We were lucky enough to have a canal side table and enjoyed watching the traffic on the water. We were warmly greeted and immediately felt comfortable in the relaxed atmosphere. The service was attentive and courteous and pleasantly informal. Our meal was promptly served and was delicious. We shared a sea bass as our main which was beautifully cooked. We’ll definitely be going back.
Great fish food, we loved the canal side location, the pleasing tranquillity of the place, and the service was excellent. Thanks for making it a memorable lunch, I intend to repeat the experience as soon as possible
Had lunch on a beautiful sunny day and this was the perfect location for it, with all.of the windows open it felt like we were sitting on a boat.
Chips were wonderful, swordfish good, though criss-crossing the top with mayonnaise and then topping it with mango salsa was a little odd! My dining companion had the bream which looked, and apparently taste, great
I've erred on 'no' regarding a recommendation. This is principally because my experience of the restaurant was quite different from the summer (as it was bound to be in some areas). Because of the density of tables, it was extremely noisy . My guest and I had to lean in across the table to hear each other because of the cacophony. Relaxed conversation was impossible. The food isn't bad, but everything is was rushed, and for the prices, it is really only average. It's not a bad restaurant, but I will think twice before booking it again over the Autumn/Winter period.
Delicious food, always a delight! Everything is fab here from the food, setting and service! Perfect for all occasions!
Lovely, buzzy atmosphere in this great canal-side seafood restaurant. Helpful, friendly staff. Delicious food and good decor. Hard to move around the tables as they are packed in to maximise seating capacity. Best on a sunny day but good all year round. They were super-busy during our visit, so service was a little slow but understandably so. Parking is free on the street right outside (at weekends), which was a bonus. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning soon.
Delicious food, great ambiance and excellent service
Pleasant atmosphere. Lack of variety for food but overall a nice experience.
Lovely place. Nice setting. Good food. Friendly service
We had a really nice diner with a view on the canal. Food was delicious and noise level for an evening was decent. Service was a bit brusque and you’d expect excellence from this kind of restaurant (wine poured too fast from too far ends up dripping on the table cloth, mix up of whose dish belongs to whom). Overall very pleasant
We were given a table in the middle, which was good as we still had views to the canal and were not too close to the kitchen. Amazing food and service.
Great overall experience
Very nice seafood restaurant with great atmosphere and very nicely decorated inside. Slightly on the pricier side but what you would expect for good quality seafood. Service was friendly and fast. Had the seabream and swordfish as mains and brownie and eton mess for dessert, would recommend them all and will definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu!
Lovely food, perfect service, great atmosphere. I requested a canal side table as it was a birthday celebration, which we were given. Special place, would definitely go again.
Delicious swordfish and beautifully presented. Lovely airy restaurant on the canal.
The place is really nice with beautiful
views to the canal. It makes you feel like you are in a seaside town somewhere in France. We had fish dishes and the food was good albeit a bit overpriced which was not surprising considering the area. Still, I would recommend the place for a nice Sunday lunch.
The food is good, the staff excellent, it was a shame we didn't get our request for a table overlooking the canal as we took friends with us that had not been there before.
Yet again another lovely lunch with friends thanks for the delicious food and fabulous service
Lovely restaurant! We visited for breakfast and the food was delicious - we opted for the full English and vegetarian which were excellent.
We found the location great, but service was a bit hit and miss! Also, the tables were very close together- felt like you were sat on top of one another. Ask for a table by the canal if you can!
Absolutely outstanding place for dinner. The atmosphere was incredible, layout and decoration beautiful and the food was beyond amazing!
My date was impressed!
I would highly recommend.
Beautiful setting and good food but the service let us down a bit. The waiters were very slow and quite grumpy.
Love this place. Recommend this restaurant to all my family/friends.
Delightful venue, friendly staff and delicious food. A perfect venue for a summers evening and a celebration event.
This was my first visit having found out about the Summerhouse from a friend. The occasion was a dinner for two and there was a small bit of romance in the air so I was pleased to finds that it was in a very nice location alongside the canal. We had been advised to book and were able to get a seat almost overlooking the water. On the evening of our meal there was quite a lot of activity on the water which made for pleasant viewing while dining. We were met as soon as we arrived and promptly led to our table. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant throughout dealing with all request and orders in a very efficient manner. The standard they set is high, even down to small details like the cloth napkins they provide. The food was also of a high standard and was also very enjoyable. The atmosphere was always pleasant and we felt relaxed and comfy. After the meal we asked if we could be finish off our drinks at the lounge end and we were shown to a small area out over the water which was intimate and a added to our enjoyment of the experience.
The Summerhouse for Sunday brunch was fantastic. We got there early enough to get a seat by the water and that made it a special meal and day.
Only whole milk, so bizarre. And no gluten free bread.
Food was excellent but the service could have been better. However it was really busy. Overall we all enjoyed
Very nice and curated atmosphere. The fish was fresh and delicious but it lacked a bit of creativity in the dishes. Overall it is a very good and chic traditional fish restaurant.
Just so expensive - had Meze to start which was so boring and poor like not homemade - then we ordered sea bass which was really good - had a bottle of wine and two desserts which were average bill came to £170 just seemed extortionate - the venue is superb and staff absolutely charming -
This place is always great. Food is very high quality, and the staff are friendly. Great views of the canal. Had the catch of the day which was delicious. I tried the watermelon salad for a change this time and surprisingly it was really tasty.
Excellent food . Service rather hurried. Not a lot of room tried to cram in to many tables
A wonderful restaurant with outdoor seating on the canal in the beautiful little venice area. Truly wonderful location and great food and cocktails.
It’s a great place with an amazing view. I went on a date in this place and I’m very satisfied from the food, view and the service. I would recommend it.
Lovely place, seated us next to Canal as requested. Service was great, cant remember the
young ladies name but she was very friendly and efficient. The food was really good, and I thought
the cost was reasonable for London prices. All in all 10 out of 10. Will be back for more.
Beautiful scenery with a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend !!
Love love love the summerhouse. Never fails to hit the mark - relaxed dining with fab service
Excellent food, service and location right on the Regent Canal and a short walk from Warwick Avenue tube station - thoroughly recommended.
Decent cooked breakfast, though a bit pricey for what it is. £9 for eggs and bacon on toast is a bit steep for the quantity of bacon given. That said, you're paying for the location and atmosphere which is simply beautiful. The waitress we had hovered quite a bit and tried to take my plate when I still had my last piece of toast and bacon on my fork, but we didn't feel pressured to leave even when it got busier/we had been there for quite some time. I recommend this place but know you are going more for location and ambience than food.
Went for my husband’s birthday, fabulous meal. Food was delicious, service was great and the view was quirky and relaxing. It was wonderful to see the barges and people going by on the canal.
A fun evening - tables were a bit too close -we had a party next to ours and the people kept moving around to mingle but had to keep squeezing onto us...
Great location will try for dry and bright weather next time!
