The Three Oaks
Excellent food, excellent service. Highly recommend.
Consistently good. Monday steak night 25% off and byo wine no corkage is very good value.
After having seen reviews I booked The Three Oaks for a late Sunday lunch to catch up with old friends, we were not disappointed. Despite our booking being a late one they still had plenty of Roast need for us all.
This was my first visit to The Three Oaks and it will not be my last. I bought my wife, children and family friend here for sunday lunchtime. The whole experience was faultless. The waitress was extremely helpful and made sure our children were catered for without any problems. The food was delicious and fresh. Can't wait to come back again very soon. Many thanks.
My friend and I enjoyed our meal immensely, the brisket was to die for!! We had the table for two on the left as you enter, it was very nice and so noise level was minimal. I would ask for that table on future occasions
Excellent meal. Original flavours. Very good service in pleasant surroundings. Will certainly come regularly and recommend it to friends.
Consistently good as always. Good food, different dishes from other establishments.
Had not previously had sunday lunch but had heard a lot of good things about it so decided to give it a try
it was as good if not sligthly better than expected, dinner was good but Sticky Toffe Pudding was amazing
Good food with interesting combination of ingredients. Heavy & frequent use of mayonnaise though. Set menu is ridiculously great value. Very knowledgable staff. Glad we found this place. Will put it on the list & visit again for sure.
Good food, paying the bill took a little more time than expected
Very good food with plenty of gluten free options available
Good as always although the triple-cooked chips and frites that were previously included are now extra sides (frites only - where are the triple-cooked chips?) so a not very subtle increase in prices.
A quality offering. Superb staff / service and oh yes.............. the food holds up well too!
We had an excellent meal on Monday which is good value . The bring your own wine is an excellent idea for Monday.
We will come again !
Went for a Wedding Anniversary lunch which was very kindly recognized with a glass of fizz. Excellent, friendly service. Good Food. We shall return long before our next Anniversary!
Delicious food & excellent service form the very friendly staff
Fantastic food and already recommended to friends.
Food & service was excellent as always
Good food but small portions so you need to allow for sides which pushes up the price even more than the already pricey dishes. Not going to be a regular place for dining for that reason as it doedbt suit a pockets Service was good but took too long for mains to come out of kitchen ..also 13.5% service charge is ridiculously high for what is afterall a Pub !!
Really great seaweed gnocchi and friend’s chicken pearl barley dish. I arrived second and it took a good ten minutes for anyone to ask if I’d like a drink. Similarly slow to take order but food very tasty would choose again.
Surprisingly good. Prices are a little higher than your average gastro-pub but this is fully justified by the consistently high quality of the imaginative and nicely presented menu. The prix fixe lunch menu is really exceptional value (3 courses for £19). Very well-trained service staff. Could do with a couple more punchy reds by the glass to choose from (no Shiraz), but that's a petty complaint and generally this place is highly recommended.
The food is consistently good and the service ok - young, friendly people. Manager did a good job when we asked for a different table.
This visit was excellent. The food was delicious, the service efficient and the atmosphere was very pleasant.
The last time I had lunch at The Three Oaks it was disappointing but I could not fault this visit. We will certainly return soon.
The set course lunch that four of us chose was of the highest quality. We were forced to send our congratulations to the chef, not just once but twice. This restaurant has found the magic key and uses it without pricing its products and services into oblivion. It is a real milestone as to where British food ought to be going, and the wine list is extremely good and very well chosen. Let it please continue! Four very grateful customers.
We booked for a Monday evening - steak night with BYOB. The steaks were delicious - sides beautifully cooked and wonderful chips. The BYOB option is great for a Monday evening out. Would absolutely recommend.
Food was excellent. Will definitely return and recommend. Only slightly minus point was not enough parking space.
Steak night on a Monday is always a great success. The food, as usual, was of a high quality. Staff are always attentive and knowledgeable. BYOB is a brilliant idea even if it does result in high quantities of wine consumption.! Never had a disappointing meal at the Three Oaks.
Great place for food, we celebrated a birthday here, food lovely!
Was a great meal. The waiting staff acknowledged the door to the garden was being opened and causing a slight frustration long before we even thought about complaining and they put a sign up and locked it. It’s the small touches like that that set the 3 oaks apart.
Great food, great service ... always a pleasure
The food was a delight to look at and the taste lived up to the look. The staff were excellent, friendly and efficient.
We went there for our wedding anniversary with some friends. We had a lovely evening. The staff were very helpful and polite but did not put any pressure on you, so you did not feel rushed, but we did feel important. The food was excellent and as it was our anniversary we were given a complimentary glass of sparkling white wine each. I am happy to recommend The Three Oaks to anyone wanting a pleasant evening with some excellent food at a reasonable price considering the quality.
The usual great food as one has come to expect plus excellent friendly service. Interesting wine too. Lovely evening out.
Excellent as always, lovely food and great service.
Lovely atmosphere. Food nicely presented.
Service charge should not be added automatically but should be an option when paying.
We like the format of BYO on Monday for the brilliantly-well cooked chateaubriand. It is a really good dining experience. We bring highly rated and pricey bottles of wine that would be unaffordable if on a wine list. The high standard of cooking and easy going service makes it memorable.
Not cheap, but then you get what you pay for. Eaten here numerous times, and never had a bad experience. The food has always been excellent.
Great food as always. Quality, price and choice very good
Eaten in many good restaurants this is 11/10 even better than hand flowers
We go here every two to three months. Excellent food, fab staff. We always recommend it and the last thing we do before leaving is book again!
