Very good food in a friendly environment. I can't say no to en English Breakfast, even for lunch and it was the best I ever had, even the beans were great and I usually don't like them.
Lovely restaurant food amazing. Really enjoyed the breakfast
Food was absolutely delicious, service was lovely and very friendly. Perfect for Sunday brunch.
Mother's Day treat. Food was lovely. Only negative? Those seats by the window. Too high to sit comfortably. You could also do with hooks on the walls for coats. Bit of a pain to sit on ours.
It was a friend meeting, for brunch, and it was more than expected. Amazing vibe, great service, and the food was just on point. If you want good coffee and delicious food (with a touch of American cuisine, hello perfect waffles and pancakes!) for a good price, this is your place.
A little disappointed. We went to this place beacuse it used to be on our list for good pancakes in London. Well, this time they were everything but. Pre-cooked and kept in a food warmer (seen it myself), not fluffy at all and more resembling a "frittata", they were even significantly under-cooked in the middle. I am also pretty sure that what was presented as "maple syrup" was more likely something else (good maple syrup has a distinctive bitter aftertaste). Corn syrup maybe? But this is just a detail, I wouldn't have minded if the pancakes had been good. On the other hand, the eggs we had were good, the place is nice, and the staff is helpful and charming. So go, but avoid the pancakes (at least at busy times).
Fantastic staff and a great buzz in the atmosphere, came here for brunch will be returning for more
The restaurant was very buzzy for a Saturday lunch time. Unfortunately one of our party had to send her meal back twice but the restaurant didn't charge her for the meal.
Great food, and very reasonable pricing. Had breakfast with a group of friends here and it was very pleasant. Good friendly professional service and food was served quickly. Only thing is the group seating is outside in a canopy, and end of February it was fairly cold as the outdoor heaters didn't seem to be particularly effective. All in all thoroughly recommend
We reserved a table for 5, and requested a highchair. We were given a table for 4, no highchair. We had to squeeze in. The table was covered in jam and sugar - the waitress didn't notice or care when she threw our menus down. Nice. Food and drinks were slow to arrive and cold when they finally did. We ordered more drinks, which we had to chase up 3 times over the course of half an hour. The waitresses were over stretched and fairly grumpy. So disappointing. I used to eat here loads, and always enjoyed it. Maybe this was an off day, but I'm not really inclined to come back - there are many more options in the area.
This place is popular and busy on the weekends so if you do choose to go here, you should book.
However, I should warn you that service is not great, and food was not exceptional. Let’s start with service- we had to ask for a couple of things more than once before they arrived. But this was not the biggest issue-it was more to do with the fact that about 15 minutes after we were seated we were told the table was needed in 45 minutes for another reservation! And that ‘if we had another table free at that time, we’ll move you’.
We were not told at the time of booking for a casual Saturday brunch that we had a restricted one hour sitting and neither were we given the option of a different table on arrival-the staff were more interested in getting us out as quickly as possible than ensuring we were given great service.
The food was ok, but not exceptional-two of us had the baked beans/ham hock stack, one brunch burger and one avocado and tomato on sourdough toast-the poached eggs were all slightly overdone, as was the sourdough toast. The burger was probably the best meal, but given it was the most expensive item on the menu, it should have been!
We definitely won’t go back-we can get better service, and better food elsewhere.
So far this is THE best Full English breakfast I've had in London. Always busy on the weekends but surprisingly easy to grab a reservation. My go-to breakfast spot.
Excellent pancakes and waffles here, great attention to detail and its nice to see the open kitchen.
Best to book as it gets quite busy
The place doesn't have much ambience - feels a bit more like a canteen than a restaurant.
We went for Sunday brunch, which I do understand is busy, but that staff made it pretty clear they wanted to turnover our table quickly.
It was also expensive for what it was - £17 for a brunch burger??
The best pancakes I've ever had (the lemon and sugar)!
Superb small venue with a short menu of inspiring simply cooked delicious local ingredients. Best sardines I’ve ever eaten.
The staff are more than welcoming - and it's a really buzzy place. Only problem is that it's sometimes TOO buzzy and you can't hear what your dining companions are saying! However, who needs to talk when the food is this good?
I had the eggs fallow (poached eggs with halloumi, avocado ans hot sauce on English muffins) and it was delicious! Service always lovely and welcoming here. Food yummy and reasonably priced.
Delicious food and lovely service.
Booked for breakfast. Lovely breakfast options and great coffee! Nice ambience and great service. Probably a little more expensive than other nearby establishments but quality is worth while.
Good choice on the menu for brunch. Delicious, fresh ingredients and nicely presented breakfast. Liked the open kitchen. Service prompt and friendly.
Fantastic vegetarian brunch served by friendly and helpful staff. Although busy it wasn't too noisy. Can't wait o go again and try the waffles which looked delicious.
Loved it here! The service was a bit slow and forgetful to begin with, however this picked up during the meal. The food was amazing as we're the drinks and the atmosphere was relaxed but fun. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit thank you!
I booked this place as it was recommended to me by a friend. The only availability for a table for 8 people was outside under the marquee with heaters. The weather was not great but the venue had not checked whether the table and seats were dry before giving us the table. The service was terrible as the waiter was very grumpy. They charged £12 for scrambled eggs and smoked salmon which was the size of a child's portion. When asked to substitute toast for spinach we were told no for some dishes but ok for others. One person ordered a full English breakfast which arrived without the fried eggs. Such a disappointing experience after it had been talked up so much.
The food was nice however the brunch service was extremely rushed.
Waitress looked after us very well! Food was delicious!!
I've been several times and the food is consistently amazing! I also really love the location because it's right by Tate modern and perfect for a walk by the river after.
I was called by the manager 5 minutes before my booking to see where I was - I think she was trying to get us to cancel to fit others in. On arrival (on time) I was abruptly taken to my table, given a menu then the manager walked off. My friend had a similar greeting. Thankfully, our waitress was very friendly, the food was tasty and we had a good experience from there. Just a shame that someone leading the team didn't seem to have any understanding of how to treat customers!
We had a lovely relaxed dinner with delicious gluten- free food and live jazz! Wine choice was great, the food was interesting, healthy and tasty.
Menu is great and food and drinks were good but maybe a bit rushed. Service not good.
Good food although overpriced. Terrible staff who are very rude
The staff were charming and very accommodating - especially as we arrived with more than our booked number of guests. Felt relaxed. Food good and a good though not vast range on offer for brunch (though I felt they could probably have mixed and matched from the items on offer if asked) Would certainly go back.
The Table Cafe is OK, service is really really slow and you have to ask for things a few times before you get them. Avocado was also brown.
When we arrived they told us they didn't have many if the plates because they had run out of food. The only vegetarian option from the main dishes was out of stock. What's the whole point on going for a vegetarian option if they don't have it.
Met my sister for breakfast at 7.30AM before work and it was great! Delicious food, comfortable seating, friendly service, affordable and fair prices. Would definitely go again.
Accueil désordonné, nourriture quelconque, fade , sans relief et la note pour un brune à 4 de 85 livres hors de prix pour ce que nous avons mangé
I went with my boyfriend for his birthday and the staff were all nice with us and the atmosphere was great. We are really well and we will come back
The breakfast menu at the table cafe is truly a wonder, with so much to choose from I'm going to have to go back again (and again)
Always excellent food, friendly service (although it can be a bit difficult to catch the server's attention at times) and excellent coffee.
The portions of the meals were not great value for money also the quality of the taste i would say that it was below average..for example the bruschetta we had the bread was toasted to a point of burned at the edges and we could not even chopped with a fork also it was only one slice of bread.( i am a proffesional baker and i happed to know how much it costs to make a loaf of bread).
Thank you for your time.
