Every visit to Wharf is better than the previous time. Keep up the good work. Thank you!
Wonderful dining experience! Excellent meal choices on the menu.
They sat us in the worst table. It was loud and expensive. Not at all what we were hoping for in Alexandria.
The food was excellent! The flounder stuffed with crabmeat was AWESOME! It was fresh, moist and flakey! My family and I will definitely visit again....Mrs. Queen
Great location on lower King Street, nice, quieter atmosphere on second floor. Filet Mignon was very good, a bit small. New York Strip was low quality, seemed like USDA Choice at best. Sauteed spinach, and nice Birthday dessert were excellent, as was the Sonoma Cab wine. Salmon was Awesome! Staff moved around so fast was a bit of a distraction. Will surely return for seafood!
Great service from the minute we walked in the door. Wonderful drinks and food. Will definitely be back again!
Great steak and shrimp. All very fresh in great setting
Had dinner there with some colleagues from out of town. The food was fantastic. I was especially pleased with the filet. The setting is exquisite. I quite enjoyed the whole experience.
We came back a second time after having a rehearsal dinner on Friday. The service was excellent and the food matched the service. Very professional staff, friendly, efficient and helpful. I had great experience.
Excellent customer service and food was great
Family visiting from out of town
Visited twice in the last month. Sat both on the sidewalk and inside; great atmospheres. Service was attentive with the right amount of interactions. Food was excellent. Will be going again for special occasions!
Great restaurant but parking difficult.
Went to Valet parking. Was charged $5.
When they saw which restaurant we were going on they changed price to $15!
Actually a family get together. Food was great. The personality of our waiter, Ken, made a big difference. He was engaging and made it a fun time.
The Wharf is always a pleasure, which is why my wife chose that place to celebrate her birthday. We like the casual ambiance, and the food and service are always excellent. My only reservation is that a meal is becoming quite expensive. Two entrees, with salads and a glass of wine each runs to $100 or more. That begins to get at the limit that we are willing to spend on a couple of meals out each month.
Service was very good (thank you Mohamed), the food very tasty! It is a nice place for a date or special occasion.
Great food, experience, and service. Totally enjoyed myself
Too expensive for the food to not be good. Will not go again. Ordered the suggested she crab soup and crab cakes and neither were worth the price.
Excellent. Stuffed founder is delicious
I dined at another highly rated seafood restaurant the night before and the Wharf was a far superior dining experience. There was no feeling of being rushed, the staff friendly and accommodating and the food absolutely delicious. I was so happy we selected this restaurant and as a bonus it was less expensive. You can’t top that!
Our family went to the Wharf for Brunch yesterday (Sunday). The food, drinks, and service were superb! The servers were patient and understanding with our two young grandsons. I highly recommend the pomegranate margarita! We'll definitely be back.
We were very disappointed with our food. In fact one of our guests got quite sick after her salmon dinner. Would not recommend
NEVER AGAIN!!! I am a longtime resident of Old Town and I guess I forgot how bad this place was...it is meant for tourists...food was Ok to good, she crab soup was warm and unfortunate. Crab cakes were not great...just good...service was atrocious and I Don’t say that ever. Waiter was rude, barely spoke English, didn’t understand what we wanted...I spent $480 at dinner and was embarrassed ...my business clients walked away with a very unfavorable impression. Close your doors and try again...you are doing a disservice to the history of the Wharf.
Fun environment in old town Alexandria. Prices are a bit expensive for quantity and quality. Special occasions is a splurge. Server was friendly but didn’t follow up as frequently as would be expected for this restaurant.
We went to Old Town Alexandria on a Sunday. When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted with lots of smiles and very courteously. Once they checked the reservations, we were asked where we would like to be seated. We chose to sit outside, knowing their would be noise. The waitress was super nice and took our drink order. Since it was Sunday we had the Brunch menu. We ordered the Shrimp and Blue Crab Fritters with the aioli sauce, excellent choice for starters. Afterwards my wife had a shrimp Po Boy sandwich, with heaping shrimps between the bread. I had the Garlic Butter Jumbo Shrimp over linguini entrée. The sauce was creamy but not thick also delicious. The food was served "hot" right from the kitchen. The waitress was always very attentive to our needs, while making us feel comfortable. We highly recommend The Wharf whenever you go to Old Town Alexandria, you will leave knowing that you had a great meal and were well taking care of.
There were six of us for dinner. We were upstairs in a larger room that was not squeezed in. Was a nice environment where we could talk and enjoy ourselves.
I brought my friends to The Wharf to celebrate my birthday, and went off of a friend's recommendation. I am gluten free, and there were multiple options clearly listed on the menu, which eliminated the guessing game I sometimes have to play when it comes to finding something safe to eat. The food was excellent and our server was timely, attentive & efficient. We enjoyed the food so much that my entire party cleaned their plates! Will definitely be back to try something different on the menu!
The service was impeccable! The food was outstanding one of our best meals ever!! When I made the reservation I mentioned we were celebrating a special anniversary and they surprised us with s complimentary dessert. We will definitely be recommending this restaurant to our friends.
Delicious! Great seafood and unique setting. Absolutely delightful.
Great place for a date!
20th Wedding Anniversary
Always fantastic service and food. Setting is in a historic building giving it true Old Town ambience.
It was our 9th anniversary. Our server was great and the food was delicious!
The food was great. Neat old building.
The lobster was fine. The soup excellent. The calamari tasty but greasy. The scallops excellent. The shrimp overcooked. The crab stuffing sauce unappealing, but the crab tasty. The glass of whine was a bit on the small size.
Wonderful staff and food was delicious..
Excellent food and service. Edwin our waiter was also incredibly friendly.
The restaurant was ok. It seemed as if they had updated the upstairs portion of the restaurant but not the bottom floor.
Excellent food and good prices, especially Thursday nights when wines up to $50 per bottle are half off.
