The West Park Ratings and Reviews
We had a lovely evening with our guests from a London. Not knowing much about West Park other than the refurbishment of the hotel which it has recently undergone, the ambience the food, and the staff were fantastic and a big thumbs up to Brogan who looked after us. We will defiantly be going back again with other relatives and friends.
Christmas Eve treat from husband - booked for 4:30pm to stop cooking and start relaxing and enjoying Christmas. Worked really well. We had a nice drink and some nice fish before the Christmas Day meat feast. I had the fish platter starter as a main and they were cool with that.
Service was a bit haphazard (we had 3 waiters who weren’t co-ordinaring) but it was Christmas Eve and they were super busy. You gotta love West Park. Go try it!
A regular haunt as a Harrogate local. Lovely setting with the Stray opposite. Always immaculately clean with fantastic service. Food is great quality, straightforward. Excellent fish and chips, steak etc. Fantastic desserts and cocktails. Great atmosphere for a date, but equally was a lovely place for early doors dining with elderly mother.
There is usually a very good, relaxed atmosphere at the West Park. We have eaten here on Christmas Eve lunch in the past and it was very special, especially when snow flakes started falling out on the stray.
Nice menu, with some interesting variations accompanied by a well priced wine menu from low to higher priced wines; dependent on whether you’ve nipped out for a meal at short notice or if you’ve booked for something special.
Went there for Mother's Day Sunday lunch. Really exceptional service, very friendly, inviting and speedy enough considering how busy they were. The food was also very good. Great bar area with a variety of drinks to choose from. My Mum was very happy, so good all round!! Well done West Park!
I decided to treat my girlfriend to a nice meal at a 'fancy' restaurant for our anniversary thinking 'Wow this is going to be pricey'! However it wasn't anywhere near as expensive as i thought, the drinks were very reasonable and in fact cheaper than most bars in Harrogate and the food was delicious but not out of the way. They also gave us each a complimentary glass of Prosecco as it was our anniversary, which was a very nice gesture indeed.
Overall, a very impressed! Great service and great vibe.
The food here was fantastic! My husband had the Scotch egg followed by the lamb, and I took advantage of the Specials Board, with a halloumi kebab, followed by duck. It was absolutely delicious. It is obviously a very popular place, and could be a bit noisy, but fortunately we were shown to a table in a quieter area.
We ate from the very reasonably priced early doors menu and both had the French onion soup - delicious, followed by roast chicken breast with lovely Boulanger potatoes and mushroom sauce, beautiful food and well presented. The service and ambience were excellent too, would recommend.
My partner and I spent an extremely enjoyable evening celebrating our recent engagement. We were kindly given vouchers to use and couldn't have been more happier. Food was excellent. Staff are a credit to the establishment. It felt intimate and romantic whilst also being vibrant and modern. Thank you very much !
The evening got off to a great start, being personally greeted and offered a choice of table locations. The staff were on hand for the whole evening but were not obtrusive. The food was excellent and there was no long delays between courses, but equally we were not rushed. We will definitely eat here again and may also pop in for a drink when in the area.
Delicious food in a vibrant friendly atmosphere! We were two couples enjoying a Saturday evening dining experience and it didn't disappoint. The main restaurant area may be a little noisy for some people, but we were seated in a quiet outside/inside area with a view of the main area to maintain the atmosphere but in a much quieter environment. We all really enjoyed it, thank you!
