Very low quality food, rude service and dirty place
Everything was great. Service, food, warm welcome. Would visit again
Nice decor. Took a while to flag a waiter to order and then forgot a couple dishes, which we had to reorder. Food was good.
Always a safe bet and a great shout!
Lovely atmosphere perfect for dining in a good company and with a great choice of table and seats. I really enjoyed the brunch and the pancakes were superb!
I have come here a few times since it has been done up and always have a great time with great service.
It is a great place to take your friends and meet them for breakfast!
Highly recommended. I continue to go back time and time again because its always just so good!
Nice place with excellent food. Would recommend the eggs and pancakes
Extremely long wait for food. Food was served after more than an hour because server forgot to put the order in. No one came to take the drinks order.
Attending staff, great food!
The seating outside (in the street) could have been done better, the seating level was uneven.
Service was awful- slow, inattentive, gave up waiting for the last order which didn't arrive and waiter wasn't even particularly apologetic. Won't return despite the good food/ setting
when i paid the waiter didnt hand me my credit card, but she dropped it on the table which wasnt clean. and i had to wipe my card clean.
Brilliant service and gorgeous food and cocktails.
Booked this as a late birthday lunch for my girlfriends birthday. Upon arrival we were told we had to order within 10 minutes as the restaurant was shutting and from that point the waiting staff came over to keep chasing us to order and we were told starters and mains would be delivered at the same time! Not what I would expect.
Nice place, but not a good quality meal for the price point.
Great selection of small plates, all really tasty and complimented well
Having eaten here a few times now, I don't think I'll be returning in the first instance. The service was OK, we were given the wrong menu though so that was a little frustrating when you've already made your choice etc. Overall, everything was just OK so value for money isn't there for me. My friend had avo on toast, and the toast was really burnt. It's the third time things have been so-so, so for that reason I won't return anytime soon.
Ironically the friend I went with had a £40 voucher for when she had visited with others a few years ago and encountered bad service.
The price of the food did not match the value of the food.
Great location, decent food, would definitely come again
Hi Matas, We can't wait to see you soon, thanks for the lovely feedback. Anna
This seemed to be the place to go for a brunch get together and the menu was primarily focused on that. There were endless choices for breakfast and eggs / pancakes for lunch. I went for the skewers menu having just had breakfast and it was very tasty.
The service was excellent and there was a lively atmosphere with a great buzz. Definitely recommend!
The food was tasty, we both had the chorizo hash but thought there was perhaps too much potato and not enough chorizo so it was a little dry and stodgy.
The service was great and really friendly and the atmosphere was cool.
I would definitely go back and try something else on the menu.
Scrambled eggs was really excellent. Cinnamon donuts less so but nice enough.
Hi, Thank you so much for the great comment about the scrambled eggs. Anna
Service is erratic, very friendly and full on, with periods of being ignored and forgotten.
When I booked through Open Table to system only gave me the option of outdoor seating but when we arrived the place was quite empty and we got a nice table inside. We went for brunch. I had kedgeree that I would call the health food twist on the dish covered in sprouts and not much haddock so not the creamy dish I look for. My daughter had the pepper stew which was so heavy with Cayenne that after the first mouthful it was not pleasant. My son’s scrambled eggs was decent enough. To make up for the disappointment I ordered the malted pancakes that came very quickly and were nicely thick with a large dollop of clotted cream. The texture though was quite stodgy and there was toasted coconut that overtook any other flavour.
The decor is very nice and service was quick
Great brunch menu, with good juice and coffee selection
Thanks for the lovely feedback Bill. Anna
Booked for late breakfast , party of 4 ,very happy to go here again
Breakfast menu was very nice ..
Cool. We're super glad you liked and catch you soon again. Anna
Lovely setting and staff really nice with the baby when they came over to us. However had to ask for a menu after 40 mins in there (front of house apologised when they realised) and had to chase service multiple times. Asked for a flat white and brought me a cappuccino twice by mistake, which in the end I just accepted but they apologised and gave it to me for free for getting it wrong. Eggs with salmon and hollandaise on muffin were cooked perfectly. Overall I'd go back, staff were polite and friendly, just seemed a bit off that day not knowing who was supposed to be serving us by the front door.
Disappointing. Table booking was 3.30pm but restaurant closed at 5pm and the kitchen and bar closed much earlier so no desserts or coffee. The food was ok but definitely not the usual high standard we have experienced previously and come to expect here. The waiter was superb though and upon sensing our disappointment was very apologetic.
Hi Amy, Thankyou for your note. I'm sorry you weren't able to complete your meal. There really isn't any excuse for that. On Sundays our Kitchen closes at 4pm, but you should definitely have time to have dessert and coffee. I will look into this with my team to make sure it doesn't happen again. Please let me know when you would like to come back on email@example.com and Ill make sure the desserts and coffee is on me! Thanks Nick
Food wasn’t great, staff were really nice but not so attentive and forgot a number of things
Hi Cesco, Sorry you didn't enjoy your visit. Would you be able to go into a little more detail so we can make sure we are better next time Thanks
The Eggs Hussard was unavailable, as it’s the most-popular brunch item this was disappointing.
Hi there! As you said this is a very popular dish but unfortunately with supply issues of a key ingredient we were limited to the amount we had on the day. Hopefully next time you can enjoy this cracking dish
A great breakfast or brunch spot, lovely decor and location. We saw that our drinks weren't put through for about 25 minutes and the service wasn't overly friendly/diligent. Also the basement bathrooms smelt really musty/damp. I would go back but was disappointed by the service.
Hi there, Sorry we let you down on the service. Sunday was the busiest day we had since we reopened in April and unfortunately at times we had longer than usual delays on food and drink at times. This isn't an excuse but I wanted to apologise for this. Staff wise we normally get great feedback but I will make sure we make up fir it when you are next in
Visited this restaurant previously mid-week. Perhaps staff didn’t want to be there on a Sunday morning. Service was poor from an unwelcoming reception to wait staff unable to take a drinks order correctly for a table for three. Kept waiting for drinks and food order despite not being busy. Will not be back
Great choices and options, even for portion sizes. Lovely space and great latte's. First time going and would happily recommend.
Hi Laura, we're super happy you would recommend us. Thanks for the feedback. Anna
Good food but service is very slow 😞
Bad experience. Food was poor. Took 4 attempts to get my order right and then it was overcooked. Service slow. Very disappointing
Hi Leanne, Im very sorry to hear about your experience. Please would you be able to get me some more info on your booking so i can look into this please. Thank you
Love the riding house cafe! Really great food and vibe!
Good place. Been there w few times but this time food and service was a bit average. Got forgotten about a few times when asking for extra food and drinks
Hi Freddie, sorry this was the case this time. We will keep working and training the team to keep improving. Sorry we let you down on your visit this time
Lovely for lunch/brunch with friends on a Saturday in town!
It’s a great place to have brunch or lunch. 5 minute walk from Oxford Circus. The food is really good - not overly priced for what or where it is. I’d recommend it.
Thanks so much Ajei
My food was great but my friend found hers to be a bit bland. The service was very good - everyone was super attentive and nice 👍
Hi Natalya. We're glad you enjoyed the service and can't wait to see you soon. Anna
