The Westbridge Hotel Restaurant
Late night dinner with a friend.
Food was lovely and service attentive
Very quiet for a Saturday evening but that was not an issue
Good quick service and food was well presented. The restaurant was clean and had a nice ambience.
Very nice food, especially for the price. Be warned though, no booze is served at all (unless you take your own)!
Came for Sunday lunch, but was a little disappointed.
Heard rave reviews regarding Christmas lunches and was hoping they did Sunday lunches.
Lunch was pleasant, but not special.
It seems a wasted opportunity.
The staff are amazing and each one provided a world class service including the chef who made vegan options available at the last minute. Thank you everyone.
Quality ingredients, delicious food and a great service.
Excellent Service, fantastic steak, however, the daily fish is a little bit disappointed. Still highly recommend.
Everything was homemade and delicious. Lovely atmosphere and staff very friendly- a great night.
Very good meal and brilliant service. The meal deal on Open Table's website is incorrect - it is not 12.50 all day everyday and is now 15.50 but only available for dinner after 5 pm but they kindly agreed to honour it when we had booked at 4 pm.
We visited the Westbridge for Afternoon tea having previously visited last Summer and been very impressed with the offering. On this occasion, service was great, waitress extremely polite and professional however food was a let down and nowhere near the quality of the previous visit. I wish I could still recommend but the £15 price tag (each) for a few sandwiches, 1 scone each and pretty dry cake is over priced.
A big thank you to staff and chefs at the Westbridge for preparing such a wonderful Mothers Day afternoon tea for us, and for being very welcoming to our 2-year-old!
Perfect afternoon tea
We came for afternoon tea for my mother's birthday and for a post-wedding dress shopping celebration. The hotel is a 5 or 10 minute walk from Stratford train stations and Westfield shopping centre, which was convenient for us. Afternoon tea is usually £15 per person, which would be a bargain anyway, but on Saturdays it was £17 for two people! Add that to the fact that you can bring your own alcohol and it's really fantastic value. We brought a bottle of champagne and were immediately offered an ice bucket and glass flutes to drink from. Our server was very polite and friendly throughout, and offered us any hot drink we'd like instead of being limited to just tea. The sandwiches were nice, not stale as someone else mentioned previously, the cakes were lovely, and there was a hot caramelised onion and mushroom tartlet too. The chef came out to speak to us personally, and brought out some bonus fresh baked cookies for us!
We were very pleased with the whole experience and would definitely return.
The steak was amazing, we asked for well done and it was cooked absolutely perfectly!
Our afternoon tea was delicious, the tea and coffee was excellent with plenty of tasty sandwiches and although the cakes were mini portions there was a good selection. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We enjoyed every moment. Thank you.
I booked afternoon tea for myself and a friend - great value for money on Saturday (£17 for 2 people). Food was delicious but small portions. Loved the ambience and I would definitely recommend this place and go there again. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Excellent service and staff very friendly and accomadating
It was interesting to go to a restaurant that didn't sell any alcohol but was more than happy to serve you with alcoholic drinks which you had bought yourself without charging any corkage. They even gave me directions to the nearest place (Tesco Express a 5 minute walk) The staff were extremely helpful and the food although it took a little time to come was fine .An ideal place to eat if you are attending an event at the Olympic Stadium.
Great local find, friendly & helpful staff. New menu was on offer - I had chicken- that was amazing came with veggies and French fries. Good value for money.
Lovely place. Friendly competent staff. Nice decor. Lovely clean toilets. Good food. Varied menu (I recommend the Camembert delicious). No alcohol served, but BYO and there's a Tesco express up the road.
Would definitely come back. Oh, and it accepts the Tastecard at the weekend-bargain!!
Easy to walk to and a bus-stop right outside anyway, this place was just right for our catch-up dinner as no loud music or noisy parties to contend with. BYOB saves so much money and the food was varied and tasty. The service was fast and attentive. Will definitely come again!
Fantastic food, very reasonably priced. I find it crazy that this place isn't busier. BYO and no corkage charge adds to the reasons to try this place. We had the steak, budget and teriyaki chicken, all were delicious.
No alcohol was served. Food dry and bland, we didn't even stay for dessert. Restaurant empty. Reminded me of a cheap cafe just more posh
The restaurant was quiet but food was very tasty, great value and no corkage charge for wine. We had the Valentine's set menu and the food was great. The waiters were attentive and polite.
Restaurant was open to all on Christmas day, which was a plus, you could bring your own alcohol which was brilliant. However the service was sometimes slow and the food was overpriced but hey it was Christmas day.
The service staff were the only plus. They were friendly and efficient and really tried to provide a good experience. The food (xmas menu) really let the restaurant down as did the cold air being pushed out from the air-con units instead of heat which made it very hard to enjoy. Good luck for the future and i hope things improve but based on our experience we wouldn't recommend.
Excellent staffs, clean, relaxing and great for any small to medium function. Excellent hide-out.
Atmosphere was lovely and very relaxed. My friend enjoyed her sirloin steak although she did mention it was too pricey. The chocolate fondant tasted great but the portion was far too small for 1 person serving.
The food was ok, but nothing special. It seemed very strange to us that it was 'Bring your own bottle', as there was no offer to chill our white wine.
The waitress also seemed incapable of serving out the correctly cooked steak to everyone and she certainly wasn't rushed off her feet!
I think if you are booking for that special dinner, I would give it a miss. However, if you're looking for somewhere quiet, then this might be for you.
It was just under £14 a head for afternoon tea. The food was good (liked the little scones) and there was a good amount of it. We were not expecting Park Lane fare but the value, what you get for your money is very good. We also enjoyed sitting out in the courtyard. We would recommend it and will return.
Delicious afternoon tea in the secluded surroundings of their courtyard. Really good value because it's BYO so we brought champagne with us. Only downside was their slow service.
A lovely clean place and friendly attentative staff. Food was well well presented but tasted a bit bland.
Only unexpected thing was that it is BYO so we had to shoot off to nearby Tesco.
Meal and service were fine
