Roast chicken was not that great. Skin not crispy at all and potatoes not crispy either. Yorkshire tasted industrial vs home made.
However staff are friendly and the pub has a nice atmosphere
Went on Wednesday night with kids and grandparents ; we had a lot of fun with the quizz night ; very authentic experience : even Morris dancers turned up unexpectedly ; fish and chips is the best in the neighbourhood ; staff really kind and helpful
Great food and friendly service. Would go again. Was pleased to see they had my fave wine
We had a lovely family get together.
I was able to book online for a party of 7.
Only disappointment was that they had run out of roast beef but we were there after 5pm so it shows what a popular place the Warwick Castle is and the roast chicken was great with lovely vegetables.
Thanks for the lovely relaxing atmosphere and great service.
Really happy with the cheerful service and food was lovely
Shown to our reserved table which was absolutely covered in food / debris and the floor underneath was a puddle. When we raised this they moved us to a different table which didn't really fit everyone around it. Then they came back and said they had cleaned the table and mopped the floor and we could have our original table. The table was still pretty dirty.
Ordered at the bar and at one point one of the bartender came over and said to one of us quite aggressively "you didn't order those chips did you?" and tried to take them away despite my friend most definitely having ordered them.
I ordered a G&T which when I tasted was clear had been made with soda water instead of tonic. I went to the bar thinking it was a simply mistake with the soda tap but as they sell bottles of tonic that can't be the case. The bartender proceeded to take the glass, take a sip from it himself, discard the contents and make me a new G&T in the same glass. Very unhygienic and not what I would expect from a professional bartender.
Food was ok - underwhelming. Will not return.
We only came for drinks so haven't had a chance to sample the food yet, but the pub is cosy and very special with a fireplace and a jovial ambiance - even in the middle of snowy winter!
The Warwick Castle is an authentic Victorian pub - I mean so authentic it's getting a bit tatty round the edges. It is a cosy setting for a romantic date or Sunday lunch, but not really smart enough for a business lunch which is what I booked it for...
Was there late Sunday night so not really sure on the views, but was a lovely quaint little pub with a lovely roaring fire very friendly bar staff. Wanted a Sunday roast but unfortunately they had run out which was the only downside of my experience. Would definitely recommend this place for a romantic meal, Sunday roast or get together with friends.
The pub is in a good location close to the canal in Little Venice and just 10 minutes walk from Paddington station. The bar staff were very attentive and friendly. The menu is fairly small but offers a good range. The burgers were tasty but could have been hotter as the meals were a little on the cool side. Overall, a nice evening out and not too pricey for London.
We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere at the Warwick Castle. We had booked a table at 8pm for dinner and order food shortly after getting there. We were disappointed however that nobody warned us that the kitchen closed at 9pm, and so we did not manage to get dessert.
Frances and her team looked after our group. She offered a warm welcome and had a nice window table ready and reserved for us. As a nice addition we were given Christmas crackers.
The food was delicious, with good portion sizes and the menu had enough variety to cater for our group.
The atmosphere was great in the bar area and we were lucky enough to have free entertainment from a spontaneous group of Morris Dancers who decided to dance. The venue was festively decorated, adding to the cosy, welcoming ambiance.
Visited in November 2017 Lovely authentic pub with friendly staff. Thank you!
Unfortunately the food was not very good and the seating area was very drab.
the food and décor were lovely, but the staff who served us made it really personal and special.
Really friendly service. Great atmosphere. Calamari starter was fantastic. Smokehouse burger was very good.
When we arrived, having booked a table, the pub wasn't yet open - something staff getting the rota wrong - so we had to wait outside for 20 minutes. Ordered a pint which was clearly cloudy but the bar person served it anyway and I had to take it back. Of three main courses ordered, two were appealing: a club sandwich served on un-toasted soft white bread which could only be eaten with a knife and fork and a pie served with a pot of gravy with a good 5mm of fat on the surface.
Have gone here several times for drinks in the past and always found it pleasant but won't we going again for food I am afraid!!
Really nice place to take some pals from USA for their first night pub grub and ale. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely cosy pub, friendly staff and the best cheeseburger!
We had booked an early evening meal for four after a female afternoon at the Royal Academy and a male afternoon on the golf course. By 6 o'clock we were looking forward to a good meal! We were not disappointed.
We chose four different main courses from the menu and were all very pleased with our food. I chose the Warwick burger which was delicious. The food was simple but well cooked and well presented. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We will be back.
Very good (Eurovision) night out with the family!Excellent food and beers as always!
Food was delivered cold and not worth the money. Drinks order was wrong.decor was scruffy on the inside and covered in scaffolding on the outside
Cheery greeting. Good burger. Great location. Nice spot in Little Venice.
Lovely neighbourhood pub that serves excellent food at reasonable prices.
Our favourite items on the menu are the scallops starter and the flat iron steak and this was my second visit within 4 weeks--yup that good!!
Be warned tho -- we both like our steaks rare to medium rare and definitely NOT medium NOR blue/bloody. On the first occasion we ordered the steaks rare and they came out blue and had to be sent back to be put on the griddle for another few minutes. On the second occasion, after the earlier experience, we ordered them medium rare however they both still came out rare and had to be put on the griddle for another few minutes! But on both visits the service was friendly and wonderful.
The Barman was lovely and very helpful.
The food was good.
The place if dirty and need to be redone!
A nice local pub with excellent food.
Good service and a varied menu choice. enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere at a weekend plus the fireplace made it extra cosy.
Friendly service and clientele, good beer and very decent food in a wood-pannelled pub. Good quiz night, too.
Booked initially for convenient location but was pleasantly surprised by both the quality of the food and the nice friendly service. Also, a nice treat to eat near an open fire on a cold day!
Not expensive and no sense of being hurried along, even after a 3 hour natter.
As always, the ambience was very pleasant, and as we were seated at a table in the rear room we had an excellent situation for the discussions that filled the evening. Service was very friendly, as I have always found it to be, and the food was excellent. Although the Warwick Castle is a 15-minute walk from home, I have come to think of it as my local, and I will certainly bring friends there whenever an opportunity arises. In addition, earlier experiences at the pub have shown that it is a dog-friendly establishment, an important consideration for dog-lovers throughout the area. Highly recommended.
Good local pub. Staff are the friendliest (and most competent) of all the Maida Vale options. Open fires are great in winter. Food is better-than-average quality standard pub fare. Recommended.
Nice enough pub with a decent menu. Not too crowded. Straightforward.
A big boohoo to open table and Warwick castle allowing me to book a table at 21:00 but the kitchen closed at that time. Arrived with my elderly dad, having walked 2km to get there to be turned dish. Warwick castle could have called to say so. Disappointing!
Excellent food and a good, friendly service. I would highly recommend the Warwick Castle.
Food piping hot and fresh. Excellent! Couldn't be faulted and the sweet potato fries .... :)
very pleasant little pub, dinner for 2, nice evening, large windows open wide, quiet back street, people drinking outside in the street, 12 mins pleasant walk from Paddington
Lovely old pub with a nice menu something for everyone. Really helpful staff , lovely young man that served us made a nice birthday meal.
This place is superb! Great service, lovely location and great food.
Friendly local pub with great sharing plates (I recommend the sausage platter). Traditional decor. Service was friendly and efficient despite the lack of staff.
It's so easy to book here for small groups. The burgers are best to order love the olives too. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Cute decor. Good music (apparently Adrian is responsible for that 😂👍).
