Excellent as always. Food was outstanding. Staff was great, no complaints at all.
We came for a family party of 6 ages ranging fro 28 to 72. It was a lovely evening with good food and wine and good service. Thoroughly recommended.
Service with a smile and a bit of politeness isn’t difficult, also having recived our meals we were not asked if we would like anything else, we had to catch the waitress to ask for some mayonnaise and ketchup which almost seemed too much trouble, the food was pretty good part from one of the battered fish was a lot of batter and not much fish. We booked a later sitting so being busy wouldn’t be an excuse, friendly and polite staff could make this a really good pub, maybe we just caught a bad day.
Great quality food. Everyone enjoyed their choices. Deceptively filling too.
We enjoyed our pre-Christmas lunch with friends. it worked well and the staff were excellent. Food was also good.
Six of us dined, one meal sent back (meat toooooo rare) two meals OK, remainder quite good! Wine was exhorbitant for the surroundings (forgot to ask how much but shouldn't have to).
Had Sunday roast at the Swan. Husband had pheasant. Was nice to see something different on the menu but the pheasant was dry and tough.
Rest of us has beef roast. Looked good. But was not tender. Best Yorkies on the planet tho! Nice veg spread (carrots and turnips were raw) and nice gravy.
Service ok. Won’t return for Sunday roast. Menu and food usually pretty good.
Sadly disappointed with this place. We had what we'd say was 'amazing' food when first visited about 3 years ago or so. Obviously the chef/management has changed. Have been a few times since (was ok) but this visit was very disappointing in terms of both food and service. Such a shame as it lovely location/interiors.
Staff are great and take care of the establishment and their customers, the quality of the food and available selection is excellent and right on the money for an establishment of this type. The interior is cosy without being too dark and heavy, and I'm happy to bring friends and family here for coffee, drinks or food.
Greeting was friendly after a terrible drive for us all due to bad weather and some were late.
Gladly moved us to a larger table as our party had increased in size
Food was very tasty and well presented
Server good but not over chatty ....
One of the most delicious lunches I’ve had for a while. Succulent chicken breast on creamy red quinoa with roasted squash and buttered green veg. Excellent and knowledgable staff. Cosy setting in the bar by the fire. For us, a perfect lunch setting after an autumnal walk around Chiddingfold and the Surrey hills.
The food here is consistently very good we had 3 roasts and a fish and chips. Could do with another desert for Coeliac sufferers sorbet and ice cream is something I can have at home! The food could be hotter and the gravy having said that the meat and veg were delicious. Staff are always helpful and the place has a very good atmosphere.
We had a lovely time here for my mother's birthday. The staff were excellent and could not have been more helpful.
Delicious Sunday lunch, lovely pub, excellent locL beer, couldnt ask for more.
Lovely place and some meals were good but the roast beef was very tough.
A superb Sunday lunch, good menu choice, friendly staff, spacious dining area, will definitely be returning & recommending to others.
Fabulous food, great selection and great atmosphere!
We had good table for 6 and there was space. We like the village and the ambience
and it was near to where my daughter and family live near Haslemere. It was enjoyable
and very suitable for our family get-together
They made us feel very welcome and looked after us very well indeed. They were all efficient, friendly and attentive. Lovely grub and good choice of wines.
I got a different meal to the one that I ordered. When I told the waitress she apologised and got me the meal that I had ordered and took both meals off the bill. Both meals were very tasty and the staff were very helpful.
Tried to find a spot not far from London but far enough for the country feel, and I found the Swan Inn online. This place did not disappoint: food was excellent, service was gracious and the area is lovely. The kids menu was well thought out. Would come back to this place.
Return visit to this lovely venue. Quick service as we were there quite early in the evening. Staff very friendly and attentive. Great wine list and choice of non-alcoholic options which is really important these days.
We have been a few times before and find it a very friendly restaurant with attentive and smiling staff. The bar is accessible to all and dogs are allowed. The food is excellent. We will always go back there.
Great Restaurant and food was super. Restaurant was quite and was quite expensive for a Pub. Staff super friendly and very professional
I have been several times lately to The Swan for Lunch and Sunday Lunch and have been a little dissapointed with the food and service. Only 2 roast potatoes, very small amount of vegetables and
not a lot of gravy either. However the meat is always good and lots of it and would be improved with
more of the above!
The service can be slow at times and feel you have to attract their attention,a smile would help too.
However not all staff are like this some are very polite and very helpful.
We popped in her for a late Saturday lunch. The restaurant was quiet but this suited us well as we find busy places over stimulating. We had such a lovely meal. The service was attentive. The food very delicious. There was music playing but it was not intrusive and improved the ambience. There was a lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We will definitely come back again.
Great service — they’d run out of some main course & desert options by 7.30pm tho — food a cut above the average — nicely presented comfort food in essence.
Food was good, but the 20 minute wait from when pudding menu brought to table and coming to take our order was unacceptable. Reason given was she was the only person serving.
We decided not to have a pudding and just paid bill and left.
Prior to then a man from the back office, who I assumed was a manager, kept passing and asking was everything Ok, which it was.
Where had vanished to !!
Enjoyed my evening even though I had a tooth removed that day, food looked mouth watering and my guests enjoyed the food. A lovely experience and would go again and again.
Excellent friendly service, food was very good and a extensive Gluten Free menu.
Nice meal but small portion. Would have been helpful if a side of veg had been recommended. A man would have been very hungry!
Quite expensive for the amount and quality. Chips were very burnt but received refund on these only when we left.
All very good though my booking was not recorded
The food was tasty and the service relaxed and friendly.
We've eaten at The Swan a number of times and the food and service have always been good to very good. This time was not so good, food ok but service haphazard and error prone.
The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The Swan was particularly busy the evening that we were there because the other local pub had closed for a function. However, the staff worked very hard so this had little impact on our experience for the evening. The meal was lovely, different from a standard pub menu and beautifully prepared and presented. We loved the 'Secret Garden'!!
The food was incredible. Presented beautifully. It looked a bit small when it first came, but was actually the perfect amount. So tasty. And the service was amazing! A little expensive, but ultimately worth it!
Great food, great service. Friendly and accommodating.
Ingredients for food and flavours were good but cooking was not so good. Food was barely warm, skin on fish was soggy.
We thought it was very lovely and the staff were relaxed and friendly. We were only slightly disappointed that they hadn't even looked out our 'special occasion' note when we made the booking. That was the missing bit. The ambiance perhaps wasn't right for that in any case. Otherwise very lovely, delicious food in a beautiful village.
Wonderful from start to finish. Great service, food was splendid. The other 30ish Gastropubs in the UK must be very good indeed.
