   Treated like gold! Very quiet when we were there…unfortunately 😳. They treated us like gold and the food was perfect. Best chicken sandwich in the world!! Aioli to die for!!!

   The buttermilk chicken reminds me of my mother's - delicious. The poke rice bowl was nice, but a little too many jalapenos for our taste. All the salads are creative, fresh and tasty. Also should mention the portion sizes are very generous.

   Servers were very knowledgeable about gluten free options on the menu. Carne Asada, Salmon Bowl and Poke Bowl were all delicious. Appetizers were fine. Be warned: the desserts are HUGE!

    We have eaten at The Tropicale many times and always enjoy it immensely. The food never disappoints - both the specials and the items on the regular menu - and the servers do not leave you waiting. Their brisket burger is one of the best hamburgers my husband and I have ever eaten. The patio always has a party-like ambiance and even in the heat of summer, it stays cool with the misters and ceiling fans. In winter, the patio heaters keep us nice and toasty.

    Tropicale has brunch down to a science. Team members not only moved with grace and efficiency, they looked like they were having fun and enjoyed each other’s company. My party and I were very impressed. Thank you for a fun experience! We’ll be back!

    Kinda had high hopes for Tropicale based on reviews and a friend who hd been before, but I was disappointed. The ambiance is pretty dark which results in multiple people shining their phone flashlights on the menu blinding other diners. Jacob was an awesome waiter and provided nice recommendations and personal conversation. We enjoyed the calamari appetizer. My husband said the carne asada was "decent" and was let down by the quality of store bought tortillas accompanying his meal. After all the amazing reviews for the fried chicken, how could I go wrong ordering it? Sadly, the fried chicken was over battered resulting in thick, gummy, undercooked batter in the crevices. The succotash tasted like it was a frozen mixed that was microwaved & served. The mashed potatoes and congealed gravy were mediocre. By the time our waiter returned to check in on us, I had eaten what I could and told him honestly (and reluctantly) what I thought. He took my comments back to the chef who's concern was not with my experience, but whether I had eaten it. They offered us complementary ice cream, but we declined. I looked at Yelp reviews later to see if it was a one off but sadly others have had poor experiences with the fried chicken as well. Proceed with caution.

    Food was terrible. Should have left after we saw a pizza with avocado on it but we tried to stick with the basics and we’re totally underwhelmed. Caesar salad was over dressed and lacked flavor. Pizza was doughy and tasted like a frozen pizza. Coconut shrimp were like long John silver.

    Food is decent; nothing to daring or cutting edge, service can be rushed and spotty at times. The food comes out of the kitchen at lightning-fast speed so if you're in the mood for a leisurely meal this is not the place for you. Turn 'em and burn 'em is the name of the game here. Atmosphere is outstanding.

    We had a very good first experience at the Tropicale. The woman who greeted and seated us was delightful and welcoming. She started our visit on just the right note! The waitstaff was equally attentive and professional. The food was tasty and nicely presented. Our only recommendation would be to expand the entree options to include a few more items, as the entree choices seemed a bit limited (another seafood option would be perfect). Overall, we truly enjoyed our dinner and look forward to returning to Tropicale.

    First time in The Tropicale. Great to have the greeter seat us and give us options with heat warnings in place. Only there for lunch before a movie, but a good menu. Would certainly come back to try more of the menu and the outdoor vibe. Great mid century tiki theme.

    We’ve been coming to The Tropicale for many years. Although the food was never great, it was decent enough for us to keep coming back years after years, because of its fun atmosphere. We met with our friends who were visiting from LA, the night was full of people celebrating their bachelorette parties (just like Abbey in LA, the gay bars are gradually being taken over by the bachelorette parties), it was definitely louder than the past. Our server wasn’t mostly attentive, she was rather short with us, maybe she had bigger table to tend to. I got their fried chicken, which was extremely disappointing. It was mostly thick layers of hard chewy batter. My friends dishes were much better either. Disappointing!!

    We came for Palm Springs restaurant week, and tried the small plates menu. The ribs were amazing and meaty! The goat cheese salad was beautiful as well as delicious. We also had a mango margarita and a cucumber martini.

    The food was good! Everything is more expensive than it should be. There are fine restaurants in Palm Springs that are similarly priced and much better and more unique. The service was terrible except for the bus staff. This one time jewel of Palm Springs is consistently going downhill.
