food, not crowded or noisy.
Having been to the Pearson Room before, I was looking forward to casual but well delivered dining. What I got was the worst service I have experienced in years.
The truly awful service began with our "waiter" seating our final guest; before she had removed her coat, he was literally thumping the cocktails menu, asking for her drinks order. By this point, she hadn't even said hello to us, and the waiter seemed stunned when having demanded of her "what do you want to drink?", I replied ' I think she'd like to sit down first".
Service just went down hill from there. Our order was taken while making it clear that we should hurry up, menus were snatched out of my hand and at one point, the plate was nearly removed from one of our guests before she had finished eating.
And this was all compounded by relentless attempts to up-sell - "do you want XXX with that?" followed EVERY request for something, even when we had clearly completed our orders.
So in summary, the most aggressive, bad service I've received in years, and no, I will neither be returning to the Pearson Room nor recommending it to anyone. Overpriced food and especially wine, and rude, aggressive service convinced me that my money is better spent elsewhere.
Great food choices with some new items on the menu, the burgers with sweet potato fries, tuna salad and fish and chips were all good.
I'm a massive fan of your restaurant but this trip was really disappointing.
Everything was going well and then the fire alarm went. Yes these things happen but we were rudely bundled out into the cold. There was no "we will keep your meals hot" there certainly wasn't any apology or any communication. If it was a fire drill then we needed to be informed, if it was an accident and someone pulled the fire alarm then we need to be reimbursed. To then come back to cold food and then given a bill for the full amount was disgraceful.
I love the Pearson rooms and I visit a lot but this was really bad form.
Lola and her team run a great restuarant. We use it a lot for client lunches and entertainment.
Great breakfast (food, juice and coffee). Worked really well for a catch up meeting venue.
Went here with some colleagues for an informal team meal - fairly quiet as it was a Monday night, but still good ambiance. Food was good, service was really great. Separate bar area and restaurant, both nicely decorated and comfortable.
