Queens Head is my local pub, short walk from home. Friendly atmosphere, good food, reasonably priced. Menu changes according to season, always something new to try. Worth a visit.

Nice pub with friendly helpfull staff. The food was freshly cooked and ok but very uninspiring. The menu was limited with pie, fish or burger and not much on the specials board, and a little over priced for pub food.

Lovely country pub with very welcoming staff. However found the vegetable korma curry a little disappointing as it contained mostly potato.

rare to find a proper pub that retains its character and charm AND has a great pub menu and quality food. Friendly service, great range of beers, cosy ambience and nice gardens front and rear.

Wonderful venue for a family get together. Food was really well cooked and I would highly recommend the Queens Head. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Great selection of meals especially the traditional food. Great quality of food and extremely tasty.

Had 3 sausage and mash, 1 sausage was freshly cooked and very nice the other 2 were hard skinned, drying and possible reheated from a previous cooking. Not at all good.
The other 3 meals were OK.

Staying at nearby caravan park for the weekend and knew the Queens Head was only a short walk away. Efficient on-line booking system before we left home and table ready for us at allotted time. Good choice of ales and enjoyed a local one. Friendly and efficient service and I have to say, the nicest chips I have ever eaten. We enjoyed our mains and desserts although, my only criticism, the syrup sponge pudding I chose was a dissapointment. Child's portion (the ice cream scoop was larger) and with only the barest hint of syrup, making it a tad dry. At £5.95 for desserts, my expectations were higher. That apart, a venue I would definitely return to if I was in the area.

This is the second time I have eaten here with family and friends and I am impressed with the new management team they are improving each time we visit. The meal was excellent and the young waiting team did a good job. Will certainly be back.

Following a really positive experience of the pub several weeks before, I thought I would recommend it to a friend on a night out.
Unfortunately it was far from positive as my friends meal was almost cold and the service was non existent! When my friend pointed out that her food was cold the manager just shrugged it off and offered no apology or gesture. We were not offered a dessert menu until we pointed this out....and then he just asked if we wanted one! Got the feeling he just couldn't be bothered with us. Won't be going back.
