Wonderful place and lovely staff. The food was great, quick service. The pie was amazing and a special to the ginger and date sticky toffee pudding .

Visiting Edinburgh with my husband and we wanted to try a Sunday roast. While the roast itself was decent, I would say what makes this place awesome great visit was the staff and the fun atmosphere. On Sunday nights they play trivia with those willing to participate and the whole place has a fun buzz. Happy we tried this place!

We had reservations and arrived early. We informed the host that we were going to sit outside and have a drink beforehand. We went into the restaurant at our reserved time and the host said our table was given away. Instead he seated us in a small area right next to a large, loud group and said he’d return and move us if it was a problem. He never did. We asked our waiter to move us which he did. Never saw the host again. Food was subpar. Service not great. I’d go for a drink but nothing else. Definitely a tourist trap.

Very helpful staff when we called to alter our table number. They called back to confirm as well. From arrival, the restaurant is lovely, with a welcoming and friendly ambiance. We loved our booth and it made such a special family occasion. Food was excellent and roast beef served to medium rare perfection. Very friendly and efficient serving staff without rushing us. Thank you
