Everything about this place is wonderful. Looking forward to our next visit.
During our trip to London we have passed two evenings at the Quality Chop House. The first evening as couple, the second evening with our children. Both evenings we enjoyed very much, the quality of the food and the preparation was outstanding, the service very welcoming. We also liked the dining room for its authentic ambiance. We would recommand this adress to everyone.
I booked an early table at the Chop House which I’ve always loved but haven’t been for years spurred on by a food writer friend’s post on Instagram @slowdownandeat (Susan Low of Delicious magazine) and we shared a steak, legendary confit potato bricks and Parmesan broccoli on top of a couple of yummy starters and an order of elegant croquettes. Too much food to finish, but tasty and the ambience is fantastic
Fantastic food and a good wine selection. Waiters had good knowledge of the dishes and drinks offerings and were very attentive. The confit potatoes were a revelation!
Amazing as usual - Thanks James for the great lunch!
Absolutely fantastic meal. Wonderful dishes and very thoughtful wine list. Service the only critique as it dropped off to the latter half though was Father’s Day so likely just a unique circumstance. Strongly recommend.
great food with lovely wine list. we enjoyed 3 plates of snacks then all had asparagus followed by guinea foul and the Barnsley chop. meat is first class. lemon tart excellent.
The food was really delicious, the service and waiters were great. Would definitely recommend
Very good food quality (other than dessert), the ambiance recalls old times and smells like old England, but the overall bill was decidedly too expensive, should be at least 20-25% less.
Great food, lovely personable but not intrusive service. Pleasant atmosphere within the restaurant not too noisy for a lunch time catch up!
This is probably my all around favorite place in London.
Had a wonderful Saturday lunch. Friendly, welcoming service, attentive but not at all intrusive. All of our chosen dishes were cooked to perfection including steak and pork. The confit potatoes were a revelation!
We found the smaller wine list adequate although a more substantial one is available on request. The set menu was genuinely amazing value yet also generous and left us all feeling full.
Farringdon seems blessed with some wonderful restaurants and this is without doubt close to the top of that list for me.
Food was amazing! Attentive staff. The seats were excruciatingly uncomfortable which spoilt the experience. Tiny shallow church pews which for anyone over 5 feet tall made sitting down for more than 15 minutes a problem. It’s a real shame as otherwise we loved it. Probably won’t return.
Superb “ nose to tail “ eating with the most delicious homemade bread ( and butter ) I’ve ever had in my life
Best roast we had, we will come here more often and bring even more friends! Really nice service, very tasty food, including the bread. You can really see they pay a lot of attention to detail especially for the food quality.
Excellent from start to finish as every experience here has been. Drinks next door in quality wines followed by a fantastic dinner and on point service.
Excellent meal as usual.
A highly enjoyable anniversary dinner at one of our favourite restaurants.
Very good food and service in a restaurant that has preserved a lot of original character which is refreshing when compared with the often 'faux' character of modern restaurant chains. Having said that 3 hours on a not particularly comfortable chair takes its toll! I fully understand that space and small tables constrains type/choice of chair that but why the need to punish one part of the anatomy while indulging others so wonderfully.
My third time having Sunday lunch here and yet another fantastic meal. I would probably go as far as saying it’s the best Sunday roast I’ve ever had. The service was impeccable, welcoming and attentive. The meat was exquisite but it was the vegetable accompaniments that I almost enjoyed more (as with previous visits)! Great wine selection too.
A lovely Sunday lunch, delightful food and staff. The lamb is out of this world!!
It really is one of the best Sunday lunches in London. Very good value for money, and an amazing low key neighborhood vibe
Brilliant staff, amazing wine & even better food!!!
Wonderful good, attentive service and great value.
Having walked past the historic Quality chop House many times, my wife and I booked in for Saturday lunch. We were not disappointed and would highly recommend the overall experience to anyone.
Dinner next. I am confident it will not disappoint.
Always amazing. Great food with brilliant service.
Great Sunday roast..highly recommend visiting this pub for a wonderful meal and service.
Wonderful. Low key high end dining - just what I love. Sommelier was a highlight - not remotely snobby about wine but one of my dining companions was a qualified expert and the sommelier handled him wonderfully (and recommended really wonderful wines).
Definitely a new favourite of mine.
We very much enjoyed our lunch. The staff made us feel welcome and it was a friendly and relaxed venue, even with a baby and a small child. The food was delicious and well priced.
Great food, combination of traditional chop house, with a hint of Gastro! Worth a visit
always excellent food and service, especially like what they do with veggies
As an aspiring vegan I was skeptical when a friend recommended choppers. But after dinner, I already booked again a few short days later for family passing through town. Everything was incredible - the authentic atmosphere of an immaculately preserved deli with original wooden booths, the wine list which wasn’t overwhelming or pretentious but had great unique wines, brilliant staff, and a bang tidy meal. This is hands down the best restaurant in Exmouth Market/Farringdon area.
Food was gorgeous and the staff are amazing . I simply love this little place
Lovely food - great quality and perfectly executed - complimented by great wine
Great home and amazing wine, would absolutely recommend this for a Saturday lunch at great value
We really enjoyed our experience at Quality Chop house, amazing food and excellent service!
We absolutely loved our experience from start to finish. The staff were very attentive but not over powering, we were at the restaurant on a Sunday so had the 3 courses for 35 which is unbelievable value for the quality of food you receive, everything was cooked too perfection and would highly recommend paying extra for the confit potato’s as they were so good. Such a lovely environment to spend our Easter Sunday.
We particularly enjoy the historic atmosphere as well as the quality of the food from a perfectly adequate limited menu. The staff excellent. Worth travelling there from Hertfordshire. Seats in the adjacent bar area more comfortable than the wooden benches in the main restaurant, maybe cushions could be available.
Went for Sunday Roast - shared the lamb shoulder for two. It was epic!
Fantastic food with wonderful service. Chops were outstanding as were the confit potatoes. Had to be rolled home after although possibly due to quantity of delicious wine drunk
I normally really enjoy it here however I think we arrived too late for a decent roast. The potatoes were soft and burnt and the gravy lacking. This would not stop me coming back however. It's still one of my faves but maybe better for a weekday / standard dinner experience
