The Potters Arms
We have just built a terrace bar which will be open for brunch and crepes, coffees, Ice Cream, Slush Cocktails & Pizzas.
Bill the Head Chef at The Potters has come in and taken over the position and his idea is that The Potters Arms being a Classic British Pub, our Menu should replicate that with lots of homemade pub classics, however with his culinary skills he will introduce a Daily Specials Menu that will be superb quality.
- Surfaces sanitised between seatings
- Common areas deep cleaned daily
- Digital, disposable or sanitised menu provided
- Sanitiser or wipes provided for customers
- Contactless payment available
- Limited number of seated diners
- Distancing maintained in common areas
- Extra space between tables
- Waiting staff wear masks
- Diners must wear masks unless eating or drinking
- Sick staff prohibited in the workplace
Good choice of food which was well cooked. We felt it was completely Covid-19 safe.
Good pub meal...burger was a good choice and the calimari was delicious. All of our table had a nice meal, so very consistent.
Food was great and plenty of it! Service was a little slow to start but improved. Think this was probably due to current restrictions given the pandemic.
Good meal in lovely surroundings enjoyed the venue very Covid aware would revisit in the future 👍🏻
breakfast served cold on a cold plate . Shower far too small, not properly cleaned, towels too small.
Great service, lovely atmosphere. Beer was as good as always. Food was fantastic :)
It is a typical village pub with nice atmosphere even when full capacity.
We have been to the Potters three times in the last two week, as always great food, staff personable and we will definitely return
Always caring and thoughtful service and the tastiest food
We were a party of 4 and had a meal in the garden. The staff were friendly and helpful and we all enjoyed our food.
Potters Arm, great pub, great food, great value, great service, excellent environment, nice setting.
One night stay with dinner. Great pizza and Thai curry.
Very good food, staff friendly and helpful. Not too busy, so felt perfectly safe with all their Covid precautions.
Nice quiet setting, pretty and spotless garden, very clean inside, value for money and Covid measures excellent! Sanitizer on every table, nice staff. Lovely pub!
AMAZING. I ate an entire rack of ribs which were the best I've ever had. My sister had the pie which was almost amazing. Staff super friendly!! Also had the thai starter, HIGHLY RECOMMEND. All round, best pub I've ever been too.
We enjoyed our meal at 5.45 when it was quiet. Surprised that a drinks menu was not available though!
Very nice atmosphere in a traditional pub. Good food with generous portions. Attentive staff and overall an enjoyable experience. Will visit again.
Great location and friendly staff.
We all enjoyed our food 4 of us four generations ranging from 85yrs to 2 years old.
Very pleasant breakfast experience mainly. One of the pancakes ( ordered 2) was cold but still enjoyable.
Very busy day, so staff very stretch, however there was lots of them. We did have to wait a long time to be served & between courses. Food was only ok.
To long a wait for starter - 45 minutes. Had to complain to owner. Food average. Wine good.
Food was very good, staff pleasant and a thoroughly good experience in these troubled times
Very nice meal.
Very good service
Little bit too near to ther tables tho
Three menus on a Friday night - maybe trying to cater for lots. Friendly staff. No vegetables with the pie, just mash- despite the menu. Good was a bit basic
Had visited before and was disappointed to see a much reduced menu. Food however was good and enjoyed our visit.
A most enjoyable evening with friends - good food, good service and good COVID-19 precautions in place
A popular haunt and always good value for the money. Portions very generous.
Had a lovely breakfast. There was alot of choice and it was all made fresh to order. Went for dinner the night before and it was very nice. Very well run and staff are all lovely.
Nice environment and the food was very good. Lots of choice on the menu. Service was also very good. A bit noisy on this visit as there was a large group in but would still go back again.
Was looking forward to the dining out experience only to be bitterly disappointed. The welcome we received on arrival was warm, sanitisers in place and social distancing but it went down hill from there. The meals were quite simply substandard. Avoid pie of the day in particular. The Cajun chicken had too many different flavours going on none of which were nice and the creamy mash reminded me of school days along with the frozen peas. The chips, however, were nice. Maybe the 50% off government scheme was an influence (I would have refused to pay the full price in normal circumstances) but if they want return customers they need to step up, remember to serve good pub food because unfortunately we wont be frequenting there again!
Lovely menu..we chose the savoury pancakes which are all made with buckwheat flour (so gluten free), absolutely delicious! Would definitely recommend.
Very slow service. Main course fish pie was inedible.
Bit of an odd welcome - we had to ask for everything - like drinks, correct drinks, menu, and our table was sticky and not ready. However, everything got sorted, different waitress - really cheery and helpful and the mains when they arrived were superb! Gorgeous steak and fantastic Thai massaman curry. Loved them both! Had to request other drinks but that was fine.
Desserts were really disappointing - we both had homemade Eton Mess - which was a lot of whipped cream, a slightly bashed up meringue nest and a few strawberries. Definitely not worth the money.
Covid policy was good - we were quite far away from others and there was sanitiser on the table. One way system in place too.
Altogether a mixed experience.
Sorry to say that the food took too long - about an hour
The starter wasn't as ordered
We cancelled the second round of drinks as they took 20 minutes and we had finished the meal.
perhaps Monday night - chef was off?
We will still go back
Sunday Roast. Excellent service from Richard and his staff. Excellent hygiene/social distancing adhered to. Food was fantastic, on time, and not pressured to be out for next round of customers. Definitely recommend without hesitation.
Great food but we were sat in Resturant & there were dirty kitchen units & packing cases all around us. Sadly that took the nice decor to a out building look ☹️
Had a lovely evening here with a family party of six. Everything was great. The only small quibble is the Pizza base is quite thick and would prefer it to be thin and crispy.
The outside area is fantastic but you need to arrive early to be sure of a table.
Generally good. Our booked table was evidently occupied and we were offered a bench in the car park in full sun, but opted for a high table with stools instead.
This was our first time at the Potter's Arms, we were tempted by the government eat out scheme. The outside was very well done with plenty of tables and sunshades/rain covers and heaters. Beautiful plants and lighting too. The landlord was very friendly and helpful. The table was wiped down thoroughly in-front of us on arrival (very reassuring!) and staff were very attentive and helpful. Tables allowed for social distancing. We had pizzas from the new outside pizza oven - delicious! I would highly recommend giving it a try and we will definitely be back.
Great food and great selection drinks. Lovely garden, with outside bar and snack shack. Highly recommend
