About
I brought my mum for afternoon tea for Mother’s Day (a few days early) we got to BH and it was empty with not many staff members around. Food was brought out which looked nice! The sandwiches were a little hard though, like they were made many hours before. Cakes were nice though. I wouldn’t have paid any more than I did though
Having missed celebrating 3 out of 4 birthdays due to illness we wanted somewhere we had not visited for a while so I chose Bredbury Hall Restaurant. We were not disappointed, the food was lovely and the service was great. All the staff we dealt with were excellent and attentive without being intrusive.
Food good but just found the place we were seated at cold
I was concerned about the relatively poor access to the Dining Area for my disabled mother. There were two fairly large steps to navigate and she was really upset at having to negotiate these. Wouldn't come back I'm afraid
We stayed for dinner, bed and breakfast at Bredbury hall, the starter and sweet options were ok , however i had to pay an extra £15 for the steak option, which was quite tough. We ordered a bottle of white wine which had not been chilled, and had to ask twice for an ice bucket. Overall the food was of a moderate standard and quite pricey, i will not be eating there again.
Booked in for 6pm in The Restaurant for Sunday Lunch. Only to be told the restaurant closes at 6 and were sent through to The Brasserie. With dirty tables and a basic menu. We left and went elsewhere.
Loved everything about it Sunday lunch was outstanding definitely going back 10/10
Food was very bland and prosecco was overly priced
Our table was waiting for us when we got there in the busy bar area and not the restaurant as we expected, so it was a bit noisy. The Afternoon Tea itself was quite basic but for the price we paid we couldn't complain. We all enjoyed it and the staff were lovely.
Afternoon tea was awful..no allergen information or menu provided..service was very poor, staff were unfriendly and untrained, waited 10 mins for a cup of tea.
Based on our visits in the past we thought that the choices certainly of the main meals were
vastly reduced.
However, regardless of what we ate, the whole evening was spoiled by the fact that there were at least twelve children who were totally out of control and were literally running riot throughout the restaurant and bar areas. Whilst we realise that the parents should have had more control over these children we think it was up to the management to point out that there were other guests in the restaurant who had simply come out for an enjoyable night out. A number of diners were complaining amongst themselves and it has certainly made us think twice about re-booking.
Retaurant cannot be booked as it is closed week days.even though i had a confirmation from your site.
The staff where not there all the time and had to keep asking for things all the time
First time we went as a family celebration was fantastic. We sat closer to the pinano and not closed in a small area. The food was beautiful first time to with fantastic waiting service. The last time we went the staff were miserable and the selection of afternoon lunch wasnt as good. We will probably try this again to make sure it wasnt just a bad day.
Good food, very prompt service. Found conversation difficult whilst pianist was playing.
We were looking for a venue for a family meal in January and think we have found it.
I booked the restaurant at Bredbury hall for my mums 79 th birthday as I had heard a lot of good reviews about it , we arrived at the main entrance with the family and were ushered into the bar area and given a table . The table wasn't ready , so the waitress pushed two tables together and asked would this be ok . I queried the booking as I had booked the restaurant but she told me the restaurant was only for Sunday Lunches and they do afternoon teas in here . we accepted that and stayed seated , the table was dirty so we had to ask for it to be wiped .The service wasn't great but we enjoyed our afternoon tea and payed the bill and left . We were left very disappointed by the whole experience and it wasn't what we were promised when booking , I suggest you change your website if afternoon tea is not served in the restaurant as advertised ..feeling disappointed mrs Eileen arnold .
Unfortunately, the food served was bland and uninspired. The abience was non- existent as no-one else was dining or visiting the hall. I would recomend you try visiting in an evening... perhaps the cleaner wil have finished hoovering....
Fantastic food fantastic staff excellent place for chilling out ten out of ten
This was a great gift from my stepdaughter. I met with my friend for afternoon tea. We had a fantastic day. Lots of activity. Definitely recommend.
Good selection of meals from the fixed price menu. Food excellent, staff very courteous and efficient.
Everyone in our group of ten enjoyed their meals. No complaints whatsoever.
We got married at Bredbury Hall Hotel 6 years ago so we booked in to celebrate our anniversary. When we arrived we were seated straight away and the gentleman who served us was very pleasant and left us with the menu. The choice on the set menu was very basic ad a little like i wouldve got given in the 90's. We asked for the wine menu and when we chose one the server went off to get only to come back 10 minutes later to say they had none. We chose another and when this was brought to us it was warm and although it was placed in an ice bucket it was still warm when we started drinking it. The 2 starters, stuffed jacket and soup of the day were nice however basic. Twice while we were eating our starters we were asked if we had finished when we had clearly not. There seemed to be a certain urgency in the waiting staffs attitude. When we had finished our starters when they were cleared our main meals were served immediately. We were not happy about this as we were out to enjoy a leisurely meal not to see how quickly we could throw 3 courses down our neck and get out. I paid a surplus and had the sirloin steak. I asked for it to be cooked medium and it was really well cooked and tasty. My wife had roast beef which she specifically requested it not be pink. As it was a roast it was covered in gravy and it was only midway through the meal she noticed how pink the beef was which immediately put her off it. We thought this was very poor service and clearly just covered in gravy to disguise it was pink. Once these were finished we were given the dessert menu and again were asked several times for our choices even though we had asked for some breathing space. The desserts were nice but the general rush on serving everything to us was now wearing a bit thin. Quality of food was generally good except for the pink beef but the general choice was very basic. The service was a little over eager but polite. We did come away feeling disappointed and will probably not return.
Bland food, little choice, terrible service this is NOT a dining experience
Breadbury Hall Hotel in Stockport is a great restaurant with ambience of old British charm. Meal excellent, and waiting staff attentive, I highly recommend the Filet Steak Diane! Will return again soon.
