The Scullery - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
The Scullery never disappoints. A friend and I enjoyed a quiet lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. The Eggs Hebridean never disappoints, although my friend's club sandwich looked amazing, too. I may have to branch out next time. Reasonable prices for exceptional food!
I was visiting Kelvingrove Art Gallery and was looking for somewhere local for lunch beforehand. Found it on Google maps and the menu looked nice and simple but very appetising. Decor is fresh and welcoming. Service was quick and the waitress was lovely. Food looked good and was fresh. Portion size was just right. I had a chicken club sandwich with chips and my friend had Eggs Benedict and chips. We also had a couple of beers and a bottle of wine and it came in at forty pounds. The view out of the window wasn't up to much but that's not their fault. Overall I enjoyed it more than I thought I would and left feeling full and satisfied. I shall be returning.
I work in Finneston and this was my first time visiting this wee gem. It was a lovely setting, fairy lights added a lovely touch, we got a very warm welcome the man working was so friendly. Our other friend then arrived with her pram and right away he moved us to a table with more space, nothing was too much trouble! The food was so lovely as well I would really recommend for lunch. And a huge gold star to the man working at lunch time on Friday the 27th he was fab!
Been to the Scullery on several occasions now and the restaurant and the staff never disappoint. The food is excellent - my partner and I dined on the Pre-Theatre menu but the Al-a-carte menu is also impressive. Would particularly recommend dark chocolate torte and pistachio ice cream! the Staff are friendly and attentive. Thank you for a lovely visit.
Fantastic place with a very good chef.
I was surprised by how quiet it was on a Friday night, but with food like this and the great service it won't be for long.
I had the lamb with dukkah which was excellent. Very well cooked lamb. My partner had a steak which she enjoyed very much.
The service was good too. Friendly and knowledgable.
Will definitely return.
The food at "The Scullery" was delicious and quite unique. I liked the twists on traditional ideas that were creative and tasty. My husband and I sat in the two person window seat which was great for watching the world go by. Although the restaurant was quiet we thoroughly enjoyed our evening as the staff were so pleasant.
Enjoyable meal. Food was tasty and service was friendly. Only disappointment was the limoncello which should be served straight from the freezer as that is where it should be stored. Unfortunately it wasn't even chilled. Won't stop us from returning however.
Excellent service I am gluten intolerant and they were very prompt in talking me through the menu ,I am always limited with the dishes I can have so normally stick with fish ,the scallops were lovely as a starter ,followed by cod .My husband went for the mussels served with lovely bread and went for the flat steak which he thought could have been more tender .cocktails were also good .Would definately go back again and only a short walk from the Secc .
