The Red Coach Inn
We have been coming to the Red Coach Inn for at least 50 years and it is still as delightful! Thank you for keeping the charm and excellent food that existed way back then. We will be back for sure!!!
Way overpriced. Lousy selection of beer for a place trying — with limited success — to imitate an English pub restaurant.
The patio of the restaurant was a lovely place to spend a summer evening with a view of the upper falls and a view of the fireworks. The indoor dining room is a little dreary. The food was not bad but not great. The service was okay.
No issues! Great location! Service and atmosphere were very enjoyable. The food was delicious and the prices fell in line with other establishments. Would recommend and visit again...
My wife and I went to this restaurant while visiting Niagara Falls recently for a convention.
It hit all the marks perfectly. the old inn was very nice and historic, and we loved the comfortable chairs.
The food and presentation was terrific, and conversation was easy with very little background noise.
I must also point out that Lindsey and Stefanie ( our servers ) were very attentive and enthusiastic.
Don’t be fooled by the “Rapids Room” there is no view of the rapids. Through the trees you can see a small area of water flowing to the rapids. Service was friendly but slow. It took a long time to get a server to our table and a long time to get our drink order. Once the food started coming the paved picked up the food servers did a great job. Waiter never checked back in to see how we were doing.
We enjoyed our lunch at the Red Coach Inn! The service was great; the food delicious & the ambience was perfect! We had a view of the Falls from our indoor porch table! The staff was amazing , caring & very helpful with all our questions on the area and calling us a taxi to go back to our hotel! I will return when in the are & recommendation to all! Thank you!
As usual the waiter took our drink order first. Then he came back and took our dinner order. Still no drinks. He came back two more times with bread and then soups. Still no drinks. Finally right before we got our dinner the drinks arrived. The dinners were okay, steak was underdone and fish was just warm. The upside was the delicious cheesecake.
Food was wonderful. The guests dining next to us seemed to think it was important to use their cell phone for a social call during dinner which is unacceptable IMHO. The wait between appetizers and main course was too long. The windows need to be cleaned. There were several flies in the dining area which are unsanitary and a nuisance while eating (we understand this is difficult to control).
This was our first visit to The Red Coach Inn and our first impression was outstanding.
We used the online reservation service and had no problems. The service was excellent as was the food and ambience. We will definitely return on our next visit to Niagara Falls.
By far one of the best meals I've had in travels all over the USA. Would most definitely recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great meal in a great atmosphere in the Niagara Falls vicinity.
Food was excellent and fairly priced and the decor truly evokes the charm of an old English inn. Service, however, was amateurish at best. Entrees were served within five minutes of the appetizers which we'd barely started. No bread service with dinner. On clearing the entrees, the server flatly asked "anything else tonight?" with no suggestion of dessert nor mention of the birthday I'd noted on the reservation. One server's voice carried obnoxiously loud through the room as she informed guests that tips could not be processed on (hotel) room charges and would they please tip in cash...how awkward for a guest who doesn't carry much cash while traveling. I hesitate to use the term "tourist trap" on such a fine establishment, but my experience there screamed it loud and clear. The restaurant's marking me as a no-show in OpenTable (generating a rebuking email about not cancelling properly) when we showed up and were seated on time confirmed for me management's ineptitude and my decision to never return.
The food is great. You can feel that it is made by chef. We really enjoyed dining at this restaurant.
The best restaurant we experienced in Niagara Falls NY.
The food was simply the best! We were an hour late for our reservation, but they still found a place for us. My favourites are Finger Lakes Pear salad and Scallops Florentine. The atmosphere was very relaxing, service was great. Special thank you to our servers Allana and Nikola. Can't wait to come back.
Our family enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and the staff. They were very personable and helpful with the selection of the meal. Accepting of children and also private so couples can enjoy a private get together. Inside seating and patio seating available.
The Red Coach Inn was absolutely wonderful! Food was delicious! Staff was courteous and efficient! Coffee was perfect! Would return, and recommend!
The only quality restaurant in Niagara Falls, NY. Good service, quality food, great atmosphere in a run down city.
Presentation of food was excellent. But no one cared for food
The food was good not great. The service was horrible. We were the only couple in a large room with a manager sitting at a table across from us and we were never offered refills. After our food was delivered we weren’t checked on until we requested the check. We always stay for dessert but not this time.
Very nice, loved the place! Well situated to the falls, a bit of a car ride, but worth it.
Food was delicious. Service was great. Waiter was very nice and attentive. We sat outside and were able to listen to the water from the falls which was amazing. We also were lucky enough to catch the fireworks show from our table. Very romantic.
I have been to restaurants with Michelin stars whose food was not nearly as well made. The ambience was lovely and romantic. Based on the service and decor I would fully expect there to be a dress code, however there is not. The service was simply perfect, formal, but not stiff, and the staff were all friendly and clearly at least enjoyed their jobs. My fiancé and I will be back the next time we are in Niagara.
Great food and wait staff.
Great ambiance, excellent wait staff and the food was exceptional. We had a wonderful time.
We were served in a timely manner and courteously. We had a table which gave us a view of the rapids.
Satisfactory meal and service until presented with check in an American Express folder—and told they refuse to take my AmEx card. Embarrassing and not cool.I will not return.
The problem with tourist towns is that there aren't any regulars. And I think the waitstaff and management know you are never coming back and so the service reflects this. We chose this restaurant because it has been around since 1923. It was a lovely day and the patio was full, but the host placed us in the inner area, away from windows. We asked to move to the brighter room and while he allowed it (the restaurant was quite empty) I got the idea it was somehow inconvenient. We had two waiters (one training the other), but my second glass of wine and my husband's second beer took forever to get to the table. My son was going to box up his leftovers, but no one came over so he finally just ate it. I could see if they were really busy, but they really weren't busy so I'm not sure what the issue was.
Best place in Niagara Falls, NY enjoy dining with a view.
I have mobility issues, so I asked for a table close to the entrance. We were taken to the very back. I had to stop half way to the table to regain myself, and no one didn’t seem to care that I was having a problem. I wonder what they would have done if I had a heart attack in the middle of their restaurant?
The food and service was very good.
Beautiful Patio with view of the Niagara Rapids. Great ambiance to sit out doors. Dishes are large portions perfect for sharing and great taste. Bruschetta Pasta is memorable. Service was great as well.
Cool restaurant, great server, great food.
Great service and great food The atmosphere was excellent
Great atmosphere. Fresh food and delicious. Overall great experience.
When you arrive for lunch at 1:00 and the restaurant open at 11 it is unacceptable to not have items ready. No meatloaf or Shepherds pie because no one made mashed potatoes. The waitress was very nice but should have been aware of menu items unavailable prior to taking our order. Food fair, prices high and parking 25.00 recommended going a couple blocks of the main strip food was much better and priced appropriate.
We ate outside. It was a beautiful day but I do think the outside could have been a little cleaner. The floors under the tables were very dirty and maybe they could have been swept up a bit to make for a better appearance. Food was ok and our server was very nice.
Wonderful dinner with amazing service in a quaint and historic ambiance.
Servers need training. There is more to waiting tables than sparkling (forced) personalities. General welcoming by host, seating and initial contact with waiter was abysmal. After that, it got better.
We were staying at the Red Coach Inn and the food was wonderful. The service was great and had a nice atmosphere in the porch area.
Beautiful establishment. Great service. Delicious food, perfectly prepared! Will definitely be back!
