I brought my boyfriend as a belated birthday present and to celebrate pancake day. We had lovely service from as soon as we stepped through the door until we left. Our waiter (named Ben, i think) was very kind and attentive! The pancakes are also the best we’ve ever had. Will definitely be back 😍
Always a treat and the staff especially the French manager Levi are a joy. Great food and service.
Yes. We could only have the table for 1 hour and we wanted coffee after which we ran out of time for!
Busy and pretty poor service - everything came in the wrong order - haphazard.
2nd visit. Many more to come for brunch, lunch or dinner
Does some of the best pancakes in London and always a great atmosphere
Don’t have the kedgeree. Mostly rice and you need a magnifying glass to find any fish. Sent back twice but no improvement even after a 15 minute wait.
Decided to have the English breakfast instead. Eggs were tiny ( probably from a pullet and not chicken) and bacon high.Average.
A real disappointment and expensive.
Seems to be a tourist place.
Nice decor and atmosphere, decent service, but food disappointing. Overpriced.
I really liked the place but food was ok and they forgot our orders that we had to claim.
They were overbooked and understaffed. We waited for our table, had slow service, an incorrect drinks order, overcooked food and were told they needed the table back just after we ordered some drinks! Shocking service and expensive given the food average at best.
Bon petit-déjeuner et une bonne ambiance.
Le service était à la hauteur.
Outstanding service, honest tasty food off a simple menu, reasonably priced
Excellent service. An electic menu with a good variety of choices and it certainly caters for my vegan needs. A relaxed atmosphere but congenial to business lunches.
Very unfriendly staff with attitude, not kids friendly at all (we had a 6 months old in a pushchair). We got kicked out after our brunch in a very unfriendly manner... We do not recommend this place at all
Good, not great, coffee was relatively poor for the competition in the area. Food was tasty but not brilliant
Food and atmosphere good. Let down by only one restroom being operational, which is unacceptable for a place of this size.
Love the food! Small portions though.. beer 330ml bit overpriced for 7.50GBP
Overall - love it, but if someone else is paying :) would go back
Have always loved RHC, but had a bad brunch experience this time. My wife’s shaksuka came out with raw eggs. The waiter took it to get them done some more, but when it came back out they were well overcooked. It took a few minuites to rectify the situation, but we were pleased the manager refunded all the food off our bill. Thanks for your excellent service.
Very dangerous baby high chairs
Must remove these my baby fell through the bottom of the high chair
Poor service. Mediocre food that we had to wait a long time for. Also messed up our order.
Asked for a dish without capers. Half way through dish was told they forgot and capers still in dish.
Asked for a beer that never came. Asked another 2 times to receive.
Good location, nice food!
Clean, vibrant, great service.
A bunch of our friends got together for brunch and a big catch up. They put us on a lovely sized round table so we could hear each other and speak to everyone easily which was great. The service was incredible and the menu was varied with high quality food. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
The best start of the morning! The staff was just amazing and very kind. It was my second time here and again I was very satisfied! They have the best pancakes you could ever wish for! Definitely coming back again!
Service was slow, and portion sizes need improvement!
Food options were bizarre. Far too expensive for poor food options. And quality of food was standard at best. Nice enough ambience and service, not good enough to make up for poor menu.
The pork was cold making the whole dish inedible. We complained but there was no apology and the full price was charged.
The service was amazing but unfortunately the food and drinks let it down. I had shakshuka which was quite watery and also just didn't have very much flavour and my partner had kedgeree which, for £16, was poor quality - it lacked flavour and we had to search for the haddock in it. To add to this it was also cold. The coffee was good but the cocktails we had weren't great and they weren't cheap either!
I had the crispy pork belly main. It was like warm, and soft and chewy. Given how quickly it appeared - i can only assume it was pre-prepared and just reheated. I’ll not go back.
The Riding House cafe used to be a favourite. Unfortunately, the quality has significantly slipped. The service is still excellent, the cocktails similarly are very good. However, the kedgeree was a bland bowl of undercooked rice, undistinguished fish and sad, overdone poached egg. The truffle mac and cheese – once enough for a visit – is without a hint of real truffle or even truffle oil to grace it's one note cheese sauce. The burger, which used to be an unctuous, oozing, greasy treat, has been downgraded to something resembling a Findus frozen quarter pounder – all dense meat and papery bun. Overall it feels as though the restaurant has implemented cost-cutting measures: the primary casualty being the quality of food.
Delicious food and wonderful service - lovely interior and great atmosphere - would highly recommend!
Really disappointed eggs. Attentive staff and nice ambiance just food was a real let down and unexpected given I really enjoyed my experience and the food at your Victoria restaurant.
I like this place, good buzz all week round. Some of the starters were not as tasty this time - humus and one of the pastas - but the food is generally very good.
Lovely smiling staff who were great at catering to special requirements , we very very well attended to.
Overall a great experience. Service for little slow but food was amazing. Great for all occasions, even when you want to work/study/read a book, pop in for coffee and some delicious bite.
very disappointed with the GF double egg breakfast, one slice of very small bread cut in half with 2 eggs
The waiter was exceptionally nice and the service quick and efficient. The food was particularly good, and overall the bill was relatively affordable!
Really enjoyed it, great atmosphere lovely setting & the staff could not be more pleasant
One of our dishes had to be taken away as it was far too salty & the other mains tasted like they had just come out of a bag & but in a microwave.
Despite having to wait for a replacement main, we were still reminded that our time slot was up.
Great space, really busy but we didn't feel rushed. Friendly service and surprisingly good value for this location
