Would absolutely recommend this place , so chilled out and the staff are very friendly and attentive. We are here three to four times a year and have found the dining experience to be of a consistently high standard , well done Waterfront and Radisson Blu .
Had dinner here 3 nights as staying at the hotel. Not a huge choice on the menu but what we had was good, although what arrived on the plate was not always what was on the menu! The first night we chose from the set menu and all was really good, but the vegetables were not as described. The second night we chose from the a la carte menu, it was my partner's birthday. That meal was also very good, although the ice cream was missing from my desert. The third night was a disappointment. We were told only the a la carte menu was available. From that, there were only 2 starters left so we didn't bother with those. My main course, pork belly, arrived with the ham hock croquet missing and the "honey roasted root vegetables " consisted of a few small sticks of carrot. I sent it back to have the missing croquet added. When it returned all that had been added were 3 strIps of crackling that were so hard I couldn't eat them. Apparently they had run out of croquettes too. We did receive a discount but all in all the meal was a let down. It seems there is something going wrong in the kitchen both with stock control and attention to detail when serving. The staff serving in the restaurant are lovely, particularly Florentina. Also, Special thanks to Hanni who looked after us very well.
Our table was booked for 6pm. We were seated at 6.05 but did not receive our starters til 6.40. Poached egg was hard and over powering beetroot with too little goat cheese.
We had to ask for our main course at 7pm as we were due to attend a show in the next room at 7pm.
Sea bass was so salty. I like seasoning but was excessive. Chef obviously didn’t pay attention.
Such a shame the kitchen let the whole restaurant down. Waiting staff and bar staff are excellent and they were embarrassed by service from the kitchen.
Very very low lighting and no music put on until 7pm.
Perhaps the presence of a manager would improve things.
Service was a bit chaotic but the food was excellent.
Background music was too loud
The buffet offered lots of good quality choices, which was appreciated, but it was a very crowded area at peak time. A member of staff was needed to explain the options available and the layout of the dishes, as everyone was queuing for the first course at one end of the room, but didn't realise that there was another table with the same options at the other end.
There was also a mis-communication over my booking. Following my initial booking on-line, I phoned to increase the number of people and change the time of our reservation. On the day before our booking, I received a reminder of the booking from Open Table, which had the correct (revised) time on it, but the wrong number of people. So I phoned again to advise that we required 9 seats + high chair, rather than 6, as the booking reminder stated (the original booking had been for 5 people). I was informed that this was "all sorted" and there was no problem. However, on arrival, we were directed to a table set for 6, so the changed number had not been made on the system, as promised. Fortunately another table was found at the last minute, but the staff could have done without the extra hassle of having to find extra cutlery, glasses, high chair etc. when they were already extremely busy.
The free bottles of prosecco for the ladies in our party did help to compensate for the other factors, however, as did the complimentary flowers, which the children were invited to give to their mum. We also appreciated not being charged for the bottles of still and sparkling water.
Food was amazing although unfortunately I’d asked for my stake medium rare and it was rare although my friend who had asked for medium rare also was cooked great so not sure what happened with mines!
The food was great, as was the service. Unfortunately the music was too loud and intrusive.
Sunday lunch Carvery style
Food was good , decent Sunday lunch and good job by the kitchen, sadly, front of house let them down badly.
Moody uninterested staff, no one appeared to be in charge and looking around me staff seemed lacking in training
A real shame as a lovely location with stunning views .
A bit of leadership by your management team and this would be a real winner
Had to wait to be seated as no one at desk for several minutes. Loose tea available but no tea strainer available when asked for one they bought out a dirty coffee strainer. Food regularly ran out and coffee machines only dispensing hot milk
The menu is limited and disappointing as was the bland curry and very overcooked bok choi side dish. By 9.15pm tables around us were being set for breakfast. There was no ambiance and not a great night.( The staff in the bar offer great customer service)
Had my birthday breakfast buffet here. Mentioned to the staff that it was my birthday. I received a birthday slice of cheesecake.
Friendly and went the extra 'yard'.
Overall good evening despite a fairly large party in the Restaurant.
Uncooked soft poached egg in starter - waiter thought it was ok but egg whites were clear and raw ! Handed it back but they still tried to charge for it.
Offhand service (except young lady) - Waiter spoke to colleagues over his shoulder as he placed my dish down.
They had allowed non-dining organisers of Triathlon a breakout area in section of restaurant. Well behaved but not an appropriate outlook for a £30/40 pp dinner.
Much better dining on Jersey - avoid.
We had the set menu and the food we chose was delicious; the fillet steak which was included in the Surf and Turf was really tender, and the lobster very tasty. And as for the cheese board, it was fantastic. We have eaten here before and the food has always been good, but this time it was superb!
Menu almost the same every night. Lighting very poor and oppressive. Service poor although Fabrina was excellent. Good selection for breakfast . Coffee always a little cold.
Food was very good and reasonably priced. Service was a little on the slow side but the staff were very pleasant. Excellent location overlooking the marina.
Excellent food, service ok but not much atmosphere. Would recommend and will be returning.
Had a lovely meal here over half term. Great location service and food. Would come again
Food superb ... some items not available which spoilt the evening somewhat service a little slow but overall I'd frequent again in my next visit to jersey
Enjoyed the meal but too long to wait between courses
Wonderful night out
Great food and a nice atmosphere. The staff were very attentive.
Had the 241 Sunday brunch - people were nice food okay - would use again.
Was ok until they charge us £35 for a 10 year old who ate one slice of beef half a potato and a chocolate brownie
We were a family party of 13 for Mothers Da, including children and elderly people. The service was next to non-existent; we had to go up to the bar and asked for someone to turn to take our drinks order. When we sat down no one came to our table to take wine order or give us menus, the food was mediocre at best . It was a buffet style carvery, but the self-serve area was hugely inadequate for the size of the restaurant and a lot of the dishes was constantly empty. We had to ask for coffees and even then we had to go round the table and compile the order for the waitress. Having asked for the bill several times, it only arrived when we got up to leave. Very disappointing for a major hotel chain and we wouldn't recommend it.
Unfortunately the buffet ran out of a choice of meat and completely of roast potatoes so half of our group had no choice but to have what was left. The dining room is lovely with comfy chairs and a wonderful view, unfortunately there was a band playing and the singer was very loud spoiling the ambience.
Perfect place to spend New Year's Day with visitors.
Food was lovely - although the Yorkshire Pudding was quite tasteless and my visitors had to hunt for horseradish sauce. But overall, great variety and of course, as much as you can eat.
Staff were great and very attentive, asking several times if all was ok.
Hi if I could forward one criticism only it has got to go down on the glass plate
which I think are totally inadequate for this elegant place.
We enjoyed Sunday lunch. The Waterfront provides a special price for this meal which is every good as the more expensive times. The food, wine, service and ambiance make this a great choce for ameal anytime.
Have eaten many times as this is a regular business hotel. Generally poor service and the last meal I was served contain raw king prawns. The steak can be good though.
Fantastic food, great service, great overall experience
Very slow service. Seated at 1900 - starters (soup) didn't arrive until 1945 and one of them was served incorrectly. Main course didn't arrive until 2030. We gave up on dessert. Overpriced for what it is. A special occasion ruined by lack of staff, resources & infrastructure. Staff were friendly, but no follow up &/or apology re the delay. I wouldn't recommend dining here.
We went to celebrate my parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary, all the staff congratulated them and we were all given a glass of complimentary prosecco, the food was superb to say the least.
Disappointing...the restaurant itself is very nice with a great location on the harbour. However the staff got someones meal wrong on every course, items were missing, something turned up cold, and an extra desert appeared that hadn't even been mentioned. The food was fairly good, probably a bit above average, but whether it was communication issues with the staff or them not paying attention, the whole experience was frustrating, there were so many mistakes. They did rectify them each time, but this should not happen in the first place. Would I go again? only if I was part of a group that had booked, if I was choosing the restaurant, then no I wouldn't.
Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe how we all felt. Over 5 minutes waiting to be shown to our table despite at least four different staff members walking past us.
Salmon and crab timbale was mushy and the crab was not fresh
the ribeye steak was thin and tough
my £30+ fillet was medium well, despite me asking for rare
We had to ask for napkins
Red wine was cold
two words in latin:
We came here for breakfast on Father's Day and it was brilliant. Very welcoming staff, accommodating to one of our group who is a vegan and 2 small children. The breakfast buffet was delicious and we also ordered from the menu too which was lovely. Many thanks, we will be coming back again.
We booked the table in the restaurant as we are staying at the Radisson Blu hotel on holiday.
We can't fault the food or service - nothing is too much trouble here.
We plan to book a table again on the last night of our holiday and will definitely return again - hopefully later this year.
Sunday lunch is the best value and tasting lunch in Jersey! Two for one with the kids eating free! Amazing
Booked on the day through opentable, no problems.
We were able to choose from the set menu and the a la carte, which was good as we ordered from both.
The restaurant has a relaxing feel to it, the tables are not cramped together, so you can have a conversation.
The service was good, not rushed, the staff were good, polite and helpful.
The White Zinfandel, we had was reasonably priced.
All in all, it was a very pleasant evening, I would recomend the Waterside to everyone.
Having been to The Waterfront Restaurant on a few occasions, I'm not usually disappointed. However on this occasion the service really let the restaurant down. We sat for 15 minutes before having to ask for drinks (no water or anything offered) - staff had seen us arrive but weren't proactive in their service. We then sat for another 15 minutes before asking if we could order our dinner. Then half an hour later we'd had all 3 courses, which had been brought in such quick succession we barely had time to breathe between each one!! Staff seemed to think we were doing a runner when we went through to the lounge for coffee (which our waitress told us we could do) and chased us for payment, which left a bit of a sour taste. The '2 for 1' Sunday lunch is good value for money though.
Overall the food was pleasant but we felt largely ignored by the staff (until they felt we were doing a bunk without paying, which we clearly weren't) and the service wasn't great. The coffee in the lounge/bar area was lovely though and the staff there were much more attentive. Great band playing too!
