Service was very poor, we waited for about 20 minutes until someone took our order, then another 20-30 for the food. Food was tasty but quite overpriced for portion sizes. We avoided ordering dessert fearing it would be another half an hour before it arrived, and had to wait even longer for a card reader. Suggested tip was very high was lack of service. Was very disappointed.
Service was painfully slow and doors left open to facilitate serving rather than keeping customers warm. Waited 40 minutes for food. However the food was good and location ideal for Tate Modern. As we had timed tickets we didn’t have time for coffee or a desert...not good for us or the accounts
Really pleasant experience, friendly staff, clean fresh environment. Excellent food. Good location and good outside eating area. Very pleasant for mid-week brunch. Would definitely recommend
The outside area was lovely and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Good brunch options for those who like savoury and sweet!
Excellent food and fantastic service, we were made very welcome. We enjoyed various items from the brunch menu- all were excellent in flavour and quantity. I can particularly recommend the pumpkin pancakes!
Lovely place. Have been here quite a few times for brunch and it never disappoints. The English breakfast on a waffle is especially great. In the summer it's worth sitting outside as it's in a quiet area away from traffic, so it's ideal for a catch-up
This place is always a great dining experience, my family rejoice when I name it.
We visit The Table Cafè at brunch or dinner and is consistently outstanding!
A very friendly staff is ready to tailor your experience with a big smile.
The spotlight is promptly stolen by their dishes.
They look as good as they taste and are made with carefully sourced ingredients.
Locally sourced Beers in rotation and a good wine selection will bring you near and far on a flavour journey.
Make room for a dessert too, you won’t be disappointed.
And the smiles again, at some point you’ll be confused on who’s enjoying more…
Wow, will definitely be back again!
Went for brunch on a weekday. Although I had already called to establish that the brunch specials were available on a weekday the waiter didn't know this and didn't bring us the brunch menu. And seemed very confused about this. The waiter also didn't know what the homemade sodas were. The outside "terrace" is rather bleak and uninviting. Food was fairly average. Wasn't terrible but a bit of a disappointment. Wouldn't rush to return.
It's good, the chips where crispy, the burger was nice, could of been faster service but it was packed, ice cream was OK but needs improving, overall its good.
Fabulous brunch choices, great food and excellent service. - thank you!
Super nice staff, perfect brunch food! Service was fast and we had a great time. I would definitely go back :)
We’ve been here for breakfast a few times before (the first was our anniversary and this time was our anniversary also) The breakfast menu has got smaller on each visit but this time my full English was substandard. My medium eggs were well done and the bacon looked grey around the fatty bits. My cup of Mocha was hot whilst my wife’s was luke warm although they were delivered at the same time.
This was a good lunch. We had the burger and the pork belly and both were tasty. The triple cooked chips were cooked at least once too many times for my taste, but that's just me. Wasn't very busy when we were there for lunch. Not sure we'd go back, unless we were passing and hungry.
I love this place. I've been for dinner and brunch and the food and service has been great on all occasions. It is particularly buzzy for brunch on the weekends and the choice is great. This visit was a quiet, late Monday dinner and the onglet steaks were perfection. Other gems are the cocktails, a particular favourite being the Dirty Dirty Lilt, created by their own bar manager - delicious!
4 of us had brunch here. The food was great and tasty - a little expensive for what we got but the options, especially the vegetarian options. The service was slow (and the restaurant wasn't that busy) when we ordered a second course, it didn't turn up for ages. We asked about it and the staff realised they hadn't put the order in. After this it still took over 20 mins to get some pancakes and a member of our party had to leave before it arrived. This was a problem as we were told, when we booked, we could only have the table for 2 hours so my friend made plans for after brunch but we had the table for longer (great!) but the service was slow.
Best brunch I’ve ever had! Food was incredible and staff went out of their way to accommodate our requests. Perfect experience.
Good food and very friendly staff. Fresh fish and veggie options were good.
Excellent food and great choice for vegetarians too!!!
Great service, friendly and accommodating staff. There were 10 of us and we had a lovely brunch. Atomsphere was relaxed and welcoming. Food very good. Thank - you
Severely limited menu on account of “just about to change our menu”. Approx 25% of menu was unavailable
2 of us for dinner, waitress managed to get 1 meal totally wrong: steak served rare instead of medium and served with chips instead of with the baked potatoes I ordered.
When we tried to pay, 4 times our bank card transaction was “declined” so we had to pay cash. Thinking this odd I had the presence of mind to ring my bank to check what was going on - all 4 transactions had been processed, meaning I could easily have paid 5 times for a meal.
To be completely fair, the restaurant did give me contact details so I could ring them if the declined charges did get processed so that the overpayment could be refunded.
Fortunately my bank provides better service than this restaurant and they stopped all the “declined” transactions on the basis that I had paid cash for the meal and had a cash receipt!
I will not be eating here again!
With a little attention to detail this place could, and should, be so much better than it actually is; especially with so much good competition so close by!!
This was a return to The Table as I had not been since it opened. We enjoyed the hours of happiness and the food was good quality, but I have ticked poor for value as the portions were small and the mains came with no extra veg or salad. It is a convenient location for the Southbank and clearly has a loyal following for brunch etc. A number of things were not available.
Great place for catch up with friends
Food - nothing home to talk about. Pretty basic. Service needed constant calling out. Overall a just about OK exp. will not revisit.
Very busy, limited menu, shared tables, food tasted ok, service was ok.
Quite nosy because it's so popular - food was great, really enjoyed the brunch. Make sure you book because of how popular it is on the weekend.
Very good food in a friendly environment. I can't say no to en English Breakfast, even for lunch and it was the best I ever had, even the beans were great and I usually don't like them.
Lovely restaurant food amazing. Really enjoyed the breakfast
Food was absolutely delicious, service was lovely and very friendly. Perfect for Sunday brunch.
Mother's Day treat. Food was lovely. Only negative? Those seats by the window. Too high to sit comfortably. You could also do with hooks on the walls for coats. Bit of a pain to sit on ours.
It was a friend meeting, for brunch, and it was more than expected. Amazing vibe, great service, and the food was just on point. If you want good coffee and delicious food (with a touch of American cuisine, hello perfect waffles and pancakes!) for a good price, this is your place.
A little disappointed. We went to this place beacuse it used to be on our list for good pancakes in London. Well, this time they were everything but. Pre-cooked and kept in a food warmer (seen it myself), not fluffy at all and more resembling a "frittata", they were even significantly under-cooked in the middle. I am also pretty sure that what was presented as "maple syrup" was more likely something else (good maple syrup has a distinctive bitter aftertaste). Corn syrup maybe? But this is just a detail, I wouldn't have minded if the pancakes had been good. On the other hand, the eggs we had were good, the place is nice, and the staff is helpful and charming. So go, but avoid the pancakes (at least at busy times).
Fantastic staff and a great buzz in the atmosphere, came here for brunch will be returning for more
The restaurant was very buzzy for a Saturday lunch time. Unfortunately one of our party had to send her meal back twice but the restaurant didn't charge her for the meal.
Great food, and very reasonable pricing. Had breakfast with a group of friends here and it was very pleasant. Good friendly professional service and food was served quickly. Only thing is the group seating is outside in a canopy, and end of February it was fairly cold as the outdoor heaters didn't seem to be particularly effective. All in all thoroughly recommend
We reserved a table for 5, and requested a highchair. We were given a table for 4, no highchair. We had to squeeze in. The table was covered in jam and sugar - the waitress didn't notice or care when she threw our menus down. Nice. Food and drinks were slow to arrive and cold when they finally did. We ordered more drinks, which we had to chase up 3 times over the course of half an hour. The waitresses were over stretched and fairly grumpy. So disappointing. I used to eat here loads, and always enjoyed it. Maybe this was an off day, but I'm not really inclined to come back - there are many more options in the area.
This place is popular and busy on the weekends so if you do choose to go here, you should book.
However, I should warn you that service is not great, and food was not exceptional. Let’s start with service- we had to ask for a couple of things more than once before they arrived. But this was not the biggest issue-it was more to do with the fact that about 15 minutes after we were seated we were told the table was needed in 45 minutes for another reservation! And that ‘if we had another table free at that time, we’ll move you’.
We were not told at the time of booking for a casual Saturday brunch that we had a restricted one hour sitting and neither were we given the option of a different table on arrival-the staff were more interested in getting us out as quickly as possible than ensuring we were given great service.
The food was ok, but not exceptional-two of us had the baked beans/ham hock stack, one brunch burger and one avocado and tomato on sourdough toast-the poached eggs were all slightly overdone, as was the sourdough toast. The burger was probably the best meal, but given it was the most expensive item on the menu, it should have been!
We definitely won’t go back-we can get better service, and better food elsewhere.
So far this is THE best Full English breakfast I've had in London. Always busy on the weekends but surprisingly easy to grab a reservation. My go-to breakfast spot.
Excellent pancakes and waffles here, great attention to detail and its nice to see the open kitchen.
Best to book as it gets quite busy
The place doesn't have much ambience - feels a bit more like a canteen than a restaurant.
We went for Sunday brunch, which I do understand is busy, but that staff made it pretty clear they wanted to turnover our table quickly.
It was also expensive for what it was - £17 for a brunch burger??
