Fabulous welcome, and nothing too much trouble. This place is out of the way, so quite quiet in the week, but deserves lots and lots of visitors. We ordered the small meze hohoho - lots and lots of food and everything good, and served with very good grace. I wish there was a restaurant like this in Norwich! Next time I'm hoping there'll be retsina available, though I know many people hate it. We'll be back working in the area again in the Summer - hope there'll be some in the fridge!

First time dining in at The Village Greek and there were no other tables taken in the restaurant but I'm not sure why - the food was brilliant, fresh and simple just like Greek food should be. Service was very good as well (I know it was quiet but the guy was very attentive), he gave recommendations on the food which I always appreciate and let me know what the dish I ordered was just to make sure I had the right understanding. Good value food and drinks and I look forward to coming again

It was very quiet, just us and one other table. The service was excellent but the food was quite bland.
The calamari was tasteless and my sea bass was over cooked.
Not the best Greek meal I have ever had.

Absolutely brilliant.
Food exelent. Staff amazing.
Still cant believe how the young lady and young man managed to deal with everything at such a speedy pace.
Hard working people.
I know my greek food and i can honestly say it was perfect.
It was my first time in this place. Very clean.
Good reasonable prices.
I did feel sorry for them but they must be use to the rushing around.
Will definitely go again.
The chef knows how to cook.

well worth the long walk over from Tufnell Park for a feast of delights! It really is a good idea to build up an excellent appetite as even the 3/4 meze is emense. Plus it's all so delicious that you won't want to leave anything. The fish is moistly perfectly cooked, the pork so full of flavour , wine lovely, service sensational and all such good value. thank you to all involved.

Felt food was over priced for what we had and was just ok. Service pleasant and helpful and we were not rushed at all - which was great. Not much atmosphere though. Not rush back!

Good food and the Meze is great value - there is actually too much food but they are happy to box it up for you if you don't manage to eat it all. The only downside is the lack of ambience as even on a weekend it is rarely busy - deserves to be busier.

I really don't like giving bad reviews but it may help the restaurant to improve its service.
We went on Valentines day and we were packed in so that people kept on bumping into me!
The food took ages to arrive with no explanation of expected times.
Starter was not good but main fish course was good as was husbands lamb.
A drunken guy was mouthing off right at the bar which was totally annoying.
So def not going there again. Staff were friendly though. Might be better on a normal day but dont fancy it myself.

This is a good place for a decent Greek meal. Food is authentic, competent, well priced with a good range in the menu and wine list. Quiet in mid-week evenings.

We went on. Sunday afternoon and is just us dining there. We got the set for 2 (fish and meat). Food is very nice, fish is fresh except it is quite salty. Other than that, will definitely go back again .

I have been to the Village Greek on a number of occasions and not once have I been disappointed. The service is always very friendly and the food is always excellent. The last twice I have been we have shared a full meze and if anything there is to much food however thanks to the take away service we have left nothing.

I have been to this restaurant many times and it never fails me. The owner and staff and very efficient and helpful. My only complaint would be that they don't have a vast selection of vegetarian meals and would love to see veggie moussaka and veggie dolmades on the menu, other than that it is faultless and the young waitress was lovely.

The starters were lovely - beetroot in garlic, spinach and cheese parcels and haloumi and set us up well for the main courses of chicken kebab with salad and the other being seabreem with rice and salad.

The kebab came in a large pitta with tomatoes, cucumber and a great deal of sliced onion. Aside from the chilli sauce, there was little flavouring to speak of and the dish was very bland. There is only so much raw onion one person can consume in one sitting.

The seabreem was described as a fillet but the majority of bones were still in it and there was not much meat on the fish. It was also bland in flavour - the usual lemon and parsley combination.

The waiter was cheerful and helpful and liked to chat but shame about the food

They try hard here but the food was only "fair" - my meat (Lamb on the bone) was overcooked, Moussaka is made with Lamb mince - they use pork - no no! . Would have preferred to have paid 20% more and got a higher standard of food - shame - nice people but put your prices up, serve a higher standard of food and charge more for it - for these reasons I cannot recommend nor will I go back......

This was our first visit to The Village Greek in New Barnet. It is a very friendly resturant with a very good selection of starters and main courses. The four of us decided on the Meze which was highly recommended by other reviewers. The seafood course was particularly good as the Seabream ,prowns and squid werw all fresh and beautifully cooked. We couldn'd finish the last meat course and they put it in the container to take it home. Very enjoyable evening and highly recommended.

Our third time at this restaurant was so very disapointing , the tables were cramed together , there were several very load parties who had no respect to other diners . We were pushed , jostled and knocked everytime peple pushed passed . We did not even get our main cousre as after nearly 2 hours we gave up .
Not to be repeated !!!

The Village Greek
Great food, great value for money, good atmosphere .

Top tip
Don't pig out on the breads and dips as you will struggle to eat the meat courses ! !
But don't worry if you do don't be shy and ask to take left overs home , just as hood the next day for lunch
Great night
Many thanks

Lively and buzzing venue. A little on the noisy side if you want an intimate dinner. We had a round table for the fours of us at the abck which was great as it was quieter there! Food excellent. Staff extremely attentive and friendly and really added to the fun evening for the 4 of us. Food was very authentic and would recommend a visit.

This was our first time visiting the Village Greek. It was very quiet, only one other group in the restaurant but the food was fantastic and the service was very good. My Dad abd I shared the meze which was very good value for money, only £18.50 for a huge amount of food, some of which we had to take home with us! Highly recommended.

A little bit of a disaster as we had to leave the restaurant before ordering any food or drink. There was a wedding party occupying a substantial amount of the restaurant, there was live music which was so loud you couldn't hear yourself speak. As we wanted to talk to our friends as well as eat we decided we couldn't stay. The staff were understanding of our situation but I believe we should have been contacted beforehand to explain the situation.

Wht a find! We had a lovely meal chossing the 3/4 Meze ( as I alsways find that I am 'overfaced') which enabled you to choose meat or fish to finish. We were a party of four and therefore had meat for two and fish for two. There was still far too much food but all deliicious and excellent valus at £100 for four including a tip and two bottles of wine.
