The Three Oaks
Sophie was brilliant thank you we enjoyed our Easter lunch
Second time we’ve been and had a great meal again - especially the starters and main courses. Desserts not as impressive.
Good atmosphere and friendly and knowledgeable staff.
We will so please improve the desserts - sticky toffee pudding less stodgy and brick like please!
A wonderful visit to the Three Oaks. Cannot wait to return!
We had a lovely meal, everyone was happy, especially the birthday girl, who had no idea I had mentioned it to you until a birthday plate arrived. Thank you.
The meal and service were excellent but did not appreciate receiving an email beforehand stating that the booking was time limited.
We have been wanting to come here for a while and finally got the chance to. We were not disappointed and really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and the staff really friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning here soon.
Difficult to get a table at weekends, always busy which is a very good sign. Menu very different from normal pub food, extremely well presented and the staff always know what each dish comprises of and tastes of. Very friendly staff, but not too over the top! Will be returning yet again!
As always, a very pleasant lunch was had. We ordered off the main menu, even though it was a Sunday. The squid & Salmon starters were some of the best we have had. We both went for fish for our mains - plaice and cod and equally superb. Cannot recommend The Three Oaks enough, staff are brilliant and how Chef comes up with such innovative dishes is a marvel!!!!
Use to be a great place but it’s deteriorated in recent years. Staff very nice but food not so good, quality and temperature and far more expensive.
Not going back
Lovely place and another lovely dinner at the three Oaks.
Menu is lovely and different from pub typical food. True gastro pub flare. Tasty, well cooked food.
Mains could probably be a little larger but a matter of opinion.
Service really excellent.
Second time of eating here, and was not disappointed. Such lovely food
Although a small menu food was good but place was very noisy
We ate early so it wasn't very noisy or at it's busiest. Enjoyed everything.
Our third visit after two excellent previous lunches this
We were a 4 and 2 of our starters featured a large amount or raw beetroot virtually inedible.
My sweet, sticky toffee pudding featured the most solid “pudding “ I’ve ever had.
Service and wine (although on the pricey side) were good.
Overall £90 for the 4 of us was not good value.
Always a lovely welcome, followed by good service and delicious food. Menu could change more often as if visit regularly, bot monotonous. Set Menu that is.
Good service from very helpful and friendly staff, nice food, portions could be much bigger.
Car parking a nightmare.
Brilliant. Warm welcome, friendly staff, fantastic food. Sophie was great
Amazing Mothers Day dining. Friendly staff, great food and would recommend to anyone.
Great table great service and wonderful food, Dad’s birthday and a special little sample dessert on the house was a lovely touch
Great gastro pub, with well trained staff.
Very warm welcome, different menu choices, perfect birthday dinner.
Thank you guys x
Excellent meal. Treated my friend for her birthday and she really enjoyed it, we will come again.
I love this restaurant. As someone with food allergies, I always feel safe as the chef and staff take it really seriously. Always speak to them before going and the chef will mark up a menu to show you what is safe for you. Really delicious food and great service. Can't wait to go again.
We have visited The Three Oaks on a number of occasions and have been pleased with the quality of the food and the service.
Fab evening as always. Staff and service excellent, food delicious and love having this great pub near by.
This is always one of my 'treat' places for a special occasion - the service is always A+ and the food is really delicious. It was lovely that the staff acknowledged my mum's birthday too and she felt very special!
Great food and a lovely experience. Only downside was that we were waiting for 30 minutes for our table.
starters and main courses lovely!! Sadly puddings not as good. Sticky toffee pud, disappointing and dry!! Great staff, always welcoming and efficient
Best meal yet - beautiful steak, fish and chicken. Amazing desert! Service was sleek - efficient but unobtrusive.
Amazing food and service. Best roast dinner I’ve ever had.
As ever our food was amazing, it really is one of our favourite places to eat. Service is usually very good but on Saturday this was very poor. We sat down and had to ask to order drinks, we had to ask for our drinks to be filled from the bottle, which was not near our table, and generally our waitress was very unattentive. This results from our overall experience not being a higher score which is a shame.
Consistently fantastic food, wonderful service and a lovely place to meet friends
A set menu at an attractive price but which seemed a bit mean overall. It maybe because our booking could only be accommodated towards the end of service.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit and hope to return many times. We were recommended by a friend who has just reached the grand age of 100. The food is really imaginative and the service very attentive without being intrusive. A memorable evening . Thank you.
Fabulous 2 course fixed price menu. Service was welcoming and attentive throughout, even though the pub was busy. Quality ingredients and well cooked dishes and accompaniments. Would recommend
Our meals were creative, delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were attentive but not intrusive, the whole evening was a most pleasant experience
Excellent food although starters were very small.Waitress very knowledgable on both food and wines.Very good service but restaurant slightly lacking in atmosphere.
The restaurant was full at dinner service and staff were working flat out. The food was good , as always. I had my usual , which was the Cornish cod- wonderfully cooked as always.
Place was very noisy, and I felt the level of service was not up to its usual standard. Food orders were missed and I had to remind our waitress of the special occasion etc.
Think I will stick to lunch for now.
Food is excellent and service is friendly and helpful. We had a really lovely evening and our friends, who had never been to the Three Oaks before, said they would definitely go back again, as we have done.
