Cibo e birra ottimi, servizio cordiale. Bella la location 👍
Excellent for a pre theatre meal as is very near the theatre.Old world charm
Service was a bit slow- we waited 35 mins for our food - and we were well outside the lunch rush. They’re supposed to be famous for their pies - but it’s the fish and chips that looked amazing.
Really good food and service. Excellent value
The food and service was stellar. Ambience was precious
Il locale é veramente delizioso, io e il mio compagno siamo rimasti veramente soddisfatti, hamburger e carne di lombo veramente ottimi, e i camerieri simpaticissimi, super consigliato!
Great place, fantastic food, service well and beyond fantastic. The 8 pm entertainment made the whole evening a wonderful experience. Would recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat.
An excellent place, with great food, service and atmosphere. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back.
we enjoyed our meal before going to the theatre. Service on one dish was a bit slow - though we were warned we wonder why as it was a relatively simple salmon dish.
We chose this simply on the basis of its location as we had an early show at the Piccadilly Theatre. Now we know it exists we will return. The Queens Head is an independent historic pub one minute from Piccadilly Circus. Upstairs is a quiet restaurant with lovely staff. The menu includes pre-theatre options keenly priced and a good selection of vegetarian options too. Pies are a speciality. We had a vegetarian pie with mash and veg-good pastry and tasty filling-pub fare updated for modern times. Also salmon beautifully cooked. We noticed others eating huge portions of fish and chips too. The cheese comes from Paxton and Whitfield and the drinks are good too. Happy to recommend it.
We visited this lovely pub after a matinee at the theatre. Although it was quite busy downstairs, the restaurant upstairs was very peaceful. Service could not have been better and the food was yummy.
Terrific food, tasty beers, great value
The BEST Pie's in town! Everyone at my table ordered a different one some with meat, some without, all fantastic!
Le personnel est aux petits soins, les plats sont copieux, très bon endroit, belle découverte
Service and ambiance , classic London ..love this place, look forward to it every time I’m in town
Special mention for the biggest Fish and chips that we have ever seen .
All seams home made.
Very good expErience. For children, 1 fish and chips for two would be enough... (pour children are 8 and 11)
Great restaurant. Excellent food and service. Not very crowded upstairs given its location which was wonderful.
All three of us had the Beef and Ale pie and it was excellent. We were booked in at 6 as we were going to the theatre and the service was good but unhurried. I would certainly happily recommend this place.
The service was fantastic and the food was delicious
Ottima qualità, bell' ambiente e prezzi per gli standar londinesi onesti
Good honest food, friendly service and a warm atmosphere. Great value, would definitely recommend
Fish & chips and the pies are amazing. A pleasant surprise for the location. The food is amazing - must try while in London.
Outstanding pies, good beer, great location, friendly staff, not too noisy. Thoroughly recommend it.
A lovely meal - great gluten free options clearly explained - friendly staff - not rushed - would recommend
Lovely independent pub, good bar with quirky seating and a nice atmosphere.
Tasty, wholesome pub food. We had the pies, steak and chicken as they were recommended and
we enjoyed them. The dining room is lovely and feels like a private venue.
A good find in central London, away from the crowds but just off the beaten track, that feels authentic and is worth a visit.
Great place to meet a friend from out of town for a catch up. Steak & ale pie and mash was delicious, beer lovely, nice little restaurant upstairs a haven of calm and shelter from the crowds below, to talk without having to raise our voices. Really liked that it's an independent pub doing well too, and they say they use local suppliers and ingredients - would have been nice to know who these are.
Good food. We ordered sparkling wine but received champagne, they charged us the lower price.
Food took a bit longer then expected, but the waitress kept us informed and discounted the bill as compensation. Quite a small dining area, so suggest booking at busy times.
Staff where very friendly
Good traditional pub food
Very handy for the Piccadilly theatre just next door
We live this resataurant and their good, inventive, honest cuisine. Wonderful dinner pies. Cozy, not too loud, not too big. Expansive, friendly service. We try to come here for dinner when we are in town. Great fir a date or dinner with friends. What it is not is formal. Great food, great value. I shouldn’t have told you
Good place for fish and chips
Good experience. Had lunch alone in business trip.
Nice room, friendly attentive staff, but food is lacking. Probably fine to go grab a drink, but for dinner I would go elsewhere.
Cena con bambine alla fine di una giornata “turistica”. Tutto buono!!!
Good honest good. Staff attentive and friendly. Fab beer.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Very attentive, service and food were amazing!!!
We met up with some friends from LA who wanted to try typical British food and they loved this place. Great fish and chips and pies!
Main course very nice and nicely presented. Dessert was delicious very good value for money
Enjoyed some fine cuisine in an authentic and historic setting before the theatre. Cheeseboard and fish and chips were lovely and a great value as well. Very small restaurant so recommend reserving a table.
The food, ambience, and people were superb. I was able to get authentic English pub experience.
Lovely meals- can recommend tha lamb and pea pie & fish and chips. Staff excellent and so helpful with husband’s dairy allergy. Would definitely recommend
