About The Table Cafe
In an area known for its constant progression, The Table Café on Southwark Street sits comfortably amongst its Bankside neighbours, evolving as the neighbourhood itself has done for thousands of years. From a small restaurant selling sandwiches and salads, the Table has grown into a thriving business with a diverse menu centered on impeccable quality and sustainable resourcing. The menu? Simple food with flair. Opening just as you need your first cup of coffee and closing long after the last of those essential after-work drinks have been sipped, the restaurant strives to make sure that customers feel part of the Table Community seven days a week.

The Table Cafe Ratings and Reviews
The ambience was very nice for a casual conversation with friends, and the food was tasty and nutritious. I would recommend having either a sweet or savory brunch. Smoothies were great too. The waitresses were attentive and friendly. Menu is a bit pricey though.
Brunch was excellent, easily one of the best in the area that I've experienced. Reasonably priced too. I really liked the atmosphere – buzzy with good, relaxed service. We would certainly return for another visit. The full English was particularly excellent, with a generously sized sausage. Orange juice was slightly disappointing though. Overall an excellent experience.
Been coming to the Table since it first opened . It was opened for the staff at the architectural company next door as there were very few cafes in that area so it attracted us like minded creatives. I usually meet up with friends for breakfast.
It has got very very crowded over the years mainly due to the number of hotels that have sprung up in this originality very quiet area and has lost some of its calmness due to the queues at the door on Sunday morning. But they now have a booking system so suggest you use it .
But the food is always of a high standard, the coffee has improved and staff are very friendly
Lovely central venue for a family get together for Breakfast. Nicest place near Waterloo station. At the more expensive end of the breakfast spectrum but totally worth it. We only had breakfast but it looked like they do lots of evening events and it certainly looked like it would work really well as a venue for that.
I just love this place. The waiters were really friendly and the food over the top. You have to try the waffles with bacon and banana. Amazing. Is the perfect place for a big breakfast or a great brunch. I have been there with friends a couple of times and dont regretet. Best food and place ever.
First time visiting The Table, brought my son for brunch before going to The Tate. Outstanding brunch! Delicious! Highest quality ingredients, and a twist on the usual English breakfast. Chorizio baked beans were delicious and the herby mushrooms melt in the mouth! Great atmosphere, relaxed and friendly. Huge pot of steaming hot tea. Can't wait to return and have told friends how great The Table is.
Total hidden gem! Booked our table half an hour before turning up for brunch and miraculously we were on the system and could be catered for. Definitely worth booking ahead as this place is super busy! Food was wonderful, great quality and super tasty - sausages best I've ever tasted. We'll definitely be back!
I had an urge for brunch - something I rarely get chance to do. I had a look at a few and settled on Table as it had great reviews and was near Borough. As soon as we walked in, we were met by a smiley man. The service throughout was perfect - lovely bunch of people. The atmosphere reminded me of Sydney as did the style of food for brunch. The food was great - tasty and fresh and enough of it to fill you without feeling stuffed. All washed down with a good coffee. We were pleasantly surprised and will be going back.
Great place for brunch. Really buzzy atmosphere and definitely recommend booking to ensure you get a table. We booked for Sunday brunch and glad we did as there was a queue when we arrived. Staff are super friendly and efficient. Good coffee and great quality food (good vegan and veggie option) Have already booked to go twice.
