The Warwick Castle
Our Christmas menu is only available if ordered in advance.
The Warwick Castle is a lovely locals haunt set in the heart of Little Venice, welcoming visitors and neighbours to the area since 1848. Although updated the changes have been faithful to the original decor and charm of the building.
We pride ourselves on our genuine friendliness and warmth. There is something for each customer to enjoy, whether it is a chilled glass of delicious wine enjoyed at our outside tables in the lovely mews of Warwick Place on a sunny afternoon or stopping for a pint and slice of homemade sausage rolls in front of our open log fires on a winter's evening, we welcome you all.
Absolutely dreadful. Unwelcoming hosts. Cold pub. Food appalling. Had there been a no star rating I would have awarded it that. Shame. It has such good possibilities.
Despite booking a table on open table, when we arrive we were turned away. There was no apology and no attempt to try and make us welcome/ find us a table.
Don’t trust any booking you make - they probably won’t have room for you!
We love going here - it’s not pretentious - food is good and the ambience (if you want a local neighbourhood pub) is fabulous.
Love ambiance, cosy and very Christmassy. We booked a table and they held it for us even though we were 15min late.
Loved the food. Great options for vegetarians. Wonderful staff.
Great atmosphere, lovely to walk to along the canal. Lovely staff and great seating areas.
The staff were absolutely great, lovely, helpful and friendly.
The only downside was that our roast dinner took an hour to come as there had been a 'mix up in the kitchen' we were offered drinks to compensate for the wait, which we appreciated. However I felt the portion size was fairly small for a roast dinner, 2 thin slices of beef, one carrot, 2 small roast potatoes, kale, suede puree and a small yorkshire pudding for £16. I left hungry, and quite disappointed. Real shame as the pub is lovely across all other aspects.
I had Sunday lunch here with a group of old Uni friends, one of whom was a vegetarian and we were all happy with the food (but would ask for custard to be added to the menu for the crumble!).
The service was very friendly and we really enjoyed our visit. Lovely location too!
Classic old fashioned pub full of character. Just sit down chat and idle the afternoon away. Good food as well. Really laid back.
Friendly place in an interesting neighborhood. Good selection of beers. Food was okay - it’s not a gastropub dining experience but prices are reasonable.
A very traditional pub with wonderful food!
Great pub, good food, reasonable menu and prices, friendly staff.
Had a great meal of fish and chips. Lovely location and a nice ambience too.
Just enough off the beaten track to avoid hoards of tourists, but easy to find and to get to and the regulars don't seem to object to newcomers.
I would have preferred my gravy to be thickened and not to have our beer glasses taken away before we'd completely finished, but otherwise we really enjoyed our meal at the Warwick Castle. It has a good atmosphere and with the open doors to the dining area, it's the next best thing to sitting outside. The portions were a reasonable size, the roast beef was not overdone, the roast potatoes were just as they should be and the pace of the service was easy and relaxed.
Nice warm staff. Err we due a discount using open table? Didn’t get one but it was a great experience. Thanks to all.
We went for a Fathers Day lunch with our twins. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was tasty and served quickly. Perfect !!
My husband and I are from the US and stop every time we are in London. My husband loves your fish and chips, and I enjoy your vegetarian options.
Friendly and helpful host. We both had the Sunday roast, both my chicken and partners beef were over cooked. Probably kept warm for too long, the veg was ok but small portions. For puddings my Chocolate brownie was tasty but too gooey, partners fruit crumble was mostly fruit but the crumble amounted to a handful of crumbs scattered on top
This is a lovely little local’s pub tucked away in a very expensive property area.
While the staff and the character of the pub is inviting, Unfortunately the food is a little disappointing- even if staying with the basics (burger/fish & chips etc).
I will likely visit again, but not to eat - other than a sandwich etc
Traditional no-nonsense pub with a good selection of (proper) beers.
Would happily return when in the area.
Waiter was friendly and attentive (brilliant memory - took our food and drinks order for six without writing anything down, and got it all right, down to our fussy Sally who wanted her food just do). Food was decent pub grub at reasonable prices. Love this pub.
Lovely meal, really lovely staff, highly recommend !
I just love this family pub! The staff is nice and the place feels like home.
Yes for and drink and games and nice Sunday atmosphere. Food was really dry and tasteless though, especially for the price we paid.
Booked for a Sunday Lunch and was notified after arrival that they had run out. Given this was at least 2/3rds of the Menu not available I would have expected prior notification. We left and found a much nicer place round the corner.
some of the worst food I've seen served up in a pub in years.

A gold "old fashioned" Pub, with decent beer and good pub grub
Lunched here on Tuesday. Very friendly welcome and good service throughout the meal. Good choice of beers on draught, although our first choice wasn't available. Two dishes on the menu were also “off”. No more than ten people in the bar at any time, but the noise level was quite high, even though our table was in a side room. Despite this, the food was good and the portions generous. A good pub lunch.
Perfectly good food. Service s bit lacking but was a busy Sunday. Surroundings very nice a real pub.
Very understated low-key local pub serving absolutely delicious food at sensible prices. A revelation and I’ll definitely go back. You definitely need to book tho, as there are very few tables available.
We we're looking for a traditional pub and The Warwick Castle was just right. Good food, especially the fruit cobbler, and pleasant ambiance.
A little gem. This pub has the feel of a local pub but in London.Sheer quality.
Best classic pub fare in Maida Vale — by far.
The food was nice and Service was outstanding. Indeed a good choice when looking for an authentic place to spend some time
Fantástico y típico Pub inglés. Increíble su pastel de carne y el fish & chips. Lo mejor, el trato recibido.
Un saludo desde España
We really enjoyed our meal at the Warwick Castle. The food was fantastic and all four of us loved our meals (including two kids). The service was friendly and it was traditional pub-style ordering. We look forward to eating here again!
Service wonderful. Food very average. Hamburger bun stone cold and nut roast appalling (like mush)
Best food to order is the roast by far
Sunday roast and a glass of red were perfect on an Autumn Sunday. Atmosphere was cosy and chilled. The food was great and the veg were particularly tasty. I would highly recommend.
Friendly bar staff and a good, hearty Sunday lunch menu.
This used to be a shabby pub, so in comparison it has been transformed, it is quirky, the furniture/décor interesting. It is airy in the summer as they are able to open windows and doors and have separate dinning areas. The ethos feel of the pub has always been and still is ''we apologise for nothing''. I think the service is reasonable but they don't give platitudes. When the hot water for drinks is off continually they just tell you, they don't fall over themselves to apologise and I get that. The food is good, as overpriced as most average pubs in Central London. I like the place. There is a lot of local events going on there too. They cater for locals that have been going for years and years and just want to be left alone to have a quiet drink as well as parties of cheery folks just wanting to hang out.
