The Pembroke
. Located within a five minute walk to or from the Earls Court Exhibition Centre.
The Pembroke features a 48 cover dining room to the rear, a beautiful roof terrace and a stunning lounge bar upstairs.
Have eaten here before and we were a little disappointed on this occasion
We both ate the fish and chips and felt the fish fell below the quality on our previous visit
Typical English pub serving hearty meals
Too much noise, we could'nt hear each other. No really local foods except fish & chips but the rest was overestimated.
DONT GO THERE!!!!
Just terrible!! Went there Saturday evening.
We set for dinner, no vegetarian options AT ALL!!
WOW... Eat meat or stay hungry!!
We tried to by pass by ordering fish finger sandwich that was on the menu, and an extended side salad for the my partner.
after 3 mins comes the bar tender/ responsible, very firm saying that sandwich is not part of the menu (although was on the menu)
“So what can we eat? “ We asked..
He gave us this look of a veal and said, I will do EVERYTHING I can for you guys.
Great!! (I replied) So make us one sandwich which is on the menu, his reply that he can’t!!
What a bad joke...
We used to go there 3/5 years ago very often, with family, friends and as a couple only... used to love it and was ALWAYS FULL... now super empty and horrible.
Now the Pembroke is the worst experience we v had for long time.
We drank our wine we ordered and went to the Italian next door...
Will NEVER go back and my advise to everyone , DONT GO THERE.
There are much better places!!!
When we arrived, the table type we'd reserved (high table) wasn't available and they had reserved us a table in the restaurant area which we didn't want as we wanted to watch the football while we ate. They told us we couldn't reserve that type of table even though we had and that the website gave us the option to. Fortunately there was a spare table not in the restaurant area which had a view of the tv, albeit not a great one. Once we had a table, the service was fine and the food was tasty
Outstanding food. Outstanding service. An excellent spot for food before heading to Stamford Bridge.
Good quality food and service.
Great beer choices too
We tried to eat there twice on our trip, the fryer was broke and their kitchen was closed even though the sign said they were open.
A fabulous gastro-pub. Pub-comfy but with a more interesting menu than your typical pub. It’s spacious as well. Our server, Bianca was fantastic!
FABULOUS FOOD AND 100% SERVICE AND Hospitality - a wonderful place to share good times
Excellent food and beer.
Enjoyed the late lunch prior to going to the live match.
I booked a table and when we arrived they told us me they do not take Opentable bookings into account.
Dined upstairs to watch the Football, however at half time the commentary turned in to extremely loud music and continued for 15 minutes or so, this spoilt the enjoyment.
Good food and beer as always though.
Food and service were very good. You MUST book if there’s a Chelsea home game because the Pembroke is popular with fans going to their matches. (NB: Only home fans will be admitted.) Despite that, the restaurant area was not noisy, despite the bar being full of Chelsea football fans watching the early kick-off.
Great place to have a meal and drink good beer.
Attentive staff too.
Great and quick food service; bar was very busy and so a bit of a wait, but it was an England World Cup match. Very busy during matches but three large TVs so can view from almost anywhere. When I booked I mentioned watching the match and was given a great table for it. Flatbread and dip was delicious!
Have been to the Pembrooke a couple of times before and we were looking forward to returning. Reserved a high top in the front of the room (an option offered by the restaurant) for 7:30 and reconfirmed the day before at their request. On arrival no one was available to greet us and we had to wait quite a while till someone came out from the back, The person who eventually did speak to us seemed a bit uncertain and offered us a table in a small area back near the kitchen. When we pointed out we had a reservation she finally looked it up and found the reservation but had no other seating to offer us. It seemed no one had reviewed any reservations they had that night and what seating option they had chosen -- totally unprepared. A terrible way to treat repeat (or any) customers -- won't be back. We did, btw, end up having a great dinner that night down the street at the Italian restaurant Pappardella.
Deserted on a Friday night. Austere looking. No table service on terrace.
We left
I made a reservation in the pub to watch the UEFA Final Match. Although there was a slight confusion with the table, the pub provided us seats in front of the big screen, according to my request.
However, the pub was quite full, the transmission happened almost without sound, and the service was very weak, there was no more beer, there were few attendants and plenty of waiting to order drinks.
For a place that wants to broadcast the games of the world cup, and that receives a large audience on game days, the place must prepare itself better, in terms of service.
Thanks
Excellent Pub and Food experience - as always.
Had their Fish & Chips meal - very good.
Highly recommended.
This was a pleasant neighbourhood pub with good food and a quiet eating area where my friend and could enjoy catching up away from the chatty drinkers the front. Service was attentive but not pushy.
Great place with good service.
Nice choice of beer and food.
Small menu, food was decent. Loved the decor... and the service was good.
Very tasty Sunday roast. Probably one of the best I've had at the Pembroke. Hope the quality stays (i.e. chef)!!! :)
Bloody Mary was quite tasty - mustard seeds instead of horseradish. Yummy. A bit thicker and more spice would suit me.
Desserts were enjoyed by all, especially the massive apple crumble.
First time here with a friend. We both had Teriyaki squid to start and scallops and chips for mains along with a side of macaroni cheese. The food was so nice and very reasonably priced.
My only issue was the time it took for the drinks and macaroni cheese to come out. With that said we did not complain and yet when we received the bill our server Christopher apologised for the slow service and knocked the drinks and macaroni cheese.
The slow service was not his fault. He was left to serve around 8 tables alone.
We would definately come back and thank you Christopher.
Ate here prior going to the football match on Tuesday had their Fish and Chips which was marvellous.
Good choice of beers available and their staff are very customer focus.
Service was very casual .. you could see the staff having jokes in the kitchen. Went for a roast dinner on Sunday, they were out of a lot of food and for 2 roast dinners, 2 diet cokes and a dessert £60 is a bit over priced, delicious, but needed more food really!
Très bon accueil. Service rapide. Plats bien présentés et bons.

Due to a football match it was really busy and loud. Not enough service staff and half the food on the menu was sold out. We couldn’t even get a burger in the end.
Wonderful staff and more importantly, excellent food. They never disappoint.
Great pub, good food and good service.
Try it as you won't regret it.
I booked a standard table through Open Table. The pub has an upstairs eating area where there is a big screen for sport. There is no facility on the website to choose this option and the upstairs tables are reserved very early. If you wish to book upstairs it's best to call the Pembroke directly.
The food (Sunday lunch) was very good for £16/head. Well cooked and presented with plenty of gravy (for a change).
The staff were friendly and accomodating, but could smile a bit more. The waitress was very helpful.
Overall, a nice experience which I would repeat.
We go to this pub when in town to watch the local football team.
Very popular at these times.
The staff are very customer focused and the food is great.
Review for Sunday lunch. Our waiter was very helpful but, other than that, there were very few other positives. No atmosphere: there were only two tables occupied (when the other local pub we tried to book was booked out for that same Sunday lunchtime). The fish we ordered had to be sent back twice. The steak cuissons were inconsistent and one of us consequently couldn't finish their meal ...
Went on Sunday. We both had a roast. I had the pork and my friend had the beef.
The portions were large. Nice choice of veg. The yorkshire pudding was nice although the roast potatoes were a little disappointing. Not crispy enough. I ended up only eating only half of one and I usually LOVE roast potatoes!
My pork and crackling was lovely though. The gravy was a little too rich.
All in all it was a good meal
The staff are friendly and very customer focused.
We had lunch here before going to the football match and then returned after for a few beers.
Good selection of beers and choice of food.
Highly recommended.
Great to find a casual gastric pub that was open to late food bookings, great food drinks choice.
Attentive waiting staff with a great personality. Vibrate but can chat. I great find
Nice cSual food and warm surroundings
Fantastic
Great food, very comfortable and great service
Friendly staff, good food and great view of the football match.. Will return..
