Plenty of food good quality. Service was good despite how busy it was. Quite noisy due to amount if guests but would definitely go again.
Yes, we would recommend a friend based on our previous experiences over the last 4 years. As the ambience, service and food has always been exceptional.
However, based on this booking for our Valentine meal, we were very disappointed with the presentation of the restaurant.( No table cloths, no 🌹 rose petals or rose folded napkins, no chocolates) all of which were part of the Valentines Meal Evening last year.
The ambience was none existent, very quiet and only 10 people booked in the restaurant with most staff at the adjoining function room. Hence, the service was abysmal. Our bread 🥖 did not arrive till 1 hour after our order and we were left with the taster plates in front of us for 20 minutes. Orders were sent to wrong tables and the waitress in charge lacked both the experience and interpersonal relationship skills to deal with any complaints.
When we asked for an email address in order to make our complaints to the Manager, the front f house waitress was unable to provide us with the details. She then insisted we speak with the manager and kept us waiting another 20 minutes.
All in all, the evening couldn’t compare with all our previous experiences and was a bit of a let down.
One word “atrocious “ . No set menu or a la cartel menu offered , only the valentines and bar menus available, obviously short staffed as well . We have been long term customers to this establishment but shall seriously think twice before any future booking .
Very nice food and a delicious French Malbec. Enjoyed it so much went back for more!
Was great food. Wine pushed up the bill. I felt a little rushed towards the end as they wanted to tidy up.
Lovely restaurant. Excellent food and the staff were super. Definitely worth a visit.
A good pre Cinema early supper venue which hit the spot for us.
I booked for the restaurant @ 1300, then had to change to 1500. I called at that stage and asked if the restaurant was serving food all day. Someone on reception checked and confirmed that they were serving all day, even though the website said the restaurant didn't open before 1800!? I had to change the booked again to 1330. When we arrived, no-one was expecting us? Then we were told that the restaurant does indeed not open until 1800, so we had to eat from the bar menu which was disappointing. The food was good though and we were allowed to sit in the quiet restaurant. Thank you.
Beautiful food good quality and tasty but not given full marks as the portion size was too small for the cost. Literally one jersey potato cut into three, tiny bit of veg and fish. Wouldn’t visit again for this reason.
ate here twice first night very good second night not so good steak very tough but after mentioning it they deducted cost from bill which was good as I never asked for that
We had the seafood platter for two which was good and all we needed. Wine choices were limited but adequate and fair prices. Service was good and attentive with the decor modern.
Waiters needed greater understanding of English and dietary requirements. Also food quite odd and a simple salad had no reference in the menu that it had strong Thai or Chinese flavours - infact I am not sure what the flavours were apart from odd.
I love the comfortable convenient venue with fabulous views and very courteous friendly staff waiting on and helping but the food is expensive for what is served, nothing special, small portions and a very limited choice. Quiet on a Friday lunchtime says it all . Come on, provide much better choice and quality food at a competitive price and see the people come in to enjoy! I hope things improve or I will have to settle for a cup of tea and a cake, which were I have to say acceptable.
Had dinner here while staying at the hotel. Friendly, attentive staff, lovely food.
The menu style was pub food and the quality was indifferent. We had expected a restaurant style menu.
We were sat outside but had to go to the bar inside to get attention. The service was poor
Separate letter to follow detailing catalogue of errors during our visit
Would absolutely recommend this place , so chilled out and the staff are very friendly and attentive. We are here three to four times a year and have found the dining experience to be of a consistently high standard , well done Waterfront and Radisson Blu .
Had dinner here 3 nights as staying at the hotel. Not a huge choice on the menu but what we had was good, although what arrived on the plate was not always what was on the menu! The first night we chose from the set menu and all was really good, but the vegetables were not as described. The second night we chose from the a la carte menu, it was my partner's birthday. That meal was also very good, although the ice cream was missing from my desert. The third night was a disappointment. We were told only the a la carte menu was available. From that, there were only 2 starters left so we didn't bother with those. My main course, pork belly, arrived with the ham hock croquet missing and the "honey roasted root vegetables " consisted of a few small sticks of carrot. I sent it back to have the missing croquet added. When it returned all that had been added were 3 strIps of crackling that were so hard I couldn't eat them. Apparently they had run out of croquettes too. We did receive a discount but all in all the meal was a let down. It seems there is something going wrong in the kitchen both with stock control and attention to detail when serving. The staff serving in the restaurant are lovely, particularly Florentina. Also, Special thanks to Hanni who looked after us very well.
Our table was booked for 6pm. We were seated at 6.05 but did not receive our starters til 6.40. Poached egg was hard and over powering beetroot with too little goat cheese.
We had to ask for our main course at 7pm as we were due to attend a show in the next room at 7pm.
Sea bass was so salty. I like seasoning but was excessive. Chef obviously didn’t pay attention.
Such a shame the kitchen let the whole restaurant down. Waiting staff and bar staff are excellent and they were embarrassed by service from the kitchen.
Very very low lighting and no music put on until 7pm.
Perhaps the presence of a manager would improve things.
Service was a bit chaotic but the food was excellent.
Background music was too loud
The buffet offered lots of good quality choices, which was appreciated, but it was a very crowded area at peak time. A member of staff was needed to explain the options available and the layout of the dishes, as everyone was queuing for the first course at one end of the room, but didn't realise that there was another table with the same options at the other end.
There was also a mis-communication over my booking. Following my initial booking on-line, I phoned to increase the number of people and change the time of our reservation. On the day before our booking, I received a reminder of the booking from Open Table, which had the correct (revised) time on it, but the wrong number of people. So I phoned again to advise that we required 9 seats + high chair, rather than 6, as the booking reminder stated (the original booking had been for 5 people). I was informed that this was "all sorted" and there was no problem. However, on arrival, we were directed to a table set for 6, so the changed number had not been made on the system, as promised. Fortunately another table was found at the last minute, but the staff could have done without the extra hassle of having to find extra cutlery, glasses, high chair etc. when they were already extremely busy.
The free bottles of prosecco for the ladies in our party did help to compensate for the other factors, however, as did the complimentary flowers, which the children were invited to give to their mum. We also appreciated not being charged for the bottles of still and sparkling water.
Food was amazing although unfortunately I’d asked for my stake medium rare and it was rare although my friend who had asked for medium rare also was cooked great so not sure what happened with mines!
The food was great, as was the service. Unfortunately the music was too loud and intrusive.
Sunday lunch Carvery style
Food was good , decent Sunday lunch and good job by the kitchen, sadly, front of house let them down badly.
Moody uninterested staff, no one appeared to be in charge and looking around me staff seemed lacking in training
A real shame as a lovely location with stunning views .
A bit of leadership by your management team and this would be a real winner
Had to wait to be seated as no one at desk for several minutes. Loose tea available but no tea strainer available when asked for one they bought out a dirty coffee strainer. Food regularly ran out and coffee machines only dispensing hot milk
The menu is limited and disappointing as was the bland curry and very overcooked bok choi side dish. By 9.15pm tables around us were being set for breakfast. There was no ambiance and not a great night.( The staff in the bar offer great customer service)
Had my birthday breakfast buffet here. Mentioned to the staff that it was my birthday. I received a birthday slice of cheesecake.
Friendly and went the extra 'yard'.
Overall good evening despite a fairly large party in the Restaurant.
Uncooked soft poached egg in starter - waiter thought it was ok but egg whites were clear and raw ! Handed it back but they still tried to charge for it.
Offhand service (except young lady) - Waiter spoke to colleagues over his shoulder as he placed my dish down.
They had allowed non-dining organisers of Triathlon a breakout area in section of restaurant. Well behaved but not an appropriate outlook for a £30/40 pp dinner.
Much better dining on Jersey - avoid.
We had the set menu and the food we chose was delicious; the fillet steak which was included in the Surf and Turf was really tender, and the lobster very tasty. And as for the cheese board, it was fantastic. We have eaten here before and the food has always been good, but this time it was superb!
Menu almost the same every night. Lighting very poor and oppressive. Service poor although Fabrina was excellent. Good selection for breakfast . Coffee always a little cold.
Food was very good and reasonably priced. Service was a little on the slow side but the staff were very pleasant. Excellent location overlooking the marina.
Excellent food, service ok but not much atmosphere. Would recommend and will be returning.
Had a lovely meal here over half term. Great location service and food. Would come again
Food superb ... some items not available which spoilt the evening somewhat service a little slow but overall I'd frequent again in my next visit to jersey
Enjoyed the meal but too long to wait between courses
Wonderful night out
Great food and a nice atmosphere. The staff were very attentive.
Had the 241 Sunday brunch - people were nice food okay - would use again.
Was ok until they charge us £35 for a 10 year old who ate one slice of beef half a potato and a chocolate brownie
