We had a very nice evening for my In Laws 54 Wedding Anniversary. Service and attention were excellent just the menu a little tricky. Too much sea food !
One of my absolute favorite places to eat in London. Great location along canal (Little Venice area) with a lovely view, excellent food, and good service.
What a find on a google search! We were lucky with a scorching day in London which certainly helped. The Summerhouse is a lovely restaurant on the canal and is beautiful. The service was excellent as was the food. We will definitely visit again. We went for lunch on a Monday and whilst it was busy it wasn't packed.
Great atmosphere, good food and ingredients and an amazing option to have dinner beside the canal
Super moment. A recommander
Second visit, even better than the first, great service and exceptional cote de beouf
Excellent restaurant by the canal! Have been multiple times for brunch, always high quality food and excellent service. Great view and quiet in the mornings, make sure you request a table by the canal for the best view!
This is a charming place to dine out with your love one. During our short stay in London for a week, The Waterhouse is the best pick of us. Restaurant facing to the canal with interesting scenery. Seafood is perfectly cooked, service is nice & warm. We highly highly recommend.
Great place to go for seafood. Lively atmosphere and excellent menu.
Wonderful food; great location and friendly staff.
Absolutely wonderful dinner with family. Beautiful setting, canal side table, delicious food, excellent service.
Nice setting right on the canal, fairly good food, service a bit 1980's. I would go back and give it another try
Our dinner at Summerhouse was our last night in London and was extremely special! It had been recommended to us and certainly didn’t disappoint. Location, service, food were all excellent. We were sad to be leaving London but it was a wonderful last night!
As always great
Wonderful restaurant - cannot fault the food, the setting or the service!
Lunching at The Summerhouse on a sunny Sunday in May is strangely like being transported to a restaurant on the Cote d'Azure, but one that has a view of a canal in London.
The food, particularly the seafood, is well prepared and sipping a glass of wine whilst the canal boats slip past is delightful.
It's busy but not overly so and the staff are really friendly.
Any sunny weekend lunch there will be worthwhile.
Great ambiance, wonderful views of the river. The food was great but the portions were very small, some brunch main meals were sized like a starter which was the only drawback.
Absolutely sensational afternoon. Right on the water, very romantic and chilled. Felt like we were on holiday in the south of France! Great staff too!
Really enjoyed the experience at The Summerhouse. The food was
Too many children. Food is bland. Tables are too close together. Manager has no manners. Food is expensive for what it is. Pimms was very nice.
I couldn’t recommend this more. We had a lovely table overlooking the canal. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was up there with the very best. I will definitely be returning.
Great restaurant, and love going here. But it's very obvious that if you don't look a bit older, they'll never give you a canal side table. I requested one twice, and they told me they could not push two tables together. However when we left there was an elderly group of four, and the tables had been pushed together! Double-standards!
The staff were a little too busy for close attention. The food was nice but it was slightly expensive. The bill should’ve been about 12% cheaper.
Good fish but better to stick to the catch which was great. My friend ordered the monkfish and he was not happy with his choice which actually I found extremely expensive at 25.50£.
Wine glasses are also small for prices charged in my opinion.
My hake was very good and came with asparagus on season.
Service is very good and the place is unbeatable on a nice day.
We have come many times over the years.
Overall a great venue - this place really has character.
Service could have been more attentive and friendly, we were welcomed nicely but then our waitress didn’t really explain he menu. Had to ask about the specials and for breadsticks to be added to our table. I guess we were at the end of the busy lunch period.
The food is good and hits the spot if you like seafood.
We enjoyed our meal and the food was pretty good. The sharing plates as starters was the best but but the main courses were small and the dessert was very expensive and tiny.
Good food with somewhat slow service
What a lovely surprise! A cosy, waterfront jem: delicious food, good drinks selection and very friendly staff.
On a hot summer’s day, as the name suggests this place is great if you’re in a table next to the canal. We were and it was a lovely way to spend a late afternoon. However, I’m not sure we’ll be back as the food was a little average. Mezze platter was nice enough - probably not quite over £20 nice. The fish and chips were ok but nothing special (batter a bit overdone) - again not worth £17. My wife’s monkfish she said was ok but the monkfish itself not great. And my sister’s salmon was apparently very nice. The wine was great. All in all, and importantly we eat out in London several times a week, honestly thought this place was average for the price and slightly rushed service on top at 12.5% (table wasn’t ready when we arrived yet we were rushed to order).
Always a great choice!!! John makes us feel at home with his smile and always find a way to accommodate us.
Always enjoy the Summerhouse. Great food, friendly service and a buzzy atmosphere.
Beautiful venue, all of the staff are extremely welcoming and polite. The food is incredible.
This was my first visit to The Summerhouse and I will definitely be a regular customer from now on. It was one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. There were 4 of us in our party and we had a canal side table which was lovely. We chose completely different dishes and all of us thought the food was exceptionally good, really tasty and beautifully presented. Prior to our dinner we had popped round the corner to The Waterway and had a drink on their terrace. If you are looking for somewhere fab to go on a sunny day/evening in London this is the place !
Very enjoyable meal for our wedding anniversary. Restaurant was surprisingly busy, which made for a good buzz and the food was great, culminating in the chocolate selection to share!
Fantastic food and atmosphere - highly recommend - great
I have eaten here before (which tells you something already) and was not disappointed by the food, ambiance, and service. You are always warmly greeted and given an option of several tables.
The tables are generally close together so consideration is sometimes required with other dinners.
Great place that has lovely views of the canal. We went for the brunch menu which had a great selection. The service was friendly and fast and although you get a time limit on tables we didn't feel like we were being rushed at all. We will be back for sure for their dinner menu
Great for a special occasion. Beautiful location!
Date night, arrived at 18.15 just before the place filled up. Lovely evening so asked for a waterside table with the weather screen rolled up so we could watch the swans. Staff very friendly, place had a feeling of being on holiday. Food was great quality and decent sized portions. Would definitely dine here again.
Amazing place! Always love to come here! Highly recommended! Great service, great food!
