Great food at a reasonable value
My meal was off the special board of sea bass and risotto , fish was fantastic but risotto was not good. The waiter's was very apologetic and they offered me a free pudding , which I had of course and I choose the mini selection of puddings which was fantastic. The service was brilliant can't fault that and it's such a nice place to go and eat. I would go again .
As always, good food prompt and efficient service, pleasant and helpful staff. All-in-all, a good experience.
This was our second family meal at the Swan and from the moment we arrived to the moment we departed, the service was very good. We all enjoyed our meals and will probably visit again.
We booked Sunday lunch at The White Swan to break a regular journey up the M5. The food was very good: generous portions and the traditional roasts that we had were as near to home-made as I believe you can get when eating out. There was an excellent selection of fresh vegetables.
While eating there, we noticed that there was a function room that we recommended to friends who ( like us) use restaurants each year in the area to arrange family gatherings, as Worcester is central to most of the groups. There was a birthday party on the day that we ate in the pub and the food looked really good. The whole thing seemed to be well organised, such an that event at The White Swan later this year.
Bit dissapointing that not one member of staff wore a mask. Appreciate it's not compulsory now, but we haven't been anywhere else that has decided to accept the new legislation, even though Covid numbers are on the vast rise. The staff however were attentive and polite.
The food was ok.... had to send one meal back for being undercooked and cold and have to say the pork wasn't the tastiest. Expensive £15 for a burger with cheese, and a relatively small portion, no salad garnish except a small portion of coleslaw . However the seafood sharing platter was as good as last time.
We did not have anything to complain about but thought it all a bit expensive.
Everyone was extremely friendly one member of the party was late but they were very accommodating. We never felt pressured or hassled by staff yet they were very helpful when needed too. Loved the chilled ambience and good quality food. Will definitely come back.x
Always excellent food and service, never disappoints.
Booked for breakfast which was delicious, recommend the full English!
Halloumi fries were amazing. Duck salad was also very good
All a bit tired and stressy post lockdown
Lovely freshly prepared food, fab breakfast - we sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine, lots of tables to choose from then, I image evenings would be very busy as the food is really good.
Went on Wednesday evening around 7pm restaurant was quiet with a several people outside due to hot weather. We had fish and chips and pie of the day which was “Thai pie “ both meals were excellent and service great. COVID restrictions seemed a bit vague with a wait here sign before be being seated a bar, however most people were going straight to the bar but were wearing masks which was reassuring.Have not been out for a while so thought 2 large glasses of merlot seemed pricey at £13 could buy a similar bottle from Tesco for £6 but hey we still enjoyed the evening at it was great to be out.
Local. Friendly. Good food and drink menu. Works well.
we all really enjoyed our lunch in your beautiful clean cool restaurant .a nice relaxed time spent with friends .delicious food .seved promptly .
As always, great food, good service and polite staff. Good value for money..
Found it very odd they don’t do drinks menus.
Also a very weird set up having to phone from the garden to order food!! Lots of waitresses and waiters walking around, would’ve been much easier for them to take orders instead of phoning the pub!
Delicious food & Fast service. Thoroughly enjoyed it !
What a strange place. Had to make all orders over the phone when eating outside in the garden, refused to take drink or food orders in person. Never experienced this before. Food was actually really good though, better than average pub grub and garden was quite nice. Not very enthused staff at all, think they were happy scaring people off with their disdain of people sitting outside. Shame - could be a really good pub based on the chef.
Booked at last minute after being caught up on delays on M4 and M5. Food great
Was a little noisy. Love the garlic chicken but found it a bit dry this time.
Lovely food, friendly waiting staff. Great place for an enjoyable meal
Lovely food and quiet, as we were indoors which was cooler than outside where most people were. We were able to talk easily and had a nice relaxed time with our friends and good food.
We had a very nice lunch in the sun. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The food was good, ( however the sausage pizza was very greasy), the restaurant is a lovely setting however the service was very lax with no designated waitress so we were left unattended and having to wait for drinks and dessert for rather a long time (even though the restaurant wasn’t that busy). There seemed to be lots of staff but not very attentive.
Had tender stem broccoli as part of the main course. It was anything but tender and was inedible. Probably not cooked enough.
Lovely food & friendly staff. Diners were well spaced out.
Birthday drinks with my neighbours. We all love the Swan. Never disappoints.
Booked on line easily, received a reminder the day before, confirmation by just texting ‘1’ was very easy, received well on arrival, relaxed atmosphere, great service, food came in good time, tasty and well presented , top ups requested - lovely relaxing time - thank you
Food was tasty and the social distancing was good making us feel safe and secure.
Fantastic Sunday roast the beef was delicious! Will definitely be coming back again :)
Our first outing to a restaurant since COVID…. Made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and the service flawless. We are huge fans and would highly recommend.
Always excellent service and a good choice of food to suit all tastes. Lots of different areas both inside and out.
I was most disappointed. We attended on a special occasion and having visited many times before, we felt confident we would have a great time. The food was brought out after exceptional waiting, my fathers steak was over cooked (despite making a real issue of how it should be cooked when ordering), chicken burgers were tough and dry, we had to repeatedly beckon staff to the table to order drinks and I had to take our empty starter plates to the bar to remind the staff to bring out our main courses. We will not be returning. What has happened to your standards?
Great pub and food, but please come up with something with less goats cheese for us vegetarians! Makes the choices limiting.
Showed too our table we hadn’t even sat down before we were asked what we wanted to drink , the chairs were very rickety was scared they were going to break didn’t feel safe on them so was uncomfortable , ordered the ploughman’s lunch bread stale and it was very underwhelming usually the food is good here , just not this visit , the staff were very friendly and nice
The swan is very welcoming and friendly staff seem happy. The food was delicious.
Varied menu and well- presented dishes.
Our only disquiet was that our table felt a little too close to a full and quite noisy table next to us.
Lovely restaurant, menu has lots of choice, friendly service and food was delicious.
