Great experience. Our server was thoughtfully engaged and knowledgeable. The hostess was very accommodating, we made our reservation for the wrong day and she was very polite and got us seated a little before the quote.
Food was delicious!! We opted for tapas style. Great presentation, hot, delicious, innovative with a delight of flavors, textures, meats and sauces. Do the face bacon, and the marrow, and the pork belly, and the pig feet, and the pig tails, and the sausages 😊
Our waitress was excellent in giving recommendations. The food was superb and very tasty. Service was very efficient.
Our second visit to The Pig, the food and service were both outstanding on each occasion.
Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves food.
Dawn was amazing!!!!!!
Food was outstanding. Service timely and affable. Very professional
Excellent service and delicious food. I really like this restaurant!
Had a fantastic experience at The Pig! The service was spot on and the craft cocktail drink menu was just right. We ordered the pork chop and the piccata, both of which i would order again. A definite must for a nice night out
Fun and delicious menu. Good drinks. Great for families.
Fantastic restaurant! We had a memorable night with great food and will return whenever we have a chance.
I went for the Mac & cheese, which was delicious, but was only available as a side and the portion was tiny for the price. the grits were great. fries not so much.
Good coofee, yummy, bf loved his pig slam cutting board special. Will come back, when in town
Always delicious food and drinks! I really appreciate that they have a yummy gluten-free bun so I can have a breakfast sammie at brunch. The Bloody Mary is really spicy!
Ribs were very very dry and the sauce on top reminded me of ketchup.
We went for brunch and very happy we did. They have a great special which includes a nice selection of mimosas and bloody Mary’s of which I chose the Bourbon Bloody and it was the best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had!! Then came the face bacon which was so different and really good! I am glad I did my 10k steps that day thou;) fun place I plan to return for a dinner soon!
The food was fabulous, but the bartender (Ethan) had an attitude:(
The pork chop was by far the most amazing chop of my life! It was moist and tasty and perfectly cooked.
The name of the restaurant was too much to resist and I am so glad we went. I will definitely go back next time I am in WDC.
We enjoy The Pig every time we go! Highly recommend!
It was great as always! Definitely one of out favorite spots in DC.
The food was great. The drinks not so much. A “jug” is 30 bucks. It easily the same as 2 glasses of water. Great place to take family, but not the greatest for a a Sunday Funday before returning to work on a Monday! I’d bring granny and Moms here:)
We had a very pleasant brunch at The Pig. Entrees were excellent, biscuits and gravy especially tasty. The starter cinnamon roll was ok, but not worth the calories. The Bloody Mary with bacon is a winner. Nice that we were not rushed. Will be back.
What a fantastic place! The atmosphere was perfect for a place focused on pork. The decor from the barn wood walls to the porky pig wall paper in the restroom set the scene for the perfect ambience. But don't be fooled by the seemingly informal look, the food is amazing. We had the face bacon burger, the pork tenderloin steak and the Shank. Tender and perfectly seasoned, matched sides and excellent presentation made each meal an experience. Our server was very knowledgeable and extremely patient and polite. Overall, a great experience!
Great, creative food. Very fun, casual vibe. Server was passionate and knowledgeable. Get the Face Bacon! All hail pig!
Amazing as always. A tradition when we come to DC. The menu is great, the service is great and it was easy to book a reservation and they were kind enough to add when we had extra people arrive.
Made the reservation, hostess said she corrected it, received email from Open Table.
Great good and good atmosphere. I would recommend this place for a date night or special occasion.
We went to this restaurant with high expectations. When you walk in, the ambience is pretty amazing. Good music, incredible decor. And the smell, absolutely fantastic. We were seated at a table by the front of the restaurant, just in front of the main windows. Our waiter at first seem pretty great. Unfortunately, that was the end of the great experience. It took about 15 minutes to get water, it Was double that to get a Diet Coke. Our appetizers took 35 to 40 minutes to arrive. Our total experience is one hour and 45 minutes long, it took forever to get our food. They asked about food allergies, mine was to garlic. They were two things on the menu that I could eat which did not contain garlic or where the garlic can be removed during the preparation. He brought me the burger, with the sauce that contain garlic. Fortunately, I asked if that was the sauce that should’ve been removed and of course, his answer was yes. They did not charge me for my meal but to be honest, by the time it arrived I wasn’t hungry anymore. Everything simply took too long. I do highly recommend the pumpkin pie with this Moore’s. It was pretty tasty. It wasn’t very busy, I was very disappointed that it took so long to stay there and eat.
Seven gal friends went to The Pig for the first time, and seven fans came out! Superb food from the brussels sprouts starter to the on-theme bacon-garnished cannoli, and superfun cocktails. Plus, our waiter John kept things moving at just the right pace, never rushing anything, but never keeping us waiting, and handled a couple special requests in the best possible way. The scene here is lively, but not overwhelmingly noisy...perfect for catching up over such great eats. Even the host was great—when I called ahead to see if they could add a person to our reservation, he followed up with a quick email to confirm the change. Terrific experience all around...can’t wait to go back!
I am sure the place is better when it's not Restaurant week. Also I felt that the Porchetta entree could have benefited from an acid component like a drizzle of apple cider vinegar glaze/reduction.
Also the bar seats are not comfortable for long term sitting.
Food awesome. Just needed more comfortable chairs for our 2 hour dinner
The food was awesome and our waiter was very helpful when it came to ordering our drinks and food.
I would definitely go back the next time I am in D.C.
The food was so delicious - some of the best we've had in all our travels. The pork chop is worth the trip alone!
Overall was pretty good, but the grits which are a flagship item, were mushy and kinda tasteless. Beers were kinda expensive for lunchtime ($9).
Beet salad was amazing and the pork chop was over the top. Had some good beers with it and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend.
A wonderful meal with attentive service from John, our waiter.
First visit to this restaurant. Service was great, ambience really nice, and it was just 5:30pm so it was not noisy. Problems with the food however. We ordered a burger and half rack of ribs. The most shocking and disappointing were the french fries that came with the ribs. They definitely were not fresh. The restaurant that just opened, so the only explanation was that the fries were leftovers. They had zero moisture, chewed like cardboard and were flavorless. The kind of thing if you took fries home in a doggie bag and tried to eat them the next day, really unappetizing. Along with the ribs, we expected french fries to be one of the best parts of the meal. Did not complain since we were extremely hungry and there wasn’t enough other food to eat while waiting for fresh ones. Half rack of ribs maybe slightly smaller than hoped for, but they were good. The hamburger was small, about five bites. This restaurant has good reviews and has been around a long time so the only explanation is maybe the cook hadn’t arrived yet and these were partly leftovers. How the kitchen served them I’m not sure. My lesson learned: don’t go really hungry to a restaurant you’re not sure about, if something in adequate comes out, there’s no time to make up for it.
Went to meet friends. The service was great. Our server knew the menu and was not afraid to make recommendations. Start with the big pig. It is big and excellent mix of meats and cheese. Pickles made in house are fantastic. We had the pork chop Brussels Cesar salad and the bbq ribs. All were very good. Sides also very good. Very reasonable price. I am looking forward to returning.
The Pig was great. Fun atmosphere. Really great food. Service was excellent.
Delicious food, welcoming atmosphere and family friendly!
Very good! Awesome selection of whiskey and fantastic menu selection. Would definitely return.
Great execution and a fabulous meal from start to finish. A fresh menu created by a truly talented chef. A neighborhood gem! Highly recommend!
