Food was delicious and the service was very good, our waitress was extremely helpful.
Pancakes were cold. Good service. Had a lunch date I had been looking forward to but let down but the cold buttermilk pancakes. It would appear they had been sat waiting for a while as by the time they arrived, pancakes were cold.
Very good food and good service, it is a bit crowded and noisy but the food makes up for it!
A Polish waitress in her 40s.
So kind so genuine.
Excellent meal in pleasant surroundings. Sometimes it can be quite noisy but absolutely fine this time. The waitress was really friendly and helpful.
Asked the waitress a question about one of the mains on the menu and they didn't know it well at all and gave the wrong info resulting in me ordering something I didn't really like. Also, there was an incident where the carafe we were served had a chip in so ended up with glass in my finger with no accident report filled out and service charge still added to our bill
Great restaurant/cafe, great choice of food and the ambiance is lovely. The staff are very friendly and clearly happy working there!
Really lovely good, veggie choices were great. Service was friendly and professional.
Atmosphere was buzzy. Found it a little noisy, only issue really. Look forward to returning.
It’s a great place to meet near Marylebone. Great food, wide choice and always great service
Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and generous table allowance make this a favourite place to meet clients.
Too expensive - not good value for money
Nice service and nice setting but quite noisy
On this occasion it took nearly 45 mins to get our breakfast. Way too long!
Lovely pre-work breakfast either with friends or for colleagues / your work team. The staff were helpful and food came quickly and was tasty!
Another great lunch at The Riding House Cafe . Always relaxed with good service.
Siamo stati a The riding House perché me lo ha consigliato una mia amica che ha vissuto a Londra per 3 anni!!Per arrivarci si passa anche per China Town( suggestivo) !! Consiglio assolutamente!!
The service was very good and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their food. Well worth a visit
Food was very substandard but the service and ambience were good!
Staff were so lovely and really helpful with my daughter which made my dining experience so much more enjoyable. Will definitely be back.
Overly priced for what it is. food was nice but not outstanding.
The food and the staff were quite nice but it was just the mouse running across the floor which reappeared about 4 times was what left a real lasting impression!
Great breakfast with a good atmosphere and helpful staff.
The food was nice but i ordered a salad and most of it was just lettuce. Not sure if i can justify paying £12 for that. The cafe was really nice and the servers were really friendly but we had to ask someone if we could order and ask them for the bill as well, so i think it would have been nice if they visited some of the tables more often.
Apparently the burgers were really good so i will go for that next time.
My porches eggs portion was very small for breakfast, also didn’t like how we were abruptly told to give back the table for lunch. Had been their for an hour
Food great although bit mean with toast for shakshuka and no butter for the poached eggs on toast..
On booking I asked for a table away from draughts as I had a friend from Singapore visiting and it's been snowing!...yes they said when they phoned to confirm the booking. What happened? Given table near front door so had to ask to be moved. Tedious
Ordered two coffees...had to send each of them back at least once as they weren't what was ordered and they then took ages to arrive. They did give us the coffees free but how difficult is it to get coffee right...if Starbucks can do it why can't RHC?? Again rather tedious
Quite busy as was a Friday night. Much larger space than anticipated from the website - was given a table in the back which did have a slightly more intimate atmosphere. Meals I ordered were delicious- pretty good portion sizes. Unfortunately they had run out of the dessert I wanted even though I was eating early - disappointing! Service quite good, a little brisk perhaps but friendly. Would go back but maybe on a quieter night.
Service patchy and food luke warm. Time to find another business breakfast venue.
Food was nice as always but service was extremely bad. First, they had us waiting for 25 mins, after the time of reservation, and acted like it was very normal. As there is no waiting area we stood by the bar and were getting pushed by the waitors - to the point that one of them spilled water on my friend's coat. The moment we sat down they said to us that there was no roast left, and how we should have reserved upon arrival! (How would we know, if noone bothered to say?!)
And then the most ridiculous thing: They handed us dessert menus after our meal. Our waitor came 15mins later only to say word for word "Remember that I gave you the menus? Remember that the time was 16:15? (?!?) The kitchen was closed already, so you can't have anything but one cold thing!" We thought it was a joke - but no! It was not our first time at RHC, but it was definitely the first time the service we received was so bad. We have never experienced such attitude in a laid back place in London! Annoyingly bad!
Booked a table well in advance and we were made to wait for ten minutes before being seated- not really a problem in itself except that the receptionist just plonked us in the middle of the busy bar area so we just felt like we were in the way- each time I asked when our table might be ready he just fobbed me off or ignored me. I then asked another member of staff who was a bit more helpful. After being seated our waiter was great and very attentive- the coffee was great however the food was a little underwhelming and over priced for what it was. In particular the eggs florentine were tiny and the muffins weren’t buttered- which for the price you think they would be. All in all fair but not rushing back as the food was pretty average and over priced.
My and my friend had a fantastic late Saturday afternoon here! The food, service and atmosphere were just amazing. It was so cosy we didn't want to leave. This will probably be our new Saturday lunch venue going forward!
I've always had a great experience here. On this occasion not so good. It took too long for our order to be taken. People who arrived well after us were having their order taken before us despite politely asking if we could order. Eventually when our food came, mine (the chorizo hash) was not good. The bottom was completely burnt, the eggs were like rubber. I get this every time and the eggs are usually lovely and runny. When I asked the lady if I could please change it and showed why, again, politely, she said nothing and instead aggressively took the plate and walked off. I had no idea what was going on. My friend finished her food and 15 minutes later mine came. Again is was the same, burnt. I had a couple of bites and left it. I decided it wasn't worth complaining. I'd still go back given I've been many times and this is my only bad experience.
We had asked for a ‘nice’ table to celebrate our friends 60th Birthday and they sat us in a lovely corner of the restaurant; the food and service were both excellent. Very busy, trendy cafe in the heart of the West End. Little noisy for chatting but loads of atmosphere and quirky decor. Highly recommend and will be going back.
Food was brilliant as always (I had the burger and my friend had the kedgeree) and we were seated on a cosy table for two in a in the main restaurant which had a lovely atmosphere. The staff didn’t mind about waiting for my friend to arrive, and did not rush us at all, which is rare in London! Would definitely go back.
Terrible food - oversalted, small portions, and very expensive. RHC has sadly gone downhill.
Lovely food, cosy table. Relaxed service. Would come again Xx
Really nice place for brunch, nice atmosphere and very good portions of the menu! Well done!
Good food, priced as expected, very busy at 10.30am on a Saturday
We ate tapas style purely from the starters - great food - maybe priced on the high side for the portion size. Service friendly but lost wine order and second bottle of water didn’t materialise - however overall good experience. Would return :)
Great decor, unfortunately very noisy for a Tuesday evening. Great options and very accommodating for the vegan in our party
Great service. Great burger!
Brought a client for lunch although they work in the west end they hadn’t previously been. They really enjoyed it.
I’ve also been and say at the bar a few times. Love your brunch.
The food was good. My client liked their kedigree. Thank you!
