Peninsula Restaurant - InterContinental London The O2
Excellent. Le diner dégustation avec la vue sur la tamise et les building est magnifique et juste parfait pour un diner en amoureux. Ambiance très calme. Personnel très accueillant et compétent.
As we do not eat meat anymore, we asked to mix the fishes of the gastro menu with some of the veg meals of the other one : lovely partition, perfectly cooked and served.
Nice moment with the chef as soon as we asked to meet her.
We'll come back in Mach (already booked).
7 course tasting menu was superb and wines very much accompanied the courses. Staff very attentive, pleasant and professional.
Superb food and service with stunning views - can’t praise it enough
Food was great. View was excellent. Excellent service by the staff. We had a wonderful wedding anniversary celebration. The staff even prepared a surprise anniversary cake/ dessert for us which was very lovely. We will definitely be back.
Food was good, although not to Michelin star standard. The ambience and view is excellent of course. The experience was let down by the hotel receptionist and the lack of information about car parking validating tickets. Being interrogated. By the receptionist was not how I expected to end my evening.
Good food and a pleasant space although strangely sat all four parties almost on top of one another. Waiters were keen but slightly cumbersome in style. Felt they were going through the training manual of customer service.
This is a must place to visit. The ambience is beautiful, the staff are incredibly sociable and knowledgeable and the food, wow.
The 7 course taster with stonefish and turbot and quail and venison was amazing. The sauces with each course were delicate and just divine.
We were rushed on arrival and pushed to give choice of food & wine, staff knew we were going to a concert. We were then left sitting for over an hour! We asked on more than one occasion for our food and met various excuses. I would not go again, although a beautiful restaurant with lovely views. In restaurant favour they did take a percentage off the final bill.
Good food and nice flavours. Superb views of Canary Wharf. Only let down was that the service was "ok" - there were seemed to be no co-ordination or pattern between staff. It felt rushed as if they wanted to churn us over and get us out, although half the restaurant was empty. For example the waiter would ask us if we were ready to order; we said no. And then another waiter would ask us again 30 seconds later. Another example - we wanted some extra time to peruse over the wine list but the waiter asked if "we were done with the wine list" and took it away, without asking us what we wanted to drink. The service seemed impersonal. For a restaurant doing fine dining; it lacked the personal touches and service that those other restaurants offer.
Great place, a bit of a secret, so not over busy. The food is excellent, service same and they take such care. Well worth the money, free champagne plus much more??
The colleagues were great so attentive and the food was perfect.
So easy for the 02 shows and free parking for while your at the meal, so good.
Previous visits have been excellent - this time was terrible. The waiters / waitresses seemed to have no idea what they were doing - we waited such a long time for all of our courses - they brought the wrong wine - the men got served first - very very poor.
Beautiful views, delicious food and attentive staff
Lovely setting and great food.
Very nice service
Waitress was very attentive
Really posh restaurant
Our waiter was very good!!! He knew all about the food, menu and wine. His recommendations were perfect.
It was our second visit and it was a successful one again. Amazing food. Great service. Beautiful views. What else there to say..
The whole experience was exceptional. The food was delicious, the staff attentive but not intrusive and the view from our table spectacular.
In a nutshell, my favourite restaurant. Very rarely do I return to a restaurant with so many options to choose from nowadays.
Staff were amazing, food was exquisite and setting was just beautiful.
The tasting menu, matched with champagne, was excellent. Each course tasted wonderful and looked beautiful! I am so pleased I booked.
Fabulous food and wine, fantastic view , great service - an outstanding experience!
We had long gaps between courses on the tasting menu - the restaurant was also very cold by the windows making it not very comfortable!
Loved the meal here . Wine tasting with 7 courses
Probably the nicest all round experience I have had at any restaurant.
Divine food and lovely friendly service. An interesting view.
A lovely restaurant but it was oddly empty when we visited.
An outstanding meal from the seven course taster menu - gorgeous.
Delicious wine a Barolo and an Amerone Both great Italian wines.
The views and ambience are magnificent
I’d be back tomorrow if I had the time.
Fantastic from beginning to end - service, ambiance and ultimately the food was impeccable with wine pairing to match - thoroughly recommended !!!
Very nice place for an exquisite dinner. The service is quite nice too.
We enjoyed the rabbit and the duck very much. The service could not have been better. We were attending a meeting in the Docklands and wanted to eat at at least one outstanding restaurant. The Peninsula did not disappoint!
Had a lovely time celebrating a birthday. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. i would highly recommend and i'll definitely be back.
Excellent service, very attentive and precessional whilst still being friendly and welcoming. Nice little extras such as canapés and delicious, well presented food.
Excellent menu and really nice service.
View was also really nice.
We had a lovely table nestled in the corner overlooking the river, we had the tasting menu and every course was excellent. We had an early table and the restaurant wasn’t busy but it was perfect as it was our wedding anniversary x
Brilliant food and service
was fabulous restaurant food amazing but paid for full glass champagne glass wasn't even halve full felt awkward complaining
Good view over the Thames. Travel is awkward by public transport, unpleasant walk from station and beware the O2 emptying out on your way back.
Enjoyed the 7 course taster menu accompanied by the wine flight. Server knowledgeable about dish and how wines complemented each course. Lovely experience and food was excellent.
