Sunday lunch was fantastic, extremely good quality and very substantial portions!!! Perfectly cooked medium rare roast beef and huge Yorkshire puddings
Food very nice, unfortunately the service was poor. Had to wait over an hour after ordering to when our food arrived at the table only to find that one of our meals was incorrect and one of the side orders didn't arrive until we reminded the waitress. Also had to remind the waitress to bring the drinks we ordered. Still got charged the 10% service charge automatically added to the bill.
The Thai food was great. The crepes were average. A bit rubbery and they used bottled lemon juice rather than fresh which was disappointing.
We had the most enjoyable meal, sitting outside in the sun at "The Potter's Arms" yesterday. Staff were friendly, helpful, patient and very professional and the food was excellent, thank you.
The whole visit was easy, trouble free and enjoyable and the location is fabulous. Will definitely visit again. Thank you for very much appreciated warm and efficient customer service.
Excellent food and service. Had the lovely Sunday roast and look forward to pizza next visit.
Fabulous welcome, service and food as always great pub
Excellent Sunday roast after a 6 mile hike. Portions were substantial which unfortunately did not leave any room for desserts 😉.
Very pleasant outdoor dining area. Main courses fine though not many I would choose myself. Eton Mess dessert, and Eton Mess crepes, strangely watery.
Amazing food and amazing service
Ate there recently and had the pizzas, but wanted to return to try the crêpes, which did not disappoint
Amazing Sunday roast, fabulous staff, great setting and stunning entertainment. A must visit
Lovely meal. Good, friendly service, great choice of food on the menu from Thai to (good) Pizza to steak, to many other pub favourites. There seems to something on there to suit any taste or fancy!
Excellent range of food - pizzas, crepes, burgers and traditional pub fish and chips, sausages, pies etc. Beer in good condition. Pricing closer to "pub" than "gastropub" level.
Lots of outdoor seating with umbrellas.
Excellent in the main, ambience was challenged as we were the only table so no indication either way hence a neutral, can imagine it would be good though.
Lovely pub lunch. The outside area is lovely and great hosts.
Had red pepper and butternut squash Wellington. very tasty. Followed up with a cheesecake which was, in my opinion, much too sweet. Service excellent.
As always absolutely amazing service from the potters. Lovely lunch & great prices!
Nice place and most of the food was of a good standard but service was really disorganised. All meals came out at different times only to find that they’d got the final one wrong. Meaning we had to wait for that one to be re-cooked and we all ended up eating at different times.
I love the outside terrace with pergolas. A nice countryside village for dining.
Service non existent. Waited ages for food order to be taken. Fish and chips the worst I have had in a long time. I don’t think the fish was fresh as it smelt and the texture was soggy. Chips OK but no salt on table. Also needed tartare sauce on plate. Very small piece of lemon. No vinegar just lots of horrible plastic sachets of sauce, mayonnaise, etc impossible to open with getting it all over your fingers. And why oh why is it felt necessary to put salad on a plate of fish and chips. Mushy peas horrible. What’s wrong with fresh peas?
Great food and fantastic service. Will be back again soon. Thank you!!
Great quick service and lovely food. Their Thai menu and pizzas never disappoint.
Friendly and helpful staff and very accommodating owner/landlord
Food was excellent. Service was good, very cold pub due to having all the doors open probably due to Covid so we just put coats on. Encountered a problem after taking payment. I paid by card for 5 of us so it was a fair amount of money and there was an issue saying the payment hadn’t been received their end. I showed them the receipt on my bank app so knew it had been debited my end. However we were just left at the table for at least 15 minutes not knowing what was happening. In the end my elderly parents wanted to leave so I went to find the manager who was on the phone to the card payment company. Still left there stood around. Not great as I left my parents sat on the car for a long time. All it would’ve taken is for someone to photograph my receipt and take my telephone number and we could’ve left without hanging around for 1/2 hour not knowing what was happening.
Still - great food and lovely long awaited meal out with the family.
Food was lovely! Plenty to choose from, e.g. Thai, pizza and general British pub food! Great atmosphere, plenty of parking!
I spent a lovely afternoon catching up with a friend in the beautiful patio area of the pub overlooking a green opposite . The food and service were great, I would definitely recommend!
The place itself is really pretty to sit outside and The food was absolutely amazing.. great choice, great price.
The only thing that let it down was the lack of customer service.
We got there and was served quite quickly initially,
But then it went downhill.. food came out at different times, there was quite a gap in between,
we weren’t asked if we wanted any more drinks, staff was nowhere to be seen to the end, they seemed really disinterested.. completely disappeared as time went on.
maybe it was just a bad time to go or they were having an off evening
We Will try again to see if it was a one off
Just fabulous, lovely service (waitress even bought us some biscuits with our tea on request! 🤩), gorgeous food, vibrant ambiance and such a pretty pub! Would 100% recommend.
We have eaten at this pub before and enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, however, Friday lunchtime fell well below our expectations. The place was not hugely busy though we understood there was a private function happening. The service was extremely slow - it took well over an hour before the pizzas and crepes arrived, and that only after speaking to the waitress. If they had arrived quickly and been hot they would have been OK, as it was they were disappointing.
Business lunch, great quite place. Hadn't done my research and "Amersham" seems a bit of a stretch. Had the halloumi salad which was good although the lettuce was a tad on the soft and soggy side. Great atmosphere and service.
Had a lovely time, friendly staff, prompt service, arrived slightly early but it was no bother, reasonably priced and delicious food.
Simply excellent. I couldn't find fault with anything.
All good but service a bit slow probably due to how busy it was for a Sunday lunchtime
The work they have put in on renovations is so impressive, and the service and food range matches this effort. Perfectly sized portions, fantastic choices, delicious meal. You can have both pub favourites as well as more adventurous meals (I had gorgeous cajun spiced swordfish, and the cauliflower kung po starter was lovely). Servers were attentive and friendly. So pleased we opted for The Potters Arms this weekend!
Excellent service and excellent pizzas. Almost too big for lunchtime! Will certainly be back.
This pub has worked hard throughout the pandemic to keep open. Their terrace out front is really lovely and it’s a great place to stop after a walk, have lunch/a drink.
Food was great.
Lovely food, very generous portions, friendly and efficient service. A great return to indoor dining!
Dirty glasses, and burnt food.
Fantastic food and drinks!
Think tables were still too close considering Covid restrictions unfortunately!
Lovely evening in busy restaurant.
If anything the table was small fir four people.
