Loved everything about our experience…from the hostess to the rest of the staff…they are amazing, so friendly! Beautiful views, delicious food! Can’t wait to come back!
Had a great time as usual. Great food and better people watching!
Ambience is nice. There’s music that soils over from the bar. Dining is in the Terrace not in the restaurant. Quality of the food was a bit disappointing. I had zucchini chips, tuna tartare and scallops. Tuna was fishy, scallops are not what I remember from Tower Bar. They were just buttered and loaded with salt. Desert was just ok. I’m sure the quality is due to less staff with covid. Either way the value is not there right now.
Breakfast hollandaise was not impressive . Seemed cold and prepared . The ambiance was
The table we were put at was in a corner with couch like seats. They were uncomfortable for eating dinner. The prices were very high and the quality of the food didn’t match. Both our meals came out barely warm. We sent one back since it was too cool to eat. The food was good but not great and for the price it should’ve been amazing. Service was great. The entertainment wasn’t great. During the hour and half we were there he played only one song. The piano player spent most of the time just tinkering around or taking breaks. It was supposed freeform jazz but it was more like just practicing scales.
It’s a great old school lounge/restaurant but they really need to step up their game to bring it in line with the prices.
Always a great time
Love this place
Great for a date
We had a lovely lunch outside by the pool. The service and food were excellent. This is a very special place. It never disappoints.
The Asian chicken salad with additional lobster was delicious. A little pricey, however.
Favorite LA restaurant!
Happy New Year Tower Bar. Had a lovely New Year’s Day brunch. They always offer breakfast or lunch. Food is delicious and not expensive. Hostess lovely. Staff top notch. Gorgeous view. Safe. They check you vax card. Valet out front great too. All round perfect experience. Truffle fries a must. Take home cookies. Divine latte ❤️
The hotel cancelled our reservation for Xmas eve dinner 48 hours before our planned dinner. Really poor decision leaving us no other option as all other restaurants were booked. We will never return.
Understandably restaurant shut due to covid and an abundance of caution but was unable to reach us before arriving for our reservation. Drove 40 minutes to then scramble for a late dinner option.
Our waiter was exceptional. Attentive, kind. Fabulous.
Dinner at Tower Bar was amazing. Our server Jacob was kind & professional. He checked on us throughout the evening & he made helpful suggestions. It was very busy, but Jacob was still attentive to us. The music and dim lighting made me feel like I was in a movie. I had the lobster taco & brussell sprouts. Amazing! It's a little pricey, but worth it!
Great atmosphere. Table was a bit uncomfortable and the food was overpriced but overall a nice experience.
Very tasteless and expensive meal.
Went for a girls night dinner. Amazing food and amazing drinks. One drink and I was very satisfied. Burger was amazing.
One of our favorite places, with great drinks, wonderful people-watching, and first rate service. The live entertainment is great fun, too!!
Evening was lovely. My thanks to the staff, we had a great time.
Literally loved our server she was the fuckn best!
pure heaven on sunset boulevard.... why go anywhere else
I had the best time with my friends. They came from out of town and wanted to experience a nice, chill Los Angeles evening. A friend recommended and I loved it. The cocktails were amazing. Created the right mood.
My wife and I may have quite possibly had the rudest experience at The Tower Bar last night. We frequent many high end restaurants in LA such as The Ivy, Spago, Craig’s and The Polo Lounge to name a few. Last night we decided to go to The Tower Bar for dinner because we hadn’t been for many, many years. Everything started off great, we ordered a round of drinks and appetizers but the waitress kept rushing us. Finally she told us there was a 90 minute limit and if we didn’t finish we would be moved to the cocktail lounge. We told her we would be ok with that. Then all of a sudden a different waitress showed up at our table to take our entree order so we finally ordered because at that point it was pretty apparent this was a tourist trap and they were not able to recognize local clientele. After we ordered, she came back to the table again to tell us we didn’t meet the food and beverage minimum. I told her to go back and do the math. She returned very apologetic but by that point we could not wait to leave and never come back. Such a shame because the food and ambiance is wonderful but, unfortunately, the management has no class. After dinner we went to The Polo Lounge where we were welcomed with a smile and enjoyed an after dinner drink and dessert. We will never return to The Tower Bar.
Thanksgiving late lunch here was amazing. Great service, amazing food. Definitely exceeded my expectations and blew a traditional home cooked thanksgiving dinner out of the water. Price was on par for what you’d expect here but definitely a pricey experience. But I’d say fully worth it. 9.75/10
This place is spectacular and hits high on all notes. ❤️
Wonderful thanksgiving meal, great view. Excellent service from Angel and Pedro.
It was AMAZING. I came for one of my best friends’ birthday, so I wanted to treat her to something special. It wasn’t my first time there but it was super good and it always tastes the same or gets better each time. I always get the pancakes and potatoes, the scenery and service, staff, food, the whole experience was a 10/10. Thanks a bunch for a lovely time, every time!! :)
Extremely disappointed and sad that I dined here. I was looking forward to this experience so much and was treated terribly. I was completely disregarded from the moment I checked into my reservation. I felt like I was literally in the segregated Jim Crow south. I wasn’t welcomed there and it showed by all of the staff. Not one person was friendly or attentive. It sucks that I patronized The Tower Bar. I feel terrible I’m so tired of racism wasn’t expecting this treatment
Nothing on the menu was memorable or stood out. The food was forgettable which was a shame for the price.
Amazing experience, we were there for quite some time with a very important. client, food was great, service amazing, everyone there was extremely nice. Would go back in a second.
I always have a beautiful time at Tower Bar…food, ambience, service are always next level. We took our friend, Edward there for his birthday . So much fun!
Great time. Great service. Valet was quick. Drinks were delicious as was the food.
All great. Only problem was that we were told when we had to give up our table before we even sat down.
$44 for a hamburger! $15 sides! I had fried chicken which was excellent as were the truffle mashed potatoes. My partner had a dozen excellent oysters. She said her cocktail was perfectly made. It's funny how many top restaurants have steeply raised prices as customers have come back. The current dining room seating layout is far less packed than the original pre-Covid one was and it's quieter and more pleasant.
Disappointing. As a regular for many years, new rules are shocking unfriendly. We were literally booted from our table based on a 1.5 hour time limit despite waiting for our food nearly 50 minutes after ordering; when we ordered we were not permitted to order appetizers first, and later perhaps an entree or dessert; we were required to everything we wanted all at the same time. If that weren't oppressive enough, apparently 4 drinks and 4 appetizers (for 2 people) wasn't expensive enough for the restaurant - we were required to purchase at least one additional entree. We were seated at a table on the mezzanine between the doors. It was so jammed close to one side that there was no room to pull out the chair, so we moved the table about 8 inches to do so. I was suddenly accosted by an employee who rudely moved the table back inhibiting my ability to stand up. Finally, valet admitted to scraping my car but still charged me the usurious $20 fee and refused to even pay for a detail to try to rub out the scratches. The whole experience showed a complete lack of class and responsibility that just doesn't feel good.
I dine at Tower Bar every time I visit Los Angeles. It is the best meal in town. A perfectly shaken martini, delicious fried chicken, and the best custom sundaes prepared from dozens of ingredients. Gaby and every member of the staff are professionals and always make you feel like a valued patron. So many restaurants have suffered during Covid, the Tower Bar has only gotten better!
