Our water was fantastic. We told him what we wanted and he delivered. Delicious.
Very creative menu. Deserves the praise for that. Service lax, slow, non attentive.
Food was outstanding, the lamb shank was delicious. Couldn’t have asked for better service or food; a fantastic night out
Exquisite food in a beautiful room with exceptional service. We could not stop smiling from the moment we walked in.
We had the most amazing meal here; probably the best in London! We did the beer tasting menu - so glad we did. The food was amazing, and so was the beer. The service was outstanding!
Excellent all round service, great food and attentive staff
I had a good time at Quilon on Friday 21 June 2019 and will definitely return. There is a good vibe about the place, not so loud so one can easily have a good or romantic conversation. The food was excellent every thing we had was good - the mini dosa, fish peeri, lamb biryani, fish curry. The dessert we complained the cake was too much - (better complain for too much than too little) and thats simply because we had overeaten. The only reason I give the service a 4 star is because i stressed no coriander albeit I understand most of the Indian meals come precooked with coriander but my biryani still had some garnished coriander which i removed and still enjoyed the food. Overall a good restaurant, good waiters and a place to treat someone special. To the staff and chefs - well done and please keep up the good service and food quality.
I had vegetarian tasting menu. It was a great review of typical Indian food. I enjoyed it very much.
It was much more of quantity that I would expect from tasting menu, so I left really full.
The tasting menu is amazing!
We dined here on the good advice of a friend and would highly recommend to others! Excellent service and very authentic southern Indian food.
Everything about this place is fantastic. Authentic food, great service and attentive staff
Really good food. The gussi curry could have been a bit more spicy but absolutely loved mango curry ..mso refreshing. Very fresh ingredients used. Would definitely come back. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Not Michelin quality. Expensive for what you get. Service was good.
Outstanding Southern Indian seafood. Exemplary service. Comprehensive wine list. Hard to imagine how it could be any better!
Excellent service and first class Indian meal. We enjoyed our tasting menu with superb presentation - so delicious !
Awesome all the way around. Food, service, setting all of it 5 star. Beyond recommend.
Excellent Indian cuisine from a region of India u available in the USrx Excellent friendly service
Been to Quilon multiple times and in the standards seemed to have slipped. The service was pretty lacklustre but the food was a real disappointment. The starters were cold to lukewarm and the main courses were warmer but still didn’t taste particularly taste. It’s within Quilon's gift to charge what the market will bear however unless it takes quality back to previously levels they will have a tough road ahead.
It was a perfect venue to celebrate my son getting his Duke of Edinburgh award at Buckinham Palace. It has character ambience and the location is very central. The food service and atmosphere was excellent and all part of a perfdct day.
Food is mouth-watering yet good value! Wine list is most impressive though a bit on the pricey side (go for the Le Reserve Shiraz or Cabernets from India - yummy!). From the pre-dinner appetisers to post-dinner chocolates, always a memorable experience and highly recommended...
Fantastic! The seafood and the non-meat tasting menu was phenomenal and the wait staff were attentive. The desserts were delicious (pistachio cake w black sesame.) A dinner that we will remember.
Very different version of Indian food. Lovely service, great value.
tasting menu was perfect for our group. Service was outstanding. Wine list was varied and reasonable.
Don’t mistake this for an inexpensive tikka masala sweat shop. This is haute cuisine, that happens to specialize in Indian food. Honestly, my best experience, ever, in an Indian restaurant. I have only redundant superlatives to express how good this place is. A special evening and thanks to all.
Everything about lunch was fantastic. We had an early table at 12.15 and were the first there. The food is lovely (the tamarind chutney and chilli cauliflower were my standout dishes). The service was smooth, efficient and friendly. We passed on dessert but after we had sat chatting for ten minutes they brought us three flavours of frozen yoghurt as a gift. We loved the whole experience.
Everyone was so kind!!
Great for business dinners—quiet with exceptional food and service.
First time to The Quilon and decided for the seafood tasting menu with wine pairing as there were a number of very good looking food items. We were encouraged by the server who was very welcoming when we sat down and highlighted that the tasting menu items are seasonal. The cadence of courses and quality were excellent - very well trained staff who explained each of the dishes and wine pairings in detail. The plating was very good and highlighted the quality of the place. The spice was medium which gave a nice warm feeling but very manageable overall to enjoy the aqua lite of food. Would highly recommend this place for a special occasion, business meeting or quality Indian meal.
I’m not a fan of Indian food. However, The Quilon gave me a different thought. Service is excellent. Seafood is quite delicious because I’m not used to some of Indian spices. Overall, everyone should try it!
IT was all ok, few good dishes but generally just fancy Curry imo
Fantastic restaurant! We took my mum there for a birthday celebration, and we were all very pleased. Great service , beautiful restaurant, delicious food & amazing cocktails! South Indian with a twist. Well done team Quilon!
I'm not sure whether I would recommend Quilon. The food was mostly very good, but quantities were hugely variable. We'd taken a group of eight friends after a concert. We ordered a selection of different main courses, despite being encouraged to order starters as well, but it was late, and we didn't want a lot to eat. This was just as well, because the two people who ordered lemon sole got the smallest piece of fish you have ever seen. I was quite embarrassed by this, because it was £21, and my neighbour, who had ordered it and who has a good appetite, was clearly worried that he had only a small amount to eat. We all gave him anything extra we had (rice, mainly), and he managed, but to be offered a tiny piece of fish and then have to pay £21 for it was very disappointing. I have had no problems with Quilon in the past, and like the restaurant very much. The service is always excellent, and the little extras they add are lovely. So this was a shame, and will make me reluctant to return.
I’ve been to Quilon twice now and the food is always spectacular, but the service both times was incredibly slow. The last time I went we’d been there almost an hour and a half before our entrees came, and that was after we requested they be brought out. As a result we ended up having to rush our meal because a few of us had to leave to make appointments. I highly recommend the restaurant for the food and ambience, but advise that you budget at least 2.5-3 hours for the meal, which can be difficult to do during a work day.
Disappointing meal. Indifferent service for much of the night. Tasting menu was inconsistent.
Amazing restaurant. Wonderful food and impeccable service. Definitely will return
It is my favourite Indian restaurant. The service is outstanding and the food is delicious. I definitely recommend it.
Lovely food, authentic South Indian dishes. It was however a business meal which is attached to a specific spend per head. It was tough to work out costs as this is not evident on the website menu to manage this well.
Perfect date night location and atmosphere. Service was quick and attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. Several tasting options and a good variety of small plates if you want to try a bit of everything. Flavor was delicious! Especially the lamb appetizer and the scallion pancake? Would definitely return.
Very friendly welcome and friendly, helpful staff throughout the evening. Really excellent service. Ambience is spot-on too, not too noisy, good lighting, good spacing of tables. We had a table for two sat side-by-side, which we really loved - we normally try and sit this way in restaurants whenever we can anyway, but this usually means sitting on one side of a table for 4, which isn't always possible. Great to see they offered this option - so much better to be able to sit close and talk to your partner without to lean across a table.
We had the seafood tasting menu, which had plenty of variety across the courses and presentation. The first few courses, in particular, were absolutely outstanding. The only minor criticism is the main course (curry) and dessert were not quite as good as the first few courses.... but that's only because a very high bar had been set. Cocktail menu is terrific too, with some really wonderful and unusual cocktails. Our favourite was "The Queen of the Damned", with apple sour and liquorice. Really lovely!
