The meals were wonderful, however, a main dish would not be enough without a side. The total cost was a bit expensive.
Really poor prices displayed on the menu- we were charged incorrectly which was really disappointing. £20 set menu is for 2 people (you pay £40 not £20!
so the portions came and were larger than usual- its because they are for 2 people!- The menu doesn't state this.
Service is pretty slow as well- I think maybe they were short staffed.
Food was tasty and to a decent standard.
They didn't end up charging us for food for the extra food, BUT they didn't apply they discount that they have on at the moment for September- bit poor in my eyes!
I took my friend for a brunch and we really enjoyed the food and service:)
I saw table next to us receiving their order and looked so delicious that we topped our order with additional pancakes to share! Absolutely fabulous! Not mentioning lovely staff who was very attentive! Definitely will be back for more:)
Fantastic breakfast choices, portion size generous.
A lovely meal out, a nice range of drinks and food for a reasonable price. The service was brilliant and couldn't have asked for it to be better!
Friendly service, lovely food and great value even without the Eat Out to Help Out discount that they were offering.
Last of the sunshine meant that we were able to sit outside, the Covid measures both inside and out were clear with none of the tables laid up and single use menus destroyed once we had ordered. We felt very safe without losing all of the good experiences when eating out.
Very nice setting on a sunny Sunday morning, pedestrianised roads created seating outside. Unfortunately the poached eggs were cold, clearly pre cooked and then refrigerated. Annoying as the restaurant is in a nice spot...
Friendly staff & really tasty food. The growlers are great value
Although menu is more limited there is still a good choice. Service is excellent and it’s a great location for brunch/lunch or dinner.
Wonderful service and the food YUM. Always a great night
Great burger. Excellent value as part of deal. Thoroughly recommend.
Lovely ambient gorgeous evening. Food delicious and can recommend it
Lovely day to sit outside. Food was quick and reasonable
Great brunch - super tasty pancakes and fun atmosphere
Beautiful food and great staff. I would recommend.
One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Everything from the food to the service to the ambience is excellent
had a great dinner on Tues evening. Service was excellent.
Really lovely and attentive staff. Food was good and came really
Quickly. Have been here a few times and it’s always good. Breakfasts here are always good.
I enjoyed the food but I was expecting to be blown away, and it was just decent. My friend ordered the burger it was just average. Nice restaurant, big table with booth seating, good service. The hygiene can be improved. I noticed there was a bit of old tea stuck to my tea filter and the female toilets were rather dirty.
Was a nice place to catching up with friends. The food was very nice and good prices, not expensive at all. I’ll go back for sure.
Unfortunately the food was expensive and not worth it.
Small portion -I had a fry up and it was small compared to other restaurants
They also did not take my mushrooms off when I asked .
They also forgot to bring my friends chips.
Booked for 6 of us for brunch after a night out and stay over in London.... warm welcome, lovely friendly service. We had mixture of dishes and all were lovely. One wasn’t very hot so whisked off and new dish provided with big apols and fresh pot of hot crispy bacon. No one minds things not being perfect when they are sorted so graciously and efficiently. All round great experience for the morning after the night before!
great service, huge portion sizes so you might want to share!
I've always loved the Riding House Cafe and now more than ever our favourite places need our support. Excellent food (coconut chicken, sourdough and black tahini butter were both huge wins) and friendly service. Would 100% recommend and i'm going back next week,
A very pleasant experience overall . The children enjoyed and our server was beyond friendly
Serves good food in a nice atmosphere with friendly staf
The bartender was extremely rude and did not wear an adequate face mask. They sat us at the counter even though there were plenty of tables available.
Great tasting menu with exceptional value for money. Had to wait extra 15mins for table and had to ask several times for water for the table. Despite this the ambiance and and food made up for this and given the current climate and given the offer period.
We went for the set lunch menu during Eat Out to Help Out. It was clear they didn't want to offer it when we got there - we had to ask to see the menus for it ourselves and it wasn't mentioned by the waiters. Although the food was delicious, it was slightly let down by the service - all of the food came out at once so our table was completely crammed. We also paid £15 extra for wine pairings, but the glasses came out two at a time with absolutely no accompanying description of why that wine had been chosen to go with the food (one of the waitresses had actually forgotten the name of the wine) so that felt like slightly wasted money. If it weren't for the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, I would have been disappointed with the lunch overall despite the quality of the food.
The food was very average and poorly presented. Service was average - only one waiter was polite. Ambience was non existent - they need to revamp their outdoor area
Service from the staff in the bar was great. Service from their colleagues managing reservations and allocation people to tables was poor.
Despite several free seats around me (for the 1.5 hours I was sat there), my friend could not join me in the bar for breakfast when she arrived without a reservation. At the same time (and maybe due to our dissatisfaction), I was asked to leave my seat; it had in fairness been 1.5 hours so my time had "run out" - but no one was waiting for my seat and several seats around me were still free.
I experienced a low level of service-mindedness and "can do" attitude - and even a slightly hostile tone when being "thrown out".
The food and the atmosphere are great, but do not off-set the poor service.
Relaxed atmosphere and serious about the food and the service. Excellent place
Absolutely lovely restaurant in a great location. Quiet when we went and not at full capacity but totally understandable under the current global circumstances. One of my favourite places to eat in London.
Good food, nice portions, very quick service, very attentive staff, cocktails could have been better for the price.
I had Shakshuka for brunch and it was delicious.
Staff were brilliant and very friendly. It’s a really lovely space. The coffee was delicious and very strong. However the food was not good. The shakshuka was flavourless; a bland tomato sauce with giant slices of uncooked pepper and a rock hard overcooked egg. The scrambled eggs were quite dry. The quality of ingredients is clearly a priority (the smoked salmon was delicious), so it’s a shame that they weren’t cooked well.
Great service with lovely staff. We had for our starters a king prawns, fennel, sesame, Aleppo chill and trued mac & cheese, shallot rings, capers, both delicious. The crispy rocket and shallots made the macaroni dish simple and stunning. Then our main course of jerk old spot pork belly, sriracha slaw and smoked Applewood cheeseburger, relish, mayo, brioche bun, gherkin was right for us.
However the only complaint was that there was a noisy neighbouring table with a particular individual who was obviously exercising his vocal cords to the nines.
A quite relaxing evening with good service and reliable food.
Lovely service. Bit of a limited menu, presuming Covid related. Wines by the glass weren't the best imho and didn't offer great value. Bit surprised last orders for drinks was around 10.15pm. Again i am guessing due to Covid. All in and most importantly had a great evening.
Great buzzy atmosphere, counter seating meant we could watch the pass which was really good
Excellent “eat out” menu; good quality food and amazing value. Wine pairing was a great little addition and we bought from the store after dinner as well
Staff where really lovely
