The White Hart at Fyfield
With a passion for provenance, the kitchen sources food from the very best local suppliers and grow much of their own fruit and vegetables. Mark even fishes for his own crayfish and trout from the local reservoir! Cooking is modern British and menus change daily depending on what is fresh and seasonal - with the signature slow roasted pork belly, with foot long crackling, being a favourite.
Roast Pork Belly, Vegetables, Crackling
Slow-Roasted Belly of Kelmscott Pork
apple, carrots, celeriac puree, crackling, cider jus
Roast 28-Day Aged Sirloin of Local Beef
Yorkshire pudding, goose fat roast potatoes, garden vegetables, red wine jus
Wonderful food in an outstanding setting. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, they really could t be faulted.
We had the Wednesday Dinner Club menu and it was real value for money for the quality of food we received. Already planning our next trip to sample the pizza’s with our daughter.
Circumstances have kept us away for a lot longer than usual. We were not able to enjoy the special arrangements for Covid, but the continued use of the Orangery shows how successful that was - and indeed still is! Glad to be back. We appreciated the nice touches in recognising my wife’s birthday.
As always, great food and excellent service. Thank you.
Food & service was amazing as always.
Been many times, never had a bad experience.
My Mum’s birthday!
Thoroughly enjoyed Sunday lunch at the White Hart we were delighted to see that the old Very high standards have been kept despite all of the challenges of the Pandemic. We Cannot wait to return.
The food was amazing, and the 3 course Sunday lunch for £30 was excellent, such a beautiful restaurant with lots of character-will definitely be returning
We ate at the White Hart. Fantastic food. Belly of pork highly recommended!
We had a really lovely anniversary meal on Saturday evening. Haven’t been out for a while and our meal was worth waiting for.
The staff were very accommodating with the table selection, wished us happy anniversary and a card was a nice touch. Be warned though as the offer of “Prosecco to start?” Is not free! That said a lovely evening indeed.
Nice enough place food quite tasty but expensive
Suggest only go if your a woman as you have to get soaking wet going outside to get to the gents
Overall not impressed and don’t be going back
Beautiful pub, lovely setting, delicious food and excellent service - what more could you want?
Full of character and atmosphere a lovely dining experience with good food
really enjoyed all the food and the atmosphere with the lovely staff
Lovely place on the way to Cotswolds to stop for a lunch. Excellent prices for very good quality food, unfortunately the service is slow.
Attentive, friendly and helpful staff. We wanted to eat everything on the menu and the food we chose was delicious. I’ve given it 4 stars as my only slight criticism is that the bowl was so hot, my monkfish continued to cook but it was still delicious. The choice of wines was very good and the outside seating very skilfully laid out. My husband and I felt relaxed and safe and will definitely return soon to taste some of the other food on offer.
My friend and I selected the Pork main followed by a refreshing vanilla mousse with fresh fruit and strawberry ice cream. Both dishes were from the set menu options and for the outstanding quality of food and presentation gave us great value for money. The ambience was relaxed and the service was friendly and efficient. A most enjoyable experience, I will be back.
Another excellent meal at The White Hart. We had the special Wednesday supper menu which is excellent value for money. We sat on the lovely terrace and had a very nice evening with great service.
Had a lovely evening at the White Hart, beautiful garden and wonderful food.
Superb as always. The stuffed courgette flower has been picked straight from the kitchen garden that morning - doesn’t get much fresher than that! The monkfish was also incredible (I had to order bread to mop up every drop of sauce - sorry!!!). Highly recommended 😁
Great food and service as always.. excellent monk fish dish..
Definitely recommend as a whole experience. Very lovely folk.
I am a regular diner so always know I am in for a treat food wise. I chose ( because it was a hot and sunny day), the heirloom tomato starter, the stuffed courgette flower main course and the elderflower creme brûlée. I felt like licking the plates , it was that good.
All round amazing, can’t speak highly enough of the food and service.
Located in the locvely village of Fyfield and very easy to find.
Very attentive service and good gastro pub food.
Always outstanding food and service at The White Hart Fyfield, today was no exception!
Excellent food as usual at this favourite pub of ours and lovely service. It's great how the staff engage with customers.
It has been a long time since we visited the White Hart as I have been shielding. The garden was beautiful and we had a lovely table in the shade next to the stag. The food was wonderful and the staff are always very friendly and attentive. A superb lunch date with my husband!
Fabulous good and wonderful, personal service with a smile! We will certainly be back!
Thank you for a lovely birthday. Food was superb as always; enjoyed being outside and appreciated your attentive service.
Excellent food, friendly staff & the pub is a typical country pub, flagstone floors & pretty garden
Sat outside in their beautiful covered garden area. Staff were very attentive. Great selection of food and drinks. Food was brought out promptly and was really delicious. Not my first time here and certainly won't be the last!
Service and quality of food were excellent. I had the monkfish - absolutely fabulous dish - perfect for summer dining.
We arrived to a warm welcome and taken straight to our table outside. All the staff were pleasant and helpful, providing an excellent service. Each course was excellent and the time between each course was just right. Overall an excellent meal in s nice atmosphere, the extra touch of a birthday card was lovely. We will certainly be back again, definitely the place to go for that special meal.
Excellent outdoor covered dining. Staff were great, as was the food. Highly recommend
This was my first meal in a proper restaurant since February last year so I was a little apprehensive. I was impressed with the COVID measures. All the staff were masked and customers were asked to keep masks on when moving through the restaurant. It felt about as safe as any restaurant could be at the moment. There was plenty of space between tables. We were seated on the terrace in a quiet corner away from the music (much appreciated as I have hearing difficulties) and in the shade. The food was wonderful as always. I had the belly pork which is one of my favourites. No one does it better. The meat just melts in your mouth and the crackling is to die for. The staff were suitably attentive but didn’t rush us. It was a delightful afternoon. Now to persuade my husband to come out for lunch…
Excellent lunch for two courtesy of my children for Father’s Day. So even better value for money! Loved lunch here. Wonderful duck liver parfait, pork belly and sticky toffee pudding! Washed down with a glass of Taitinger to start, and a glass of Primitivo with the pork. Delightful. Will come again for sure.
We had lunch in the pretty garden, asked to have the music changed as the same loud Oasis track was going round and they sorted it out straight away. The belly pork was utterly delicious and also the roasted monkfish equally good. The desserts were scrumptious, sticky toffee pudding and creme brulee. First visit here on route to Oxfordshire attraction and can highly recommend. Set lunch great value.
We try to visit as often as we can, the food and service has always been exemplary.
It’s very consistent you can be assured of a great experience every time.
Light and airy outside setting with good cover for inclement weather. Seating well spaced. Good food choice, cooked well with many flavours and attractive on the plate
Another wonderful meal at The White Hart! We are never disappointed with the food, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is lovely.
